Cassandra shut her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder as they swayed to the slow intimate song playing. He was so close to her, his fingers tracing her bareback. She was unable to assist in the longing for Edward to return. She drew back, knowing she was on the verge of losing control. "I have to use the ladies' room."

The woman turned on Cassandra, her teeth bared. "Listen up, you b*tch. If you think having his bastard child will make you a millionaire, think again, you crap."
Cassandra then felt her anger rise, and she made fists with her hands. "Don't insult my daughter like that."
Nikki smacked Cassandra in the face. "Take your twerp and leave Edward alone."
She put her hand up and smacked Nikki across the face. "I told you not to call my daughter such names."
She uttered, trying to touch her cheek where Cassandra had smacked her. "To Edward, you're only good for one thing: an instant game in the trash bag. That's all he'll ever want from you."
Cassandra turned and ran, crap ringing in her ears. When Edward saw Cassandra running out, he was sitting with some men, sipping a martini. He excused himself and decided to follow her out. "Cassandra, Cassandra, wait.. stop," He caught up to her and grabbed her arm, which is when he noticed she was crying.
She looked up at him after he took her face in both of his hands. "What happened?" he exclaimed.
Edward's blood started to boil after hearing a frustrated account of what had happened in the women's room. "I'm going to kill her," he swore.
She sighs and shakes her head. "No, Edward, let this go, it's late, send me home," she says as a tear falls from her eyes.
He felt his heartbreak for her as he wiped away her tear. She probably didn't deserve to be broken for. She did not deserve to be treated in that manner, and he would not tolerate it. He'll make sure Nikki will pay for this.
"I'm sorry, Cassandra. Nikki and I dated a long time ago, and she's been wanting to get us back together; seeing us together must have made her feel insecure and jealous," He lifted her chin. "Don't believe a word she says; you're nothing like she claims."
"Thank you very much, Edward," she sobbed.
He encircled her with his arms. Not in a sexual sense, but to comfort her. Nikki's words lingered in her mind as she rested her head on his shoulder.
Cassandra followed Edward to her room, where they inspected Akia, who was sound asleep. Edward had every plan to leave as he shut the door and walked toward the other door. But when he saw she was still agitated from earlier, he went over to her and wrapped his arms around her.
