So it seems that Lu Yifeng's assistant released an official statement that she was married with Lu Yifeng for four years now. She sneered as she looked at the words '4 years'.
Xia Meiren didn't thought of it that much and decided that after this day, she needs to prepare for her first concert in the country. This was actually one of the reasons why she returned. After that, she was planning to build her own studio.
"We're here." Lu Yifeng said as he closed his laptop and placed it aside.
Although Little Melon has fallen fast asleep when he looked at the boy.
"...." Lu Yifeng and Xia Meiren looked at each other.
"Should I wake him up?" Lu Yifeng asked with a soft and low voice, making sure it was soft enough not to wake Little Melon.
Xia Meiren looked at her wrist watch and saw it was just two in the afternoon, this was actually Little Melon's nap time.
"Let him sleep for a bit more." She whispered softly. "It's still early anyway and the sun is still high."
Lu Yifeng nodded, he gently changed Little Melon's position to make him have a comfortable sleeping position.
The car was in the parking lot and it was so quiet inside. It was until Lu Yifeng spoke up in a gentle whispering tone. "Thank you for giving birth to Xiao Gua..."
Xia Meiren didn't expect him to say anything that's why she turned her head to him in surprise.
Lu Yifeng's eyes were filled with gentleness, his eyes were shining. He look so warm, and yet, so sexy. It was different from the cold and sharp gaze he would give others. This made Xia Meiren's heart skip a beat.
"What happened back then... I know that any excuse won't be enough for you to forgive me. I have no excuse to say... I can only apologize for giving you a horrible experience..." He looked so sincere with the words he said to her. "I am sorry for what happened that night."
Xia Meiren's heart wavered a bit when she heard him apologize. She clenched her fists as she turned away from him. "A sorry cannot change what happened that night. If a simple sorry can fix everything then this world's prison cells will be empty."
Her voice was calm but sharp which was like a sword that stabbed his heart. That night was the greatest mistake he ever did. If he knew that he will end up falling for the girl in front of him, he would have treated her nicely, he might've even controlled himself. Will things turn out well for them if things went different that night?
"Just because I married you doesn't mean I have forgiven you. Have you forgotten? You used my family to force me to marry you. I allowed you to be a father to my son but I will never be a wife to you. I'm only here because of my son and my family."
She felt her chest tightening as she spat those cold words to him. Xia Meiren was not willing to give in so easily even when his apology made her heart shake a bit. She stayed firm with her plan, she will bring him down herself.
The car became quiet again. Lu Yifeng knows that whatever words he will say, it won't change Xia Meiren's mind that's why he can only show his sincerity by his actions.
After an hour and a half, Little Melon woke up, he was rubbing his eyes as he sat up. "Momma... are we there yet?"
Xia Meiren looked at her son and wiped his drool away. "Yes, we're here."
The sleepiness Little Melon felt instantly disappeared. "Lets go! Lets go!" He exclaimed excitedly.
Lu Yifeng opened the door and went out of the car. Little Melon and Xia Meiren followed.
The three went and started going to whatever rides Little Melon pointed. The people around them noticed the family of three and because of the current headlines about Lu Yifeng and Xia Meiren, the people around them was able to recognize them quickly, some even started taking some stolen photos of them.
The three looked like they were one happy family especially when they joined Little Melon in the kiddie rides. They never thought that there will be a day where they can see the gentleness in Lu Yifeng's face. Xia Meiren was happily smiling as she watched Little Melon while Lu Yifeng was staring at him with this gaze.
The three even tried out some shooting booths where Lu Yifeng showed his shooting skills to both Little Melon and Xia Meiren. He ended up winning the large black cat plushie which was bigger than the size of Little Melon.
Lu Yifeng ended up carrying the plushie as he followed the mother and son duo to the Carousel.
After the ride, Xia Meiren noticed the gazes of the people around them which made her worried, "It's a mistake to go out without a disguise..."
"If we did, Xiao Gua wouldn't have enjoyed it. Don't worry, they won't disturb us." Lu Yifeng was sure of it since no one would dare to approach him.
"Momma, Dada, can we try that?" Little Melon pointed to a haunted house.
"I don't think that's good for you, Xiao Gua. That place is filled with scary ghosts." Xia Meiren said worriedly.
"Mello is not afraid!" Little Melon said as he puffed out his chest. "Dada is here and Momma too!"
Xia Meiren wasn't worried of that, she was actually the one who's scared of entering such a dark place.
