" You love him, don't you? " Diana asked out of the blue and made Carla so startled that she stuttered.

Diana smiled, suddenly looked wiser than her years " No sweetheart it's not natural, have you heard about contract marriage? "
Carla clenched her hands tightly in fists and she grabbed the hem of her dress under the table. Did she know about the contract? Definitely not, there was no way she could have known about it all this while.
" Uh... Yeah, I've heard about it " She managed to reply casually.
Diana nodded " So would you say it was only natural that they fall in love with each other from the beginning? I'll answer that and it's a no. It was the same thing for my husband and I at first, " She paused and took a sip from her drink.
Carla's eyes widened " You and Donald?! " Then she frowned, looking confused " But you love each other! It's so obvious that you're into each other, pardon my language here "
Diana nodded " I'm not done yet, Lady Blake " and she laughed.
" Sorry, kindly carry on please " Carla muttered apologetically.
" Donald and I signed a contract agreement too but where is it now? Long forgotten, love prevails over everything else darling " She shook her head, a faraway look in her eyes.
" So, you... um... I mean, your marriage wasn't real from the beginning? " Carla asked and licked her dry lips.
Diana nodded " Yeah, it wasn't real in the beginning but as time went by, we discovered it didn't even matter at all "
" Really? " Carla said softly as she didn't mean it to be a question.
Diana shrugged " I don't know if you really love him but mark my words honey, you'll come to love him with time "
Carla nodded, not able to get herself to talk. Did she love him already? No, she wouldn't think about that now, she had her future to think about after the marriage is over, she told herself firmly.
" Now, let's go have fun! " Diana screamed, changing the subject as she pulled Carla up. The old lady had so much energy in her that even Carla couldn't believe it.

" Oh God! " Carla mumbled tiredly and pulled off her shoes. Going out with Diana had practically drained all her energy. The house was quiet which meant Liam was not back from work. What took him so long anyway? Well, she had other things to worry about, which included getting herself out of the horrible dress and having a long shower. And she did just that. Soaking herself in a hot bath really helped because she felt much better after that.
She picked out a short, sexy nightgown and helped herself to sandwich as she was too tired to cook, plus she wasn't really hungry. Diana had succeeded in feeding her to the brim, saying she would need all the energy she could get if she turned out to be carrying a child. Carla had laughed at that. She went to the living room and got herself busy with a Netflix movie while she waited for Liam. She got tired of waiting and slept off, her lips slightly parted.
Liam got home at half past ten, looking tired. He saw Carla immediately curled up on the couch, fast asleep and assumed she slept off while waiting for him. He felt his heart tug at her action. Slowly, he went over to her and watched her chest rise and fall in steady rhythm. He looked at the TV which was on and saw that she had been watching a movie on Netflix just before she slept off. She snored softly and he smiled at the sound. She looked so cute and adorable lying there, oblivious to what was happening around her.
Slowly, he blew the hair away from her face and watched her eyes fluttered open like she knew she was being watched.
" Hey " She said hoarsely and stood up, while rubbing her eyes.
His eyes automatically went to her breasts and he gulped. Now he could see what she wore and his dick twitched. Damn, why should she wear the lacy, flimsy thing? All the tiredness he was feeling on the way home fled immediately and it was replaced with a different energy and longing, the one she felt only his wife could fulfill that. " Hey " He replied and smiled at her gently before scooping her up into his arms. She didn't even struggle with him, convincing him she needed to sleep badly. He switched off the TV and started walking to their bedroom.
" Did you stay up waiting for me? " He asked, trying to keep her awake but failed terribly.
" Hmm " She hummed in reply, resting against his chest comfortably.
" Really? " He teased but she didn't make a sound this time.
" So what did you do while you were waiting for me? " He probed.
" Ate and watched a movie " She mumbled in reply, blinking her eyes.
" Good " He nodded and continued " And how was your day? How was the date with my mother? "
" Cool, it was cool " She answered and snaked her hands around him for more warmth.
