Transmigrated as An Extra In My Novel's First Draft Chapter 16

Out of all the powerful fathers, Serena’s was the most terrifying and overpowered. Letting out a dry cough upon realizing I had just been standing in the middle of the classroom for way too long, I rushed to the first seat I saw. For more chapters visit novel⸺fire.net Taking a seat on the left section of the first row, with a window to my left and an empty seat to my right, I sighed and leaned back. I wasn’t tired or anything; how could I be with the pond painting by my side? Within a few moments, the classroom began rapidly filling up, while a holagraphic timer on the whiteboard that read [00:00:04] counted down the minutes. Soon enough, I heard a small and quiet voice sound from right beside me. "E-excuse me, is this seat taken?" Turning around, I gazed at the girl with long black hair and blood-red eyes standing before me, my pupils freezing. Taking a deep breath, I tilted my head, attempting to hide my expression, and nodded my head. ...I guess I don’t have to worry about confirming this anymore. Deleted characters are coming back, too. This girl was the evidence. As the girl took the seat to my right, I slumped down in my chair, covering my face with the cold metal desk before me. no, not yet...Ruby wasn’t a villain at this point in the book. As a ringing sound, familiar to that of an iPhone alarm on Earth, sounded through the entire classroom, my head flicked upward, seeing the timer on the whiteboard display zeros. Looking around, I saw every seat in the classroom filled except for one: the very middle seat in the middle row of the first section. Of course, it was the protagonist’s. In the next moment, the sound vanished, and a shadowy figure appeared at the doorway...or rather, a shadowy figure and a floating head. Finally, the figure moved into the classroom, the sliding door slamming shut behind and automatically locking. The whole room’s attention, with not a single word muttered, remained on the two entering figures. The one walking was, of course, the teacher. With jade-green hair cascading down her shoulders to her waist and jade-green eyes that sparkled under the classroom lights, she abruptly halted and gazed at the three student-filled rows before her, amounting to 26 students. Her pupils were like...a whirlpool, spinning around in the eye socket and drawing in every student with each fleeting moment. She didn’t use a weapon. Instead, she had a specialized gift. In other words, her eyes were the weapon. She could put any number of people to sleep if given enough time...however, in the process, she would also fall asleep. Everyone she had put to sleep would be transported to her dream, where she would be the god and creator. Imagine her, standing in the backlines of the army, silently putting thousands of soldiers to bed. While the enemy soldiers slept, the awake soldiers would massacre the defenseless bodies, easily winning the battle. Allowing myself to be drawn into her eyes, like every other student, I simply waited, feeling my body grow numb while a feeling of exhaustion suddenly appeared. Meanwhile, she scanned the classroom, noting the four students who had broken free from her low-level trance, and nodded her head. Just as I was about to succumb to the drowsiness and fall asleep, a sudden thunderclap echoed, snapping me and the other students back to reality. Ignoring the barely-awake students before her, she finally released her hands, allowing the body she had been dragging all this time to fall to the ground. A figure with blood-red eyes and shiny black hair quickly scrambled to his feet and found the sole empty seat left. Finally, a voice sounded as the teacher opened her mouth. "Let’s start with my introduction. My name is Lily, and I will be your advisor or instructor for this year. You may address me as Professor Lily." Pausing as everyone slowly returned to reality, she walked to the lectern behind her and continued, harshening her tone. "Now, let’s get one thing straight for this year. No tardiness or lateness will be acceptable in the slightest." Pointing at the blood-red-eyed boy in the first row, she added. "He is only excused today, as I witnessed the reason." At those words, every student began confusedly whispering and gossiping, staring holes into the boy’s back. A new student was being bullied in the courtyard by a senior, and of course, our protagonist had to step in to help. Despite all odds, he won the fight against the senior, and consequently, the first teacher he found to report the incident was our advisor herself. After taking a moment to examine the papers on her lectern, she started. "Let’s take attendance." "Rank 1963, Ruby Phyra." The girl next to me rapidly raised her hand and yelled out at the top of her lungs, which was barely a whisper in reality. With a brief nod, she continued. "Rank 1700, Coal Andris." Noticing she was reading in ascending order, I finally sighed in relief. At least, I wasn’t the lowest rank. That reward would go to the person beside me. "Rank 1667, Athen Dee." Raising my head, I said while avoiding Ruby’s gaze. "Rank 1153, Devin Markos." "Rank 453, Rohin Lysandros." "Rank 16, Ares Drakonis" "Rank 5, Haerin Veila." "Rank 4, Carissa Aurea." "Rank 3, Serena Lyra." "Rank 2, Maximus Haxter." "Rank 1, Leo Starvos." Clasping her hands together once more, she looked up from her lectern and announced. "Since today is the first day, we’ll start simple with weapon selection, dorms, and finally some practice time." Many students happily cheered, having expected some pop quiz on the first day...and I was one of them. Having this keychain, worth billions of gold coins, simply lying in my pants pocket was extremely stressful.
