Three months later...
Nicole watched as the reporters made a report that was concerning her.
"The wedding ceremony of two most talked about couples in the past few months is happening today and we are all living for it, the couple who are expecting their first child soon decided to tie the knot before their baby is born, and the whole country is looking forward to today,"
The reporter said, Nicole laughed touching her tummy which has gotten bigger over the last three months, she was currently in her sixth month of pregnancy and everything has been blissful for the past three months, her life has been perfect in every way, she had family and friends and most especially Rafael with her and nothing could beat that.
"You know you are going to be late if you just sit there watching TV and smiling to yourself,"
Natalie announced as she walked into her room, she was ready and looked so pretty in her simple yet so beautiful bridesmaid dress, both she and Grace were her bridesmaid.
"I can't believe the bride is still not ready,"
Grace said as she walked in to, she had a similar style to Natalie, Grace had cried so hard when she had found out what happened only after everything was settled, she had been much too busy that she had turned her phone off to concentrate on studies and passing her semester exams and she only heard about what happened three weeks after, she had beaten herself up for not checking up on them and promised that it won't happen again, of course, Natalie didn't let her see the end of it.
"Be nice to me,"
Nicole said with a pout.
"We are nice, now get dressed, your husband won't be pleased if you are late,"
Grace scolded.
"Where is Aron?"
Nicole asked looking around for Aron, Natalie frowned at the mention of his name, Nicole hasn't seen him around for almost a week now, that was odd because they were always together and he was a regular guest at the mansion, her parents liked him a lot and calls him their second son, of course, Rafael was the first son, the way she had opened her mouth in shock when Rafael had addressed her parents as mom and dad and they had called him son, well that moment would forever be a favorable memory for her.
"He is in New York,"
Grace disclosed.
"What? New York? And I am just knowing? What happened Natalie?"
"Don't ask me, I didn't do anything,"
"I never said you did anything, where is your boyfriend? Isn't he going to be here for my wedding?"
"Correction, he is not my boyfriend, just a friend and we had an argument, he left for New York on Monday and is supposed to be back already, don't know what's keeping him,"
Natalie responded. Nicole really thought they were in a relationship, well maybe not yet, they seemed to really like each other and were always together, if they weren't in a relationship then the both of them were stupid because why won't they be?
“You guys looked like you had a thing though, I thought you did,”
She couldn’t help adding.
“We don’t, you saw wrong, plus, today is your day, we shouldn’t be talking about me,”
Natalie said but Nicole couldn’t get over the fact that she seemed sad talking about Aron, there was something certainly going on with those two, she was sure of it, she just hoped they work it out, they look really good together.
"Let's get you married first then we can talk about your twin, okay?"
Grace said, pulling her up to her feet and helping her fix her dress.
“I am ready, ready as I would ever be,”
She said smiling at Grace who smiled back, she was the most happy about her and Rafael getting back together.
“Yes you are ready my beautiful bride and mom to be, I am so happy for you, I knew this would happen, i am so glad to be able to witness it,”
Grace said hugging her, Natalie joined in the hug and Nicole felt whole.
“Thanks guys, for being with me,”
“You are welcome, now let’s get you married.”
Both Grace and Natalie chorused.
"Sure,"
She responded smiling, she looked at her reflection in the mirror, she smiled everything was perfect, her life was perfect, and she was happy, her wish for the new year came through and it wasn't even near the end of the year yet, Twenty-seven just keeping giving her more and more reasons to note that it was her best year yet, she let her sisters fuss over her as they got her ready for her second marriage, she felt old knowing she was getting married for the second time already but thankfully it was to the same man, the man of her dream, they may not have started like most other couples and may have made so much mistake together but the fact that they can be together again and be happy was a blessing, she didn't want to erase any part of their history because it brought them here today, a year ago, she had been unsure walking down the aisle towards a man she knew nothing about and whom she was scared of and now that man is her whole world and she was his too, he made sure to tell her that everyday, they haven't been apart since they got back together not even for a day and she didn't want them to ever be the more time she spent with Rafael, the more she understood why her parents were always together, it was because one can't do without the other, that's exactly how it was with Rafael and today, she was finally going to be a Mrs. Salvador again, this time as Nicole Salvador and she was ready for it, her happily ever after already began and she knew it will only get better..
