Really? Why is he such a good pretender? And why do I feel bad about confronting him about it?
After school was over and I tried to make my way to my car, I noticed a certain redhead rush out of main building.
It won't be a bad idea to make her confront Leonardo.
I took out my phone to text Leonardo.
Meet me at the parking lot, I'd like to explain a few things, I'm sorry.
After hitting send, I jogged to catch up with Fiona who looked utterly scared of something.
"Hey Fiona!" I smiled at her.
"Riona, hey." She flashed a smile.
" Can we go to the parking lot? I need to talk about something important." I lied.
"Do we really need to? I'm in a bit of a hurry."
" Yes. It's just very important." I insisted and she sighed.
" Fine but only to talk for a little bit." She agreed.
Leonardo you better show up.
Fiona and I both went to the parking lot but it was almost practically empty except for the few cars that were parked there.
"Now can you tell me what you want to talk about?" She whined.
I'll have to stall her.
" Can you tell me the details of what happened with Leonardo?" I asked her and she looked down. " I know it's not easy to talk about but it's important to report him." I encouraged.
" Re-report?"
" Yes." I nodded.
Why's she acting so suspicious and why isn't Leonardo here yet?! I need to confirm my suspicion.
"He did try to have his way with you right?" I asked and she nodded. "So it is important." I pressured.
"Yes but-" She paused and had a shocked express all over her face so I turned to the same direction and saw Leonardo strolling over to our direction.
"Is he coming towards us?" She asked and I nodded.
"I have to leave!" She turned to leave but I swiftly grabbed her hand so she couldn't.
"Why are you leaving if you are the one who has been wronged by him? Stay with me, I'm here."
Her shocked expression turned into fear and a look of sadness.
"Why do you look so scared? You're shaking. He won't be able to hurt you I'm here." I assured her.
As Leonardo got closer, I could feel her fear all over.
"No, I can't do this!" She whisper yelled. " I'm leaving." She stated and tried to free herself from my grip.
"You are not going anywhere." I informed her while looking her dead in her eyes.
" What is it?" Leonardo's voiced in a bored tone with his arms across his chest.
" Are you going to pretend to not know her?" I provoked Leonardo while pushing Fiona in his face.
"What the actual fuck is wrong with you, Riona?!" He frowned.
" What? I dare you to lie to her face!" I provoked him more.
" Who are you?" Leonardo asked Fiona. " Have we met before?" He asked her again but no response.
"Answer him Fiona! Tell him you told me everything!" I encouraged.
"Stop it Riona! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding Leonardo." She apologized.
Why's she apologising?
" Why are you scared of him? I'm right here with you." I reassured her.
" Leave me alone Riona! I don't know Leonardo okay?!" Fiona stormed off leaving me looking stupid in the presence of Leonardo.
"Fiona wait!" I tried to run after her but Leonardo held me back.
" What is going on here?!" He demanded but I only shook his arm off and went after Fiona.
Was Leonardo telling the truth all along? Does he really not know who Fiona is? Why would she lie about something like this?
"Fiona wait." I caught up to her and she was in tears.
If she lied to me, this would be far from funny.
"What was that all about?" I quietly asked just to make sure my temper stays in check.
"I'm sorry Riona." She apologized. "I'm sorry." She sniffled.
"Why are you apologizing?" I asked in a monotone.
" I-I lied to you. Everything I said about Leonardo was a lie." She confessed I took a step back out of shock. "He didn't flirt with me or try to have his way with me, it was all a damn lie!" She screamed.
" Why?" I asked in a low tone coming close to her. " Why?!" I grabbed her arm and shook her furiously.
"I-" She paused.
"What? Why do you keep looking down?" I questioned, my eyes livid. " You didn't look down when you lied to my face, look at me and say it."
" I did it because I was paid to!" She confessed while sniffling.
I left her arm and slapped her across the face.
"You lied because of money? Who the fuck paid you?" I growled.
She held her now red cheek as she spoke, " I can't tell you that. Be satisfied knowing the truth." She turned to leave
" You obviously don't know who I am, if you walk out of here, I'll not only hurt you but I'll hurt your family as well. So you better tell me what I want before you make me livid."
" You threaten me, he threatens me, why did I have to get involved with you two nut jobs!" She burst in tears again.
" He who? Why did he threaten you?" I asked but she kept on sobbing.
" Oh for heaven's sake can you stop crying already? It's starting to annoy me." I scolded.
" Can you blame me? My cheek hurts because you slapped me across the face and I'm upset because I got involved in between you and that psycho." She argued.
" Can you shut up already and tell me who told you to lie to me?!" I groaned getting very impatient.
" What if he decides to hurt me like he threatened?"
" Once I confront him about it I can assure you that he wouldn't harm you." I assured her.
Not like it's any of my business, you deserve whatever the bastards going to do to you.
"Are you sure?" She pouted.
"I felt bad after lying to you the other day and I was going to tell you the truth but he threatened me forcing me to keep my mouth shut."
Does she think that story would make me help her?
" But yet you got paid."
" I didn't know that was going to be hurting you, I'm sorry."
" Did you get paid, yes or no?"
" Yes." She lowered her head.
" Tell me who told you to lie to me, don't make me ask you again."
"Keith."
