having caught sight of him I got an unsettling feeling out of my belly, although I did feel relieved to see him it had still not sat right with me, that he had cut my peace short.
He really did know how to work his way around, especially with the ordering around and the command tone which he used in addressing me.
“What do you want evans?.” I asked the question, my head raised and my ears remained aloof. I knew what it was already but I wanted him to understand that my stand was firm and I was not switching lanes or changing minds.
He needed to know why I left in the first place, not that I expected him to come after me or anything , but I still knew he got a day to think of how dumb his decision was sin the first place, and yes maybe I did act out on impulse and responded rather harshly to the situation that was what he needed.
“What do I want? Really ciara?. Let's head on home and we would work it all out.” he responded, I heard the desperation in his voice and I wondered if it was flora who had sold me out, but although she was obviously on evans side she certainly was not going to rat me out in such a manner.
Besides I barely knew where I was headed until I got to Luis area, flora had no idea I was coming up to visit luis which also meant he pulled out a search for me.
“I'm not leaving, not with you, at least now now.” I answered him, my face was pinned against Alfred who I rocked in my arms as he cooed silently about to fall asleep.
“go on, leave, what else are you expecting that I say?.” I asked him still gloating, I got on his nerves I knew but it felt just the same way when I tried talking to him times without number, hopefully he was certainly going to learn in a way or two, especially with the whole news of canceling the wedding, it must have dealt him a huge blue, unexpectedly.
He had not seen it coming, I made sure of it and maybe he still had not believed that I could do such a thing, neither could I, but with the whole issue of his mother, I knew I could barely hang on anymore.
“I did not come up, all the way here, passing through all of this stress just to end up this way okay?I did not go through all this pain just so I could end up leaving, or hearing you speak in such a rude and harsh manner. ciara what is wrong with you? Why the hell are you acting up?. '' he asked but he knew exactly what it was that he had done.
“I don't know what this is all about, and I would not talk into your family issues but would you quit raising your voice?, it's not so nice yelling at a woman you know.” Luis added in and I nodded.
“you hear that? Pick a thing or two from him and stop yelling, Alfred is trying to sleep and you are not helping matters, you are never helping matters.” I answered with sarcasm laced into my voice. I was worried sick about it and got knee deep into the whole stress and issue.
“Will you please excuse us Luis, ?.” Evans asked, he was angry, pertaining to his words and gestures, I was certain he was not so impressed by all that had happened, at least not with me or anybody else.
Luis glared at Evans and then glanced down at me. I nodded as a gesture that it was okay and I would be fine before he walked out from the room reluctantly.
“What do you wish for me to say? Go on my kneed and grovel? Kids at your feet maybe?, throw an apology party? Buy a whole store of flowers?, a building? A company? A shopping mart? Anything you want just fucking mention it ciara because I would do it but please let us go home before the press gets winded up once again in our issues?.”
He asked but I only scoffed in response and said nothing more, he was fine with whatever drama it was that his mother handed out with the press but I could not even get the breathing space I needed?.
“Don't you think it's too early to keep doing all of these?.” he asked and drew closer to me, his voice was dead ass low and I was not sure why he spoke like that.
Perhaps because he got told off by Luis and wanted to change for it or scared to wake up later or maybe worse, perhaps because he was way too embarrassed by the situation and wanted no one else to hear what it was we spoke of, either ways I cared less.
“I don't know man, I don't wish to speak to no one, none of you, I don't wish to see the likes of you, I tried talking to you, I tried explaining what it was that I wanted but the all fell on your deaf ears so fine, go on tell rosa now that I am not interested in whatever weddings she had planned because there would be no wedding, she can get herself another wedding party is she so much as wants..” I explained.
A smile formed on my face as I saw that Alfred had fallen asleep, he was just so cute and peaceful.
Evans reached for his cheeks and stroked it fondly yet slightly then pulled away from me.
“he's young, .. Don't you think?.'' Evans asked and I was not so sure what it was that he meant neither was I certain about whatever he was headed on with the conversation.
