The demon smiled only for its eyes to widen as Tide impaled him using his other hand with a sword. Clenching his hold on the swords, Tide called upon its ability with the sword impaled inside the demon.
Panic flashed across the demon’s eyes as it opened its mouth wide open and like a dragon breath sprayed out a wave of fire Tide had no way of protecting himself against. The pain from the fire caused Tide to lose focus as he let go of the sword.
The demon pulled out the swords, and clenched its bleeding wound when all of a sudden its attention was caught by something heading quickly towards their position. The demon’s eyes went out of focus only to refocus again.
Looking back at Tide who was now handling the flames, and then its soldiers left from the war. With no hesitation the demon sped off without saying anything. Tide noticed that and so clenching his teeth in pain while the flame kept burning on him, he called out the sentinel bow.
The demon couldn’t get far as an arrow flew past by it only to exploded and like an incoming waves the demon was pushed back, Flowua at this moment has already closed in and so she appeared right above the demon and struck only for the demon to sacrifice one of its arm to prevent it’s head from being punctured.
Swallowing his pain, the demon once again tried to escape only for the same thing to happen with an arrow passing by it and exploding before pushing him back with the force of a wave, as the demon moved closer to the two demigods, it clenched its teeth before disappearing.
Tide smacked his teeth seeing that, meanwhile Flowua was taken back by the sight only for Tide to speak up "The demon somehow is connected to the other world Ikem told us about, right now he seems focused on escaping and chances of that is high with its disappearance"
Flowau’s nose twitched as she looked back in concern to her brother, who looked burnt and roasted; she was about to speak up when a roar filled with terror caught their attention. Tide and Flowua looked into the distance where the roar came from only to see the demon appear with most body parts missing.
What scared both the most was that for the small second the demon appeared back to their world, the caught glimpse of dark shadow like being staring at them in huge as they swallowed up the pieces of the demon they got their hands on.
The demon even with all that, still focused on escaping was Flowua stretched out her hand halting the demon’s movement, diapering from her position she appeared close to the demon as it’s head fell off it’s shoulders.
Tide seeing that sighed as the sentinels hand and weapons behind him dispersed only for his eyes to roll back as he fainted and began falling further into the sea , Flowau saw the sight and so she moved in grabbing hold of her brother.
Flowua catch hold of her brother immediately, flew back to his castle where she called for the healers to begin working on him. Meanwhile she went back out to join the war and make sure that anymore soldiers were lost on their side.
At the end of the day, corpses can be seen floating around in the water. Almost reminded Flowua of the past where a massacre took place among their people only this time they had a real enemy.
Getting back to the Castle, Flowua was informed of her brother’s awakening. Unlike before Flowua wasn’t so eager to face her brother, seeing him hurt made her forget how bad she left things between them but no he was okay, her past decision was right in front of her to face.
Thinking of something, a smile bloomed on flowua face. For her the war was something she never expected was needed. After she took care of the demon Murlocs sent after her, she planned on helping her daughter to handle the rest.
The sight Flowua saw when she was back in her kingdom was something she believed to be an opportunity for her redemption. She saw how everyone, male and women, worked together to protect their home.
There was no war, everyone was playing their role, with few keen observations Flowua caught some who were showing obvious attraction to their opposite. Nothing could have stopped Flowua from ending the war right then and there, but the sight did.
"Many will die but the ending outcome will lead us to be better future" Flowua thought to herself as confidence radiated all over her being as she made her way to her brother chamber "The war was good for me and my people, now i can only hope it will be good for me and my brother"
Standing before the room to her brother’s chamber, all the confidence Flowua had before was nowhere as she held the door handle "Come in sister" She heard a deep voice call out to her from inside the room.
Blowing out bubbles from her mouth, Flowua opened the door to see her brother standing in front of a window looking outside, with glowing green plants wrapped around his burnt figure. Walking forward Flowua joined beside him as she looked outside to see sharkemen and Murlocs working together to mitigate the damage done to their home by the war.
"I win" All of a sudden she heard her brother speak up.
"Huh?" Flowua subconsciously responded confused.
"It might have been a century ago or less, but you wanted to make a bet on who will have the best kingdom ready to present to our father upon his awakening" Tide said with a smile on his face as he turned to face his sister.
Flowua opened her mouth to disagree before she respond "You won yet you didn’t at the same time"
Now it was Tide’s turn to be confused "What do you mean by that?"
Flowua smiled as she began walking around looking at her brother’s room "Between me and you, the win is yours but our father is who decides the final winner. Till then our bet has no winner"
Tide raised an eyebrow "You sound confident on winning"
"Of course brother, this war hasn’t been all bad for everyone, I still have a chance" Flowua said with joy present in her voice.
Tide looked at his sister happy before finding a place to sit "Tell me how you have been sister over this last few years" Flowua was taken back by the question before she found a place to sit.
As the two siblings were conversing, Far away deep in the water where no light should be seen. A sight beheld there, as multiple lights spanned across distance on this part of the sea floor, Murlocs referred to those from the deep can be seen florliking the streets on this unknown deep kingdom.
Deep underground of this kingdom, a huge scaly like body humming with red light can be seen laid across the underground space, The body reminiscent of a snake, scaly and huge at the head of the creature is a head similar to that of the demon Tide faced off against with huge long protruding horns.
If Ikenga was here, he would say the creature looked similar to a leviathan, The creature eyes opened all of a sudden, it shook before standing up with two huge scaly hand with sharp claws to support its upper body "Outcome wasn’t as i expected, I thought at least one of the kingdom or demigod will fall"
The huge body moved around "I also lost my alliance with the sea god after this failure"One of the huge hand was brought up as a magic circle appeared to show the scene of Tide and Flowua fighting, at the same time the creature focus it sight on the blessing give to it by the dark god which it felt was slowly dispatting.
"It wasn’t all that bad, at least I have something new and interesting to study" The creature thought to itself as it the blessing Jaws counterpart gave it hovered above his hand.
This creature is the original body of the demon who has been a problem for Tide and Flowua, it originally wasn’t , it had a full on Murloc body before that it was carefully nurturing to bring back to full strength.
But Tide and Flowua didn’t give it time and opportunity for that to happen. Over the years Tide and Flowua hasn’t let up on finding the demon and its hideout even after purging most of the demon followers from their kingdom.
It came to a point that they were close to finding the demon that it had no chance but to change location and the only place it went in all the sea and ocean was to go further deep where no one in their right mind normally would go.
Unlike Tide who went deep and met those behemoths and was ignored, it was the opposite for the demon. Once it got close all those deep sea behemoths came after him, it took all he got to be able to flee yet not all they behemoth was so easy going as one specifically came after him. This one which was close to ending him and if not for his last push on parasitizing the behemoth and taking over, he would have been long dead.
