Madiana tried her best to stay awake but she failed miserably.
Lawrence had called her early this morning to inform her that he would be returning today but it would be later at night.
So she had spent her day with Luis. She took him to the mall and when it was noon, they went to the park together.
It was just a few minutes to 10 pm and she had slept off.

Lawrence could not wait to see Luis and Maddie. He had missed them like crazy. He did all he could to rush the deal so he would be back home tonight instead of tomorrow, Monday.
He took a taxi from the airport. It was already late and he didn't want to disturb Dominic, his driver.
He paid the Taxi man and proceeded to the apartment with his suitcase. He had his spare key so he didn't bother to press the doorbell. He entered inside and his heart melted at what he saw.
Madiana had fallen asleep on the sofa in the living room. The TV was still on.
He smiled as he approached her and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Lawrence, " She whispered, half awake.
"Yes, my love. I'm back," he replied as he lifted her in a bridal style and headed to the bedroom.
"Are you hungry? I can warm up something for you." She offered in her sleepy voice.
"Don't worry about that, sweetheart. I'm okay," he said as he opened his bedroom door, walked in and gently placed her on the bed.
"Let me go check up on Luis. I will be right back." He gave her a quick kiss before he left the bedroom.
Lawrence entered Luis's room and smiled at his sleeping son. He couldn't help but notice how fast his Son was growing. Ava must be so proud of their little boy.
After spending minutes admiring his little miracle, He kissed his forehead then walked out of his room, shutting the door quietly behind him.
He entered his room and saw that Madiana had fallen asleep. Then he went to take a shower before putting on his nightclothes and slid under the duvet.
He pulled Madiana closer to him and she snuggled against him. Her face in the crook of his neck and her leg tangled with his.
"I miss you." She whispered immediately she inhaled his cologne.
He smiled. "I miss you too, babe."
"I have something to tell you. I hope you don't get mad at me." She said in a very sleepy voice.
"I can never be mad at you, my love. We will discuss everything tomorrow. Sleep tight." He said as he kissed her forehead.

Lawrence opened his eyes when he heard a strange noise. He looked at his side and Maddie was not there. His eyes went straight to the bathroom and he saw the door was opened. He rushed there and saw Madiana kneeling on the floor with her face in the toilet bowl, puking her guts out.
He panicked and ran towards her. He had never seen anyone in this situation so he had no idea what to do. He eventually started patting her back and whispering soothing words to her.
When she was done he flushed the toilet, helped her up and assisted her in washing her face. Then he handed her a brush to wash her teeth after which she gurgled with a mouth wash.
When she was done, he led her into the bedroom and she sat down on the bed.
Lawrence dropped down on his knees.
"Should I call the doctor?" He asked.
Madiana shook her head.
"Is there anything you want to tell me?" He asked as he saw that she was battling with herself.
She looked down at her hands, "I'm pregnant."
There was like a one minute silence after which tears welled up in Maddie's eyes. She knew she blew it up.
"I'm so sorry, Lawrence. I never meant for this to happen. I should have been more careful. I know you are not ready for this and it's okay if you don't want me and the baby" She said in tears.
"Heyyyyy. I'm not mad at you," He said and for the first time since he knelt in her front, She raised her head and looked at him. She saw a sad smile on his face.
Lawrence took a seat beside her and made her face him.
"Why do you think I would be mad at you?" He asked as he used his thumb to wipe away her tears.
"Because you are not ready for this and to be honest, neither am I. Besides, Luis is not even one yet and you are already expecting another." She said,
"Maddie, all my life I had always wanted a happy family. I dream about it every time. I picture myself searching for the love of my life, finding her, taking her on different dates, proposing, getting married, enjoying the married life then after like two years, we would start trying for a baby."
"I planned on being with whoever happens to be my wife at every step of the way. You know, like going to every doctor's appointment, shopping for the baby, feeling the baby kick, most importantly, being at her side during the time of delivery."
"That's why I was hurt when I heard and knew Luis was mine. I never got to experience all that I dreamt of."
"Trust me, Madiana, We all dream dreams but there is nothing like a perfect moment. I never expected this news but I'm happy. You don't need to blame yourself for anything. It takes two to make a baby and we are in this together."
"I know Luis is just eight months old but you don't have to worry about that. We will make it work. I don't mind hiring a live-in nanny to help us out and I'm sure my mom will be happy to help out too. I will also cut down my workload in the office and try to work from home so that I can help with our children. I'm sure my Dad and Ethan would understand."
Lawrence said and Madiana could not help as the tears flowed. 'What did she do to deserve a good man like Lawrence?'
"Thank you." She said in tears and Lawrence smiled as he pulled her into a hug.
"So when did you find out?" He asked after she pulled away from the hug.
"Yesterday. I took a test."
"I will get in touch with the family doctor and make an appointment for you this week," he said as she nodded.
Suddenly, she saw Lawrence with a big smile on his face and wondered what he was thinking.
"That means you can't say no. You're tied with me forever." He smiled and she looked at him, clearly confused.
He rose to his feet, went to his closet and came back with a square shaped box.
Maddie's eyes almost popped out of its socket. She watched in shock as he helped her to her feet, then he got down on one knee.
"I've been thinking about this for a while now. And when I got to Paris, I went into a jewellery store thinking of what to buy for you. I saw this ring and I fell in love with it. I guess the Holy Spirit led me into buying it."
"I want nothing more than to wake up beside you every morning for the rest of my life. I want you to be the mother of our children. I want us to go on tour and family vacations with our children and most importantly, I want our union to be blessed in front of God Almighty. I love you with all my heart, Madiana Meghan Owen and I want you to make me the happiest man on earth by being my wife. Will you marry me?"
"Yessss." She smiled.
He slipped the ring into her finger, stood to his feet and sealed their engagement with a very passionate kiss.
"So it's official my love, you are moving in with me." He said.
She grinned "I have no choice."
"Shouldn't we be getting ready for work. It's Monday. I'm sure Luis will soon be awake."
"I'm the Boss. We have the day off. We are going out to celebrate our engagement and also for some family bonding. You, Luis and I. Again, I will be able to introduce Luis to his new mom." he said and she smiled in return.
"I would love to introduce you to Ava also." He said to her with a sad smile.
"We could go visit her sometime." She offered and he nodded to her suggestion.
"So what do you say if we have some fun before Luis wakes up. I've missed you." He said as he attacked her lips.
