Kimberly followed behind Landon with different kinds of thoughts rushing through her mind. "What if he tries to have sex with me in the room? Is this how he treats his maids? No wonder he had no one before me." She concluded. Landon knew Kimberly was awkwardly silent, so he left her to whatever must be going through her mind. He opened the door to his room and walked in, leaving the door open so Kimberly could walk in. Kimberly prayed silently, standing at the door and looking at Landon suspiciously.
"Is that where you would do the cleaning?" Landon asked, glaring at her from inside the room, and her eyes widened. "Oh, it's about cleaning." She said walking into the room in haste, perhaps her mind must have wandered a little far. "So what am I to clean?" She asked, and Landon walked up to the door and locked it, making Kim look at him in confusion.
"You don't have to lock the door. It's just cleaning, right?" She muttered fearfully. "This is my house. I do whatever I want to do. Okay?" He asked as he began to approach her. "Wait... What are you..." Kim asked, moving back as he came closer. They kept taking their steps slowly until Kim's leg hit the bedside.
She swallowed hard, staring into his very glittering eyes and handsome face. She swallowed hard as he brought his head closer to hers. His Cologne filled her nose but she didn't let that get to her, arcing her brows like she wasn't affected by his overwhelming characteristics. She was about to talk when Landon shunned her by placing his finger on her lips and this drove Kimberly insane.
"What is he trying to do?" Her brain asked as she stared at his pink curvy lips. "I don't accept my maids acting this way." Landon declared all of a sudden. "What?" Kimberly asked all of a sudden. Landon smirked and left her, walking away from her. "Never you think I would have anything to do with you! You are a maid, okay? When I act like that I expect you to stand and not move like you want to kiss me too." Kimberly became very angry again.
"So you think I want to kiss you? C'mon, don't flatter yourself." She uttered, standing upright and Landon looked at her. "So why did you act that way? I hate when my maids see me as more than just a boss." He said boastfully. "I acted that way because I know you have a soft spot for me. I mean, why would you even come this close to a maid if they do disgust you?" She asked, and Landon kept mute not knowing what to say. "The cleaning is overall. You should know what to do. It's written in the pamphlet." He told, and she smiled faintly.
"I read it already." She responded, walking to the door. "Where are you going? I didn't ask you to leave." Landon said, and Kim rolled her eyes looking at him. "I need tools for the cleaning. Or do you have them here?" She asked. "I didn't ask you to leave. You don't walk out on me. Next time, you Inform me before moving an inch, okay?" He asked coldly and Kim bit her lower lip, bending her head. "I fucked up real bad." She thought and Landon spoke up again.
"Okay?" He asked again. "Got it. Can I leave now?" She asked, trying to keep her cool. "You have a minute to get back here." He said and she scoffed. "Screw you!" She yelled inside of her as she walked out of the door. Immediately she was out, Landon smiled and walked up to his closet. He opened his briefcase and pulled a certain amount of money. He counted it and he dropped it on the bedside drawer carelessly. He made it seem like he didn't count it.
It was exactly USD 1000, they were in USD 50. So he had 200 notes of USD 50 on his bedside table. After eavesdropping on the conversation Kimberly had on the phone, he wanted to know her more. He wanted to know if she would take some of the money or not since she desperately needs it. After doing that he rushed back to the single-seater couch in his room and sat down pretending to be busy on his phone.
The door opened and Kimberly walked in again. She walked In with the vacuum cleaner, mop stick, and bucket.
This time her hair was tied up in a rough ponytail. This was Landon's weakness, he loves ladies with rough ponytails. It's like an obsession.
" Why did you have to pack your hair like that?” He asked appreciating how hot she looked inside of him. " Is it part of the rules not to pack our hair in a ponytail? " She responded as she switched on the vacuum cleaner. Landon kept silent because he knew he asked a stupid question in the first place. "She is about to work, she has to pack her hair." He said to himself, sighing.
"I need a perfect cleaning." He said standing up from the couch he sat on. He walked out of the room and headed to the living room. He was so eager to know what Kim would do after seeing that money. Kimberly kept cleaning the floor making sure no dirt escaped the machine. She moved it to the bedside, pushing it under the bed. She moved it out and then to the bedside drawer, and she saw the money.
"Gosh! Why would he be so reckless to leave his money scattered all over? What if some notes fell and the vacuum cleaner swallowed it?" She muttered. She stopped the machine, packed the notes neatly, and folded it, dropping them inside the drawer. She went on with her cleaning and after some minutes she was done cleaning the entire room. She walked to the bathroom and started taking care of it too.
Landon heard the Vacuum machine stop for a long time, so he guessed she must be done cleaning.
It was time. He walked back to his room and the first place he looked at was the drawer. When he couldn't find the money there he couldn't believe it. "So she is a thief." He felt disappointed.
"Kimberly." He called, and Kim walked out of the bathroom looking at him.
"I left some money here but I can't find it anymore." He said, trying not to get so mad at her. One side of him trusted her. "Yes, you did! You left it lying carelessly on the drawer. What if some notes fell and before I could notice the machine had swallowed it." She asserted walking to the drawer while Landon stared at her. "I had to pack them and fold them neatly in the drawer, so it won't be misplaced." She said picking it and stretching it to Landon who received it unbelievably
"That's why you need a wife or rather, a girlfriend," Kim said before walking back into the bathroom. Landon felt so guilty of himself for being so fast at concluding. "I knew I could trust her." He thought smiling.
