Bethel's pov
[Dawn's mother]
I entered the room slowly with two maids behind me.
I couldn't stop staring around the place like a village girl.
The whole place was radiant and fabricated with a lot of porcelain materials.
"This is the room the King has assigned to you, ma'am Bethel" one of the maids said and I shook my head in disbelief.
I don't remember asking God for anything like this. I just wanted him to make Dawn experience a better life than I did.
He's such a promise keeper!
I sat on the bed feeling relieved from the long walk from downstairs.
Who knew stairs could be so long and broad??
"Where's my daughter?" I asked as I watched them put down my things next to the closet.
"She will meet you tomorrow ma'am".
I sighed and laid on the soft bed.
Its been ages since I felt this....
Dawn
My eyes flared and I blinked rapidly.
I could hear his heart beat against my left ear. So clear and like music to my ears.
I was on top of the king and he had his hands around me.
I sat up on the bed cuddled in King Lee's coat I wore.
The fur was so soft.
I suffered a terrible headache last night but right now, my head feels lighter than before.
He sat up too and started removing the rings on his fingers.
I removed mine too and he cracked.
"What are you doing?" He asked and I wore the ring back on my finger.
"There's a tracker in it so don't ever take it off, alright?".
I nodded gawping at him sheepishly.
So that how he always knew where I went to.
Even when I found his mom in that room.
King Lee!!!
"I thought Its morning already" I muttered and yawned loudly.
"Go back to sleep then" He groused rolling his eyes.
I hit him on his arm softly. He smiled trying to hit back and I screamed making him flinch.
I laughed out loud and he chuckled.
"Silly girl" He muttered.
"So, I'm no longer brainless rat??" I asked hysterically.
"Of course, you are" He chimed and I chuckled.
"So, what happened to...sir Blade?" I asked with a shaky voice.
"Nothing special, yet. I won't touch him until the king of Muzana gets here. I invited him" He said and I cringed.
"I remember calling him 'father'" I whispered and he sighed.
He didn't say anything as he came to where I was and sat before me with his legs folded just like mine.
"I noticed you stopped adding formalities to your sentences. Don't forget I'm still the king" He smirked.
"I'm sorry, your highness. I just wasn't talking to you as a my king. I saw you as my husband to be" I said grinning.
"Really? I didn't think of that..." .
I chuckled and covered my face with my palms.
"I was just joking, your highness. I'm aware that people like me can't get married to the king" I stated and I had no idea why I felt amused.
He touched my hands and brought them down from my face.
"Don't be too sure, Dawn" He whispered gazing intently at me.
"But...if we don't get married, we can be best friends, right?" I asked and he chuckled.
"I thought you're having an headache, blabber beak" He sneered glaring at me.
"King Lee..." I faked crying and he pulled me into hug.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it" He cooed and I held him tighter.
I don't know what's wrong with me?
I don't want to loose him.
I'm sure I love him more than I love myself.
Next Morning

I couldn't sleep more as I kept hearing noises from outside.
It seems like people were protesting...
I got off the bed and moved to the balcony where King Lee stood.
He noticed I was right behind me and he turned.
"Go back inside" He said calmly.
I quickly glanced at the large number of people outside the gate.
I was right!
There's a protest going on.

I covered my mouth unable to believe what I was hearing from the crowd.
They're referring to me!...
*what should we do about the crowd your highness?*
I turned and saw Raphael standing at the door.
"The soldiers should drive them back peacefully but if they prove stubborn, I want everyone of them flogged with no mercy" He replied and Raphael left the room.
The King turned and looked at me.
"Don't even think about crying" He said and took my hand taking us back to the room.
We sat on the bed and he wiped the tears that had scrolled down on my cheeks.
"I've faced this before, you know. The people kept screaming and protesting that they won't have a psychopath for a king.
"I was much worse when I was little. I was far more crazier and dangerous then. I've gone soft. And you made me more merciful than I used to be.
"Let the people talk all they want - thats the only thing they're good at.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I have some nagging old elders I need to address"...
I chuckled with a shrug.
He kissed me on the lips before leaving the room.
I feel so heartbroken..
