My fist were clenched as I waited for Amina to bring the file. I know it has to do with my father's design. By Allah, if that turns true, I won't spare any of them. I will make sure they taste their own medicine. I puff out an annoyed breath spotting Ahmad walking out with some man his face held in a smile. Only Allah knows how I hate his smile. It annoy me beyond explanation.
And Amina, she doesn't know what she's getting herself into with the man. I had warned her that they're just going to use her and that stubborn girl will not listen. I know I said I won't get myself involved in any matters during my stay there.
Yet, Amina is a different case. I always find myself drawn to her one way or the other. She makes me worry about her whenever she's with Ahmad or much whenever I remember her stay inside the house. I'm afraid their wicked act will turn to her. She's too naive for me to let her be like that. She's too special to me to let her suffer. That's why I will do whatever and protect her from Ahmad. From his family.
Ahmad spotted me and instead of him to walk away bossingly like he does everyday, he walked up towards me. “Good day sir” I commenced.
“Good day. Are you here to bring the lunch?” he asked. His questions annoys me too. I don't know if he's stupid or pretending to be. Why will I come to his office if not of the lunch. I wanted to say but form my lips in a thin line.
“Yes sir I've given her already” I answered. He nodded his head with his eyes still on me. “Do you need anything sir?” I asked again when I didn't see him move.
“No see you later” and with that he turned and walk away. I watched his disappearing figure feeling some kind of anger surge inside me. No matter what I cannot find myself in the same place with him without getting angry. He reminded me of the past. His family reminds me of everything and sooner or later I will accomplish my mission.
My thoughts was cut off by the vibration of my phone. Sorry Nabil, I think you have to leave for now. Some urgent work came through. I will get the file for you at home.
I reread the text again letting out a sigh at the same time. What is wrong again? I’m in desperate need of that file. What if I won’t be able to get it? I decided to text her. Should I come up and get it? I hit the send button and waited for her reply. It came almost immediately.
You don’t have to. I will bring it later so rest assured.
I don’t think i will be able to rest assured. I have to act fast before Ahmad make any rash decisions. I dailed Sadeeq’s number.
“Hello man. How far?”
“Fine guy. Are you at home or office?”
“At home but I'm leaving for office by three pm. I have some paper work to do”
“Okay I'm on my way” without waiting for his reply, I hung up. I glanced at my wrist watch which shows quarter past two. Which means I will be able to finish things up before later. Getting inside the car, I ignite the engine and drove off.

“So you mean to tell me that, the file that is with Amina is the same file Alhaji Abdallah and your dad came up with?” Sadeeq began again, setting two cups of juice in front of us and also taking his seat beside me.
“Not Alhaji Abdallah. The design my father came up with” I deadpaned. Sadeeq shrugged his shoulder In surrender. He knew not to mess things up.
“Whatever you say. But since the file is with Amina, why didn't you get it. I thought you got close to her on purpose”
I was on the verge of sipping the cold juice when I heard his statement. “That was before Sadeeq. Now the case is different. I don't know when they’d turn against her. I won't let that happen” I seethe remembering our small encounter with Ahmad earlier with his fake smile.
“Chill man. You're not the type to get worked up on a small issue. It's unlike you to get worried at this moment. At that a woman”
“Ofcourse I have to. She's someone I-” the words suddenly died down. I let out an exasperated breath. Sadeeq eyes didn't waver away from me. I know he has something in his mind. But I won't let him say them it'll only worsen the matter.
“This is not the time to talk about this. We need to make a move. We've already accomplished the first task. Now we have to do whatever and eliminate his first project”
“Okay” Sadeeq answered in a slow voice.
“Okay?” I repeated. “Sadeeq you know this is not the time to joke around. We-” I found myself pacing around. Sadeeq follow my heed.
“Calm down man. Your Amina will be just fine. Stop worrying unnecessarily”
My Amina? I don't know where that word came from his mouth yet, I find it amusing. She might not be mine, but I know I feel a strong connection with her.
“Your Amina-” one glare from me is enough to shut his mouth up. “Alright I won't say that anymore. Now what is the solution? It's almost past 3 now. You know I'm a punctual guy”
“And I'm the late guy” I said sarcastically.
“Right now we should wait for that dude message and see if we'll get any information” I can't seem to understand the whole thing. I don't know where Sadeeq got the guy, but we get some details from him.
“What if he betray us? To be honest, I don't want all my hard work to go in vain. One little mistake can spoil everything”
“You know what your problem is? You worry unnecessarily” he lightly squeezed my shoulder. “Remember we're in this together. At this stage you might turn to a poor man”
“I don't care as far as I will accomplish my mission”
“Okay then. I will try and squeeze some information from that other guy for now-” the ringing of my phone cut him off from completing his statement. “It’s the lady calling” he said instead with a chuckle. I passed him yet another glare moving away to the other side of the room.
