6 months later.

My phone started ringing while I was chopping vegetables.
"Hello." I said answering the call.
"Aarav, where are you?" Daksh asked.
"Home." I said.
It doesn't seem like home without her.
"We are going to be leaving tomorrow morning. I am not listening to any of your shit. You're coming & that's final." He said in a stern tone and hung up.
I sighed.
He is getting married after 3 weeks and it is a destination wedding in mussoorie.
Ofcourse Oberoi's.
Their weddings has to be grand!
Daksh insists on me going to mussoorie with them in their private jet.
And I do not want to go.
I can't face her.
I just took a deep breath and started the chopping again.
It will be fine.
I convinced myself that I can do it.

Daksh's car was waiting down in the parking and I left my apartment.
Me, Daksh, Abhi, Ahana & Kiara were going in a car.
While Ayan, Shanaya, Myra & shruti were in another.
Shanaya!
The name itself brings a smile to my face.
When we entered the Airport, we were walking towards their jet.
The only thing I could hear was her laugh.
I soo badly wanted to turn back and hug the life out of her.
But could I do that?
Definitely not!
We all entered the jet and there were sofa's.
It was hardly a journey of 2 hrs.
Then my world stopped when she came & sat on the sofa opposite to me while talking about something.
She still is the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on.
She wore a lilac crop sweatshirt paired with a black pants.
You're not supposed to oggle!
Yeah! I am not supposed to oggle.
She's not mine anymore.
But well, around her my brain never had a say from the start. So, I just kept on oggling her.
She turned towards me and we had an eye contact. Then she removed her phone from her pocket and started texting someone.
My phone pinged.

I read the message & suddenly reality hit me like a truck.
I am not supposed to do this!
Immediately I slipped my phone in my pocket and walked towards the washroom.
Standing before the mirror I reminded myself,
"You can do it. You just have to not look at her."
Yeah!
That's the most difficult part.
My heart just betrays me everytime I see her!

We reached mussoorie and Shanaya started bouncing around in the house.
Yeah! They had a house in mussoorie between the mountains and this was where they used to come for vacation as kids.
She didn't realise that while bouncing around she accidently came & held my elbow and said
"This is soo beautiful. I missed this place soo much." and then she turned to me.
The moment she turned her eyes went wide as if she saw a ghost.
"Uhmmm! I am sorry. I thought it was— nevermind." She said instantly leaving my hand and I shook my head at her with a smile on my face.
Still the same!
I can be happy with these glimpes of her's for a few weeks.
I saw Abhi giving me these sly looks since the moment we've sat on the airplane.
"What are these looks for?"
I asked him with furrowed eyebrows.
"I can see your love resurfacing" he said while whistiling.
"But make sure you don't go with the flow this time." Ahana said glaring at me.
"If I could make my heart understand that, then well & good. But looking at it I don't think I can." I said looking at Shanaya who was talking to Myra with a constant smile on my face.
Ahana just sighed & left.
"That's the spirit, dude. Finally, you've learned something from me." He said patting my shoulder.
"No, I've not learned it from you. It's just— she's made a place in my heart, home and I can't get myself to take her out of it.
All this time when she was not with me, I realised that there can be no one if it's not her." I said still staring at her and then she turned towards me & caught staring.
Furiously, she got up from the couch and walked towards me.
"Abhi, can I borrow your friend for a few minutes." She said and Abhi grinned.
"Ofcourse, he is all yours." He said & left not before winking at me.
She held my arm & dragged me to a secluded corner.
She looked around if anyone was there & said
"What the fuck is your problem?" She asked glaring at me.
And I just shrugged with a smile on my face.
You can curse me how much ever you want, if that means I am going to hear your voice & look at you.
"I am asking you something, you jerk." She said glaring again.
It feels so nice.
Then, she pinched me hard and I winced.
"What?" I asked rubbing my hand where she pinched.
"Why are you staring at me continuously?" She asked.
"How do you know I am staring at you?" I asked with a smirk.
"I could see it okay?" She said rolling her eyes.
I inched my face closer to her and she instantly moved back.
I whispered in her ear
"Then stop looking at me from the corner of your eyes."
I moved back and stood at my place with a smile.
I soo missed her!
She stood there with flushed cheeks.
"Stay away from me." She said glaring at me.
"I was not the one who dragged you here." I said shrugging.
"Aarrrghh! You're so infuriating. Just don't look at me!" She said stomping her foot.
And I laughed after a real long time.
"I feel like looking at you. I definitely will. I don't think you could stop me." I said with a wink.
"Why are you doing this? Was the damage not enough?" She asked.
"For me it was not damage. You were still there with me every fucking second.
You can do whatever you want, but not stop my heart from beating rapidly whenever you are around. You're the first one to make me feel like this and for me you're going to be the last one." I said looking into her eyes.
"Even if we are not together?" She asked.
"Even if we are not together." I answered and she left shaking her head.
