Chapter 1383: Chapter 82: Canaan’s Foster Father (Part 2)
Luo En gave a playful smile and continued to pretend to worry for the gods, seriously reminding:
“However, the Egyptian Gods may not care much about the fate of us humans, but for the reigning Pharaohs, this is their property, and they might not easily let go.”
“I request you all to leave some traces of Divine Power, to unleash divine wrath within Egypt, creating some chaos. It is said that the current Pharaoh, Ramses II, values his people greatly. If a calamity from the gods descends upon ordinary Egyptians, he is likely to focus on disaster relief and protecting his subjects, thus relaxing control over us. After all, compared to a group of slaves who cannot integrate with the natives, the lives of Egyptians are more important. This way, I’ll have the opportunity to save my fellow people and bring them back to their homeland.”
“Directly targeting Egyptians? Isn’t that too risky?”
The Canaan Gods hesitated, unwilling to easily fall out completely with the Egyptian Gods.
Luo En shook his head and said:
“Quite the contrary, the greater the commotion within Egypt, the more it proves you are still staying in the Egyptian Divine Era. By the time they calm the calamity and come to their senses, we should have already escorted the gods away from the Egyptian land. By then, when the Egyptian Gods’ influence fades, we’ll open the Holy Cabinet, restore your true forms, offer sacrifices to you, allowing you to regain your original authority. In an instant, we can leverage your Divine Power, break free from this prison, and return to our homeland!”
What a counterintuitive thinking!
Upon listening to this well-reasoned analysis, the Canaan Gods felt the plan was feasible and agreed with nods.
Quickly, with the instigation and inspiration of Luo En, the Canaan Gods finalized the Ten Commandments to bind and guide the Canaan people:
“First Commandment: You shall have no other gods before me (Yi Le).
Second Commandment: You shall not make for yourself a carved idol, nor any image resembling anything in the heavens above, the earth beneath, or the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I, Yi Le, your God, am a jealous God. For those that hate me, I will visit their sins upon the fathers and their children unto the third and fourth generation; but those who love me and keep my commandments, I will bestow lovingkindness unto a thousand generations.
Third Commandment: You shall not misuse the name of Yi Le your God; for those who misuse the name of Yi Le, Yi Le will not hold them guiltless.
Fourth Commandment: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yi Le your God. On that day you, your children, servants, livestock, and the foreigners in your city shall do no work; for in six days, Yi Le made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore, Yi Le blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Fifth Commandment: Honor your father and mother, so that your days may be long in the land Yi Le your God is giving you.
Sixth Commandment: You shall not murder.
Seventh Commandment: You shall not commit adultery.
Eighth Commandment: You shall not steal.
Ninth Commandment: You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
Tenth Commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, servants, ox, donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
After a simple review by the gods, each imprinted their mark on the Holy Covenant and handed it over to Luo En in the grand hall.
Anyway, it was just worship to a deceased Spirit, and it was still their former Heavenly Father.
As long as they safely elude the pursuers, and are liberated from the Holy Cabinet, the accumulated Power of Faith on it will transform into their nourishment.
After finalizing the relatively crucial Holy Covenant, the designs and requirements for the Holy Cabinet were quickly drafted during discussions among the gods:
1. Use acacia wood to make a cabinet, two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.
2. Overlay it inside and outside with Orichalcum, decorate all around with a gold tooth edge, inscribe the isolated magician in Hebrew.
3. Cast four gold rings and set them on the four feet of the cabinet, two rings on this side, two rings on that side.
4. Make two poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold…
After listing numerous requirements, the pleased gods put away their arrogance and disdain, looking softly at Luo En in the grand hall:
“Those folks in the sky keep a close watch, so we won’t easily appear directly. The matter concerning the Holy Cabinet and establishing covenants with mortals is entrusted entirely to you, complete it within seven days, we will have elders of all tribes fully cooperate with you.”
Luo En respectfully nodded and walked out of the temple in the mountain belly.
The gods watched as the figure disappeared into the darkness, revealing expressions of contentment and anticipation.
This young Moses is quite promising, not only understanding the thoughts of those in power but also able to offer effective strategies, making him suitable for cultivation as a spokesperson for the gods.
Seven days later, the Holy Cabinet was completed.
Tens of thousands of Canaanites gathered at the entrance of the temple in the mountain belly under the cover of night, set up a sacrificial platform, and placed the Holy Cabinet upon it.
Under the gaze of all, streams of Divinity flowed into the Holy Cabinet, dwelling within the Holy Covenant.
The Ten Commandments, condensed from the gods’ will, appeared mid-air, imprinting in everyone’s eyes.
Ultimately, we are still the chosen people favored by the gods.
Witnessing this Miracle, the crowd showed expressions of joy, knelt on one knee, crossed their hands over their chest, and devoutly offered the prayer taught by Prophet Moses:
“Our Father in Heaven
May everyone respect your name as holy.
May your kingdom come.
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
