"Rie what's going on?" Thalia sat down on the couch next to me. "Why do you look so upset?" She held my hand.
"It's nothing." I got up from my seat. "People are just nasty." I rolled my eyes.
"Who made you so mad?" Her eyes sparked interest.
"Nobody. I just realized some people don't deserve to live."
" You aren't the one who gets to decide that Rie."
" Whatever!"
A soft knock came from the outside the front door.
"Who might that be?" Thalia questioned with confusion laced in her voice.
"Probably Keith." I answered as I walked towards the front door.
" Keith?" She crossed her arms across her chest.
I opened the door and Keith stood opposite me with a broad smile on his face.
"Hey!" Keith greeted with a toothy smile as he came in.
I've never trusted people who smile too often. They always seem so fake.
"Let's get the sessions done with already." I closed the door.
" Hey Lia!" He greeted." Where's Cassidy and Iris?" He looked around.
"Don't call me Lia it's Thalia and they are not home." Thalia rolled her eyes.
"I see you're slowly picking up your sisters traits." He taunted but she only looked him dead into the eye.
" Okay to avoid the death glares, we're going upstairs to my room." I announced to break the silence.
" After you," he pointed towards the stairs.
I lead the way till we both got to my room.
"So this is your room?" He moved around and observed the room.
" You're not allowed to touch anything."
"Why? I expected to see pink and pastel colored walls with fluffy stuffed animals but it's so dark. The walls are painted grey and the interior's dominant color is black. Don't girls like One direction anymore?"
"I never had a one direction phase. I don't have interests in such things but that's not the point, can we just do this already?"
" Riona!" He raised his hand above his mouth like he was hiding a blush. "You say it like we're about to have sex."
"Shut up. Take out your books." I ordered.
" Where do I seat?"
" On the floor you idiot." I rolled my eyes. " It's not like I have chairs or anything." I completed sarcastically while darting my eyes at the reading table right next to him.
" There was no need to be sarcastic, can I get a glass of water please?" Keith asked and I groaned.
" Stay here and don't touch anything." I warned before leaving the room.
I stormed downstairs and caught Thalia on the phone with someone.
"I won't be able to make it, I'm sorry Ari." I heard Thalia apologize and I leaned in to listen more.
"I just have a lot of work at home, I'll make it up to you." She sighed.
"Bye." She said before disconnecting the call and leaned on the island.
" Who was that and why did you lie?" I questioned.
" It's nothing. Just drop it." She moved away from the counter.
" They seemed to be inviting you for something but you declined?" I pushed the subject forward.
" Yes it's a party but I'm not interested."
" Why not?"
"Come on Rie, I said I don't want to talk about it. Go back to Keith or something." She groaned with growing frustration.
Shit Keith.
"I'm only dropping this conversation right now, I'll come back to it." I informed her as I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.
I hope Keith didn't snoop around.
I stealthily walked towards the door and twisted the knob open but Keith was peacefully seating where I left him.
Maybe I should lower my guard a bit? He seems so peaceful to say the least.
"There you are, can we start now?" He turned over to me.
I dropped the water on the table and out on my glasses as he brought out his physics textbooks.
"So what exactly do you have problems with?" I questioned but he only stared at me blankly.
" I think I have problems with everything?" He answered with uncertainty.
" That's impossible, how did you get to senior year then?"
" Money goes a long way."
He's also an idiot.
I decided to start with the basics of physics and taught him about units and their derivations and so far, he was actually getting it.
In the middle of tutoring I felt his gaze on me for a while and it was starting to get uncomfortable.
"Can you focus? The formula is not on my face."
"But you're just so beautiful." He whispered and my heart skipped a beat.
" Stop."
Why did I feel giddy inside just now? Is it because no one's ever called me beautiful before?
"Why do you hate me? Why don't you give me the opportunity to get close to you?" He leaned close to me and I moved my chair.
" I don't hate you, I just find your appearance and behavior weird."
" My behavior is weird because I like you Riona." He whispered again and I could feel my cheeks heat up.
This is too close.
I got up from my seat and moved away from him but he got up to meet me.
Is he sexually aroused because we're in my room? I don't remember doing anything that could possibly excite him.
"If you give me a chance, I'm certain I can make you love me and you would be loved equally." His cold hand held a part of my face.
Why's my body failing me? I don't want him to touch me but yet I stood frozen on the spot.
His face came closer and closer to mine and my heart kept on pounding while my eyes slowly closed.
Is this it feels? I could easily push him away but I don't want to. Is this going to be my first kiss? And with Keith, the boy I seemed to have misjudged?
When I felt Keith's lips on mine I twitched. I felt nothing. I remember Cassidy saying during a first kiss it's important to feel sparks but I didn't feel any.
My mind drifted off to Leonardo merely hugging me but my whole body felt like it was shocked back to life.
Leonardo.
My eyes fluttered open and I could still see Keith's eyes closed and body leaning towards me while his lips stayed pressed to mine.
"Stop." I pushed him away. "I don't feel that way about you." I confessed.
" But you let me kiss you. That's the most you've ever let me come!"
" Forget about this kiss, I just wanted to see how it would feel."
"And how did you feel?"
" I didn't like it."
" Riona come on, don't be harsh."
" It's the truth."
" I like you Riona and I'm not one to give up easily." He mentioned before walking towards the table.
"I'll be back tomorrow." He packed his books and left the room.
I fell on my bed and I placed my hand on my lips. Why did Leonardo come to my mind when Keith kissed me? Why do I feel such an influx of emotions? What is this feeling I get whenever I think of him? And most importantly why are my hormones all over the place? I just let this boy kiss me!
