I stayed on the couch as Xander took a shower. From where I was sitting, I could hear the splash of the water in the bathroom. I imagined what he looked like while taking a bath.
Dammit. I shook my head. I seriously should stop with my thoughts.
"Charity."
My eyes widened when I heard Xander's voice. I immediately went to the bathroom door and knocked on it. "Did something happen?"
"I couldn't find the shaving cream." I heard him talking from inside.
"Oh… uh…" I cleared my throat. Shit! Should I enter the bathroom? "Do you want me to find it for you?"
Of course, Charity. That's why he's asking for help, right?
"Uh… I'll open the door and go inside to check on it, Xander." I said, biting my lips.
"Okay."
My heart was beating loudly inside my chest as I slowly opened the bathroom door. I held my breath as I slowly turned my head to Xander's direction.
I blinked when I saw a wipe towel wrapped around his waist. I felt slightly relieved. Well… I was expecting to see a naked Xander.
I couldn't help but stare at him. Water was dripping from his hair. I watched as water droplets travelled to his neck, down to his chiseled chest, down to washboard abs. I felt my cheeks heated up as my eyes continued to travel down to his vline. Shit. His body was like a Greek God's. Every line and every muscle of his body was perfect. Seriously.
"Charity?"
I almost jumped when I heard his voice. I didn't realize I was already staring at his body for too long. "Uh… yes uh what are you looking for again?"
Damn. Seeing his delicious body made me lost in my thoughts. I felt like my brain short-circuited.
"The shaving cream. I couldn't find it here in the cabinet."
I shook my head as my eyes shifted to the white cabinet attached on the bathroom wall.
"Focus, Charity. Stop staring at him." I whispered to myself.
"Are you talking to yourself?" he asked, his eyebrow shot up while his lips curled in an amused smile.
"Huh… Uh of course not." I denied. I saw my reflection in the bathroom mirror and it didn't shock me when I saw how red my cheeks were.
I looked around the bathroom and I saw his shaving cream on the bathroom floor. I picked it up and handed it to him. "Here it is. It fell on the floor."
"Oh."
I looked at his face. "You're going to shave?" My eyes staring at the stubble growing on his jaw.
Well, Charity. Isn't it obvious? He's asking for a shaving cream, right?
I pursed my lips. He looked seriously hot with his stubble. But I still preferred him with his clean look.
"Yeah," he said, his hand going to his jaw.
I cleared my throat. "You can't do it alone. Let me help you."
"Is that okay with you?"
I pursed my lips with his question. "Of course. I'm your wife, Xander." I said as I looked around the bathroom. "But you're taller than me so I need to sit on the sink.
"Alright. Let me help you."
I guided to the bathroom sink. Then he wrapped his arm on my waist, carried me down on the sink in one swift move.
"Are you comfortable with your position?" he asked.
"Yeah." Now my face was the same level as him. "Now. Stand here in front of me." I grabbed his hand and guided him to stand exactly in front of me. "Uh. There."
Our faces were now inches away from each other. His eyes were exactly on mine. Damn. If he could see right now, I'd swear I would hyperventilate. I could literally smell his body.
I grabbed the shaving cream on the sink and opened it. "I'm gonna put cream on your jaw now." I informed him.
"Alright, Charity."
I touched his face and started putting shaving cream on his chin and across his jaw. Shit. Xander's eyes were directly at me while I was doing that. Even if I'm aware that he's temporarily blind right now, I couldn't help but feel conscious.
Damn.
"There." I said as I finished. "You looked like Santa now," I tried to joke.
He pursed his lips. "Hot Santa, you mean?"
My lips parted. Then I managed a chuckle. "My husband's getting cocky now."
He let out an amused chuckle.
"Don't move," I said as I touched his face with my other hand while the other
I picked up the razor beside me. I put my thumb on his chin and tried to angle his face. "I'll start now," I said in a soft voice.
Focus, Charity. Don't get distracted with his body nor his face. Shit. I should've asked him to wear clothes first. It's hard not to get distracted while his broad chest and chiseled body were only inches away from me.
"Alright, Charity." He said, then he placed both his palms on my legs. Although I was still wearing my pajama bottoms, I could feel electricity travel to my body with his touch.
His hot breath reaching my skin was enough to make me dizzy.
I took a deep breath before I positioned my hand and started shaving him. I tried my very best to just focus on his face. No looking at his body, Charity.
We were both silent. The only thing I could hear was the razor and the loud beating of my heart.
I hope he doesn't hear how my heart thumps for him.
My heart started making cartwhheles when his eyes found mine. I felt like his eyes were looking right through my soul.
Charity, he can't see you. I kept on reminding myself.
His eyes… they were the warmest shade of brown. Like a hot chocolate drink that will warm you in the winter.
"We're done," I said, my voice a bit husky from constant swallowing. Shit. I couldn't help but stare at his clean shaven face. "You look ten fold more handsome now." I said as I gently touched his cheek.
"Really?" Both his eyes brows and lips lifted in amusement. "Ten folds?"
I cleared my throat. "Well, I wish you can now see yourself so you know what I'm talking about."
His hand moved to touch face. His eyes were looking straight at me. "Yeah. I couldn't wait for my sight to go back. I want to see you everytime you blush."
My eyes slightly widened at his last sentence. "What?"
His lips curled up in an amused smirk. "I have a feeling you blush easily."
"I'm not." I denied, shaking my head.
"Aren't you blushing right now?" His brows shot up a bit, as if teasing me.
"I'm not." I repeated.
"Really?" he said, caressing my cheek. My whole face responded to his touch. Even my hair tip was blushing.
"But your cheeks are hot, sweetheart."
"Well… it's because it's hot." I pursed my lips as I gently removed his hand on me.
