Ivy and her driver went to the hospital for treatment while Audrey went home for a hot shower. She wished she can wash her sorrows away. Ivy did sell her to Viola. Now she can't face the man she loves with her past all because of her. She took every bit of innocence from her because of money. She's going to make sure she returns to be a common bartender. Her bell rang interrupting her thoughts as she picked a towel, dried herself heading to open it.
Genevieve was at the door.
" Sir Lucas asked for you. It's urgent. Get dressed" she said sternly as Audrey ushered her in. She sat down looking around the house. Not bad she whispered.
She dried her hair and wore a crop top and jeans trousers with a long coat. leaving her curling hair down because of the cold weather.
" Let's go," she said leading her out
" Audrey, we're not enemies. I hope you understand Lucas. He wants to help because he loves you. He knows you're passing through a lot. Open up to him, please. He means well " she said as Audrey sighed
" Yeah. I'm aware of that. I'm not used to been taken care of. I'm trying to share. Advise him to give me time " she urged as Gen nodded
" I know we've had our differences but I mean well too. You make Luke happy and I'm grateful to you for that. Please let me know if you need my help" she said as Audrey stared at her back in shock.
" Where are you taking me? She asked cos the way to the stone was miles away from her house.
Someone published the news of Ivy's raw material company in bankruptcy and Lucas guessed somehow that it involved Audrey. Every investor has begun to withdraw their shares leaving the company a shell of its former self then Lucas demanded it as payment for his wasted millions. Ivy is running helter-skelter trying to raise his money for liquidated damages. She didn't want to lose her company to him.
The car came to a stop as Genevieve pulled over at an estate's compound which was filled with different cars brands. Audrey alighted blaming Genevieve for the fake information.
Genevieve led her inside the house and pressed some key codes beckoning Audrey to go in.
Audrey entered the spacious glassed room with Lucas standing at the window staring down. She could tell he saw her alight.
" Hey, longest time no see" she muttered as he turned around to meet her gaze. Has she been crying he thought?
" This way Audrey," he said leading her to a different side of the suite helping her with her coat
" Dine with me" he stated drawing a seat for her. She wasn't in a good mood to ask questions so she followed his instructions.
" It's your favorite. Grilled chicken and broccoli cheese soup" he said as she smiled taking a bite digging slowly. He held her palm
' what's wrong Audrey? He asked with concern staring lovingly at her
" Had a bad day. " She whispered
" At the hotel? He asked though he was told she was engaged in an accident
" No. I'll be fine. Why did you bring me here" she asked with a straight face not wanting to sound pathetic
" It's my house. I wanted to show it to you. I want to take you shopping too. As an apology for not calling you," he stated as her mood lightens. She thought he was going to break up with her again
" It's beautiful. Maybe too big but it's beautiful" she announced holding his palm tightly as if comforting herself.
" Are you done? "
" Yeah. What's next? She asked dropping the cutlery. She had no appetite at the moment.
He showed her around the Mansion holding her hands as Genevieve trailed behind them. She couldn't help but admire the huge mansion effects and designs.
" Are you going to live here now?
" At the right time. It's still under construction. It's not to my preference yet "
" Okay. " She uttered resting on his shoulder while they walk around.
" Luke! She asked as he looked at her
" What attracted you to me at the hotel? She asked with a heavy heart
" I don't know Audrey. One look at your eyes and I found myself falling for you. Your body was the problem: too curvy and your ass too big." He chuckled as she scoffed at his description of her selling point
" Yet you can't keep your hands off it sometimes" she teased
" Perhaps. What about you? What attracted you to me? I know I wasn't welcoming" she chuckled at his words.it seems he knew.
" Yeah. I like your aloofness. Your attitude and reaction to me, different from other men that lounge here. I didn't even know when I fell for you despite your curses " she lamented
" Forgive my slams. I hated women and there you were so brazen with me that I had to give in. You ignited it by kissing me at the party"
" It goes both ways, my love," she said halting while wrapping her hands around his waist.
" I'd never thought I'll love a man this much. Don't break up with me Lucas. Give me more time to come clean. I beg you" she pleaded tearing down
" Fine. No tears please" he said wiping her tears enveloping her in a long warm hug. She rests her cheeks on his shoulder in comfort.
They break out of the hug and went to the shopping mall, pick some clothes for the upcoming Christmas celebration and some shoes with some toiletries.
" Is that all? He asked checking around the mall. He went ahead to pick more clothes and accessories for her.
" Lucas it's enough l can't wear it all. " She whined as he beckoned her to change into the clothes one after the other which she did and it was entertaining to him.
The attendant packaged their goods wild Lucas made payments for it.
" What's next? She asked holding hands with him while they walked out of the boutique. He directed her to the automobile assembly. She could tell he knew about her little fake accident.
He told her to pick a car of her choice. Audrey didn't want to fight with him. So she picked a Bugatti Veyron while he paid.
" I suggest we buy you a bulletproof car sooner or later like mine" he winked as she was shocked he had a bulletproof car
" That's better than a Bugatti Veyron Luke " she agreed to brush her shoulder with his
" Some other time. It'll be a surprise" he whispered to her ears as she tensed up blushing hearing his melodious whisper
" I can't wait. Let's play granny and your mom a visit if she's still around" she suggested urging to walk faster to the car.
" Of course. Granny will be pleased. She likes you a lot" he sighed
" What? I'm not difficult to like. Jenny and I would have been great friends too if she wasn't obsessed with you" she smirked as luke shook his head. Jenny knew nothing about him. The man she fell in love with was long gone.
