"Hope you didn't sustain any injuries. Brother" Pure sarcasm twisted in his statement.
Michael walked in with his hands behind him. He eyes, watching Williams curiously as he took every slow step to where Melissa stood. He put his large arms around her and pulled her into a hug.
"Are you okay, Melissa" his rough voice cooed as he hugged her tight.
Williams had nothing else to do than to stand like a statue, his face looks white like all life had been drain out of him.
He couldn't just keep staring at Melissa in his brother's arms, Trembling. She was scared of him and that hurts him more than a knife cut.
Finally, after a long time, he shifted. Just a little, the smirk on Michael's face made him want to punch him right in the face but he had done already too much.
Of no doubt, Melissa would take him for a monster. He had said hurtful things to her, hurtful things to his brother, tried to fight with him, and even touched her body.
The body he had been dying to touch, own, and claim. The body he wants nowhere else but in his arms, the last place he would prefer to see her would be his brother's arm.
"What are you doing here, Dick," Williams said through clenched teeth, his left palm on his face while the other folded into a fist.
"What are you going to do now" Michael moved Melissa behind him "Hit me now?" His smirk increase "You almost raped her and now you want to punch me?".
Melissa clenched to Michael's shirt, although, they could not see her face it was obvious she was scared. Her breath was shaky as she tried to talk.
"Please go away Williams".
Williams frowned, lines draw on his face as his eyebrows connected. He moved back, his body shaking, and he was scared.
Scared that he might do something that would make her hate him more. Scared that he might lose whatever he was still trying to contain.
But instead, he snatched the ceramic plate on the table, within the blink of an eye, it was shattered. His ill-temper was hitting its limit already.
In his entire life, he had never wanted something or felt like he needs someone, but this time he needs Melissa. He already told her that he loves her, eventually, his nemesis must have overheard everything.
" I don't know much" He cleared his throat awkwardly "But I love you and you must be mine".
Michael chuckled, he turned slowly to Melissa. His hungry eyes roam around her small body frame, hidden behind the towel. He cupped her face in his large palms, unforeseen, she didn't retreat or act like she was uncomfortable.
She just let him, for an unknown reason, Melissa just let him. He pressed his nude lips on her forehead, his bright eyes staring deeply into hers.
" Go put on something," he said.
Just like she discovered her hair was still slightly wet, her face red and her lips swollen, she held on tight to her towel. She looked deeply into his eyes because she wasn't buying the idea of leaving them, not when they nearly broke each
others nose about an hour ago.
"I can't have you raw in his eyes again" Williams smiled, he pushed her gently Into the room "I promise we won't kill each other".
Melissa sat on her bed, her eyes were fixed on Karen's picture. The girl just seems happy, like everything was normal and fine.
Just that morning, she woke up to a credit alert. About a reasonable amount of money was sent to her by an unknown person, she still thinks that she has to get to the bank to see it was a mistake.
When she verify anything with the bank, she would make sure she completes the payment of her rent, get some food, and save up the rest.
Ryan's phone came across her mind.
At least, if she would have to give her the savings, she would gladly do, and ask her about the help they had talked about on the phone.
Williams's voice brought her back to reality, she had to remember she was almost naked in an apartment with two hot men.
What she doesn't understand why was her sudden attention towards Michael. The way she felt for him when Williams talked about his mother.
Melissa reminded herself she had not still recovered from her first heartbreak, but here she sat in her bed, thinking about the feelings she developed for Michael just within few hours.
The most annoying thing is that she thinks she has something for Williams too. Like she belongs to him, but the good part of her keeps on reminding her that Williams is her worst enemy.
He had mishandled her, make out with another of her enemy, talk to her home she was a whore, choked her, to crown it all, what happened that day explained the rest.
But, there was something strange when he touched her. The way he looked at her, the way he kissed her, the way he says she belongs to him like she was his possession or heir.
" I don't know much"
Williams's word came bouncing back into her empty head. She was just too scared and angry to admit that she is feeling something really strong for Williams.
"You know why I hate you Michael" his voice made her heart melt "It's the fact that you are my brother".
Melissa stopped on her track, Her blouse was halfway over her head. She walked slowly to the door, obviously, she was eavesdropping.
" I don't hate you Williams" She heard Michael's calm voice "I just don't like the fact that we are brothers that don't love each other".
There was silence for a while, which was very uncomfortable. Melissa thought about moving closer to see if they were maybe whispering their debate.
That would be a great idea, like who would want to talk about their family out.
"Cat got your tongue, bro" Michael's Voice sounds comical "I want us to be a happy family".
Williams chuckled " You are not part of my family," He said, "I just don't know why you bring nothing but pain. Year's ago, your mother sent mine away, now you want to take what I want".
Michael nodded, he crossed his arms " What do you think you want?" He began to walk "You already have what you want, you are the legitimate son of our fa-".
" Stop saying that".
"It's true" Michael walked towards Melissa's door "You already have all of the father love. Since I was a baby I have never belong to a family, and you want me to be hopeful? You and your mother made life unbearable for me, took all I cared about".
Williams opened his mouth but closed it back without saying anything. He was surprised and confused.
" What are you talking about?".
"Oh!" Michael walked back to him "You want to act like you don't enjoy the fact that your mother came and took our father away? Or the fact that almost all his wills are written with your name? Or the fact that he calls you his only son".
That sounds awkward, Michael had never had this conversation out from their meeting room before. For him to be having it here would be for a bad reason.
The smirk on his half-brother's face could explain something fishy was going on.
"Your Mother made father drip me out in the street for year's" Michael continued "So now you want to resume from where your mother stopped? By taking what I cherish the most".
Then it clicked, Melissa was the reason he was acting strange. He wanted her to see him as a very bad person and it worked. It was certain Melissa would take him for a devil now.
Williams had to do something, even though he doesn't want to divulge that Melissa owns a large spot in his hard heart.
" Haven't you destroyed my life enough?" Michael smirked.
Before Williams could open his mouth, Melissa walked out, fully dressed. She had this murderous look in her eyes, the look that could kill.
"Don't you feel like knowing what the temperature feels like?" She said, looking straight into Williams's eyes, obviously wanting to make him see he had no effect on her.
"Yea" Michael took her hands "Let's go have dinner". They walked away heading towards the door " I know you won't steal anything, just close the door on your way out"
Breathing heavily, all Williams wants is to pounce on Michael and snap his neck if possible. He wants to jab with all the anger he had.
Too bad, he couldn't do it, at least not in front of the person he wants.
" You're gonna regret this, You son bitch". He said bluntly "I will make sure you pay for it".
Michael decided to ignore, he had played his part well. Giving Williams a reply would only give him too much to say.
" Good fate. BROTHER" He mumbled "Maybe you would be able after you succeed in fucking my Mum".
