I impose nervous seeing that the engine is already on. I am surprised by the coincidence of this event, because, let's say that I am not extremely used to luck accompanying me in each of my acts. That damn thing is never there when I need it. I point my eyes at the white door that is a few feet away and leads into the house, or so I suppose. The simple act of imagining my father turning that knob and entering the garage terrifies me, nor do I want to think about what will come next. - Aren't you going to kiss me goodbye?
He asks with a smile on his face, managing to completely enrage me.
May: Are you kidding me? Start the car.
Samuel: I went out there when we first arrived (says pointing behind me). He will take time to come believe me.
May: But at some point it's going to come in. He can't see us and you know it.

May: Are you dumb or are you pretending to be?
Samuel: I love when you get nervous.
He comments with his eyes fixed on me, as if analyzing every millimeter of my face. It is inevitable for me not to blush, which seems strange to me. Since when does the look of a boy make me nervous? My whole life was based on being the center of attention, the red dot in the sights of most of the people around me. What makes Samuel different from everyone else?
May: You should be nervous because if that door opens, you're not going to sit there again, not even to take pictures.

The ironic expression that forms on my face should be photographed by someone to see it again and again. I snort, convinced that he won't leave if I don't follow his whim, and if he does, he will manage to be angry for a long time, which I won't even bear when I get home. I move closer again and notice a smile on his lips before closing my eyes and kissing him. It doesn't turn out to be a kiss like the ones we usually give each other, it lasts much less and I just keep my lips glued to his for a few seconds, barely moving them. But when I pull away and open my eyes I see a wide smile on his face, like that of a little boy who finally managed to have that toy he wanted so much. Samuel (laughs): As you send.
He says and relief hugs me when he buckles his seatbelt again.
- MAY! (I listen again from somewhere).

I exclaim when I see him actuate the gear lever.
Samuel: Yes, stay calm (looks at me). I love you.
He adds, starting to accelerate.

I say something late, knowing that even he will most likely not be able to hear me. The car is already out of the garage and the wheels begin to roll on the cobblestone floor, making a strange sound. I wonder if Daddy or anyone in the house will listen to it, although at the moment it is not what matters most to me. Anyway, there was nothing I could do.
I observe that black vehicle that moves further and further and finally disappears, disappearing into the bushes that surround the narrow path that leads to the street.
Another cry from my father brings me back to reality, where I am looking at an empty garden without any meaning. I shake my head in consciousness and run to the wall that borders the doors, pressing the button that makes those huge wooden boards descend. In a matter of seconds, darkness takes over the place.
I walk to the white door and open it, appearing in a kind of hallway. I turn around, closing the door behind me with extreme care when a voice behind me startles me.
