“Understood, Mom,” Liuli replied. “But I’m feeling a little nervous.”

The thought of having to share a bed with Mr. Tang tonight, coupled with the earlier incident in the bathroom, made her blush once again.

Yu Zhiyuan nodded and formally handed his daughter over to Tang Moxi. Only a father who had given his daughter away in marriage could understand the ache in his heart.
Liuli stood before Tang Moxi, looking as though she were facing her own execution.
Even through the veil, Tang Moxi could sense Liuli’s awkwardness.
As he lifted the veil before her, he whispered softly, “Smile, or people will think I forced you into this.”
Initially feeling a tinge of sadness, Liuli couldn’t help but burst into laughter at Mr. Tang’s words.
With that, Tang Moxi fully lifted Liuli’s veil, revealing her beautiful and radiant face.
Tang Moxi embraced Liuli and leaned down to kiss her.
Liuli’s face flushed, and her mind went blank.
Though it wasn’t their first encounter, it was the first time they were publicly displaying their affection.

In that moment, Liuli felt a wave of confusion.
This was a sacred vow in love. If she said yes, she would be committing to a lifetime with Mr. Tang, growing old together.
Was she truly willing?
All eyes were on Liuli, including Tang Moxi’s.
He gazed at her quietly, his eyes filled with tenderness. There was no pressure or impatience; he simply waited patiently for her answer.
“I do!” Liuli finally replied.
She had no other choice, and retreat was not an option.
She couldn’t bear to disappoint Grandpa Tang, Grandma, or her departed Grandpa.
