He nodded " Yes ma'am, he asked where you came to and... "
Carla interrupted him " Carla, just address me by my name, Ma'am make me feel like an old lady "
She saw his mouth twitched in a small smile but he was quick to hide behind his calm, stern composure.
" Okay ma'am " Came the automatic reply before he could stop himself.
Carla sighed, realizing it would be hard for him because he was used to the formal address.
" It's fine, so you were saying something? " She asked, knowing very well what it was.
He nodded stiffly " Yes, he asked me your whereabouts and I... told him " He said the last two words quietly, he looked kinda guilty.
Carla smiled in a reassuring way " It's fine Ben, you did well so you can leave the rest to me, I'll handle it "
Ben heaved a sigh of relief " Okay ma'am, thank you "
The ride back to the mansion was quite was silent after the short conversation and they got home pretty soon, too soon to Carla's discomfort. Ben opened the car door and stepped aside with a small bow. Carla sent him a grateful smile and took a deep breath before heading in. The main living room was dark so she assumed Liam went to bed already, or so she hoped. They had finally reached a sort of agreement so they still slept in the same room even though there was a tension between them. She switched on the lights and immediately sighted him on a couch, his legs drawn up leisurely. He stared deeply into her eyes longer than she liked and it made her so uncomfortable that she shifted uneasily on her feet. He broke the eye contact and looked her over, searching for something she didn't even know.
" Hi " She spoke up when she could take it no more. His gaze on her was too disturbing.
" Hi " He replied and and returned to his newfound interest of scrutinizing her. Carla decided to go take a shower but his voice stopped her before she could take a step.
" Where have you been all day? " He asked quietly.
She crossed her arms under her bossom " I thought Ben gave you all the information in details "
" And I want to hear from you, where have you been? " He asked again, sitting up as he regarded her.
Carla sighed, deciding it was useless arguing with him over trivial matter " Well, just like I know Ben must have told you, I went to visit my friend "
" And you didn't think of informing me if you take long at her place? " He asked
" Well, it didn't matter because I can take care of myself " She said with a shrug and went upstairs to their bedroom.
Of course he followed her immediately, what had she expected? Liam Blake never back down without a fight. She ignored his presence behind her and started pulling off her dress. She had learned to be comfortable around him, when she was naked of course. In the past few weeks, she hadn't missed his hungry look followed her body everywhere but he knew he didn't dare touch her without her consent which made him sour and itchy because he wanted her but couldn't do a damn thing about it.
" This is absurd Carla, I'm your husband! Aren't I supposed to know your whereabouts? " He asked in frustration.
Carla leveled her gaze on him " Relax Liam, it doesn't matter "
" It does! " He shouted and crossed over to her in long strides, holding her shoulders in a tight grip.
" Stop, you're hurting me! " She yelled back, trying to free herself from his tight grip.
His eyes softened " I can and never will, you're the one hurting me Carla, what should I do with you? " He whispered and brought his face close to hers, their foreheads touching.
" Toss me out, I guess " She replied in a whisper too.
" Not on the list, another suggestion? " He caressed her face as he spoke.
" Hmmm... " She moaned softly. His hands had started to roam her body in light, circular motions.
" I missed you " He whispered, bringing his lips back to hers.
" I missed you too " She murmured against his lips and wrapped her arms around his neck.
" What are you doing to me, Bella? " He inhaled her scent deeply.
" Driving you out of sanity maybe " She whispered sexily, rubbing her fingers over his abs.
" You have definitely succeeded in doing that " He smirked and Carla knew what hit her, he had slipped a finger into her, earning another moan, a loud one this time. He pulled out of her and went in again, this time with two fingers.
Carla didn't know how she got to the bed, all she knew was, one minute she was on her feet with Liam granting her the pleasures she could have and the next, she was lying on her back, Liam towering above her.
Without bothering to remove his clothes, he just undid belt of his trousers and plunged into her like a beast. All his restraint over the few weeks had finally come to an end, he thought happily as he satisfied his wife and thus satisfying his own hunger for sex too. He finally collapsed beside her, breathing heavily. There was a satisfied smile on his lips and a new glow in his eyes. The same went with Carla too as she fell against his chest.
" Are you okay? " He asked, looking over to her.
" Yeah, I'm good " She replied and both of them bursted into laughter. Then they stayed in comfortable silence until Carla spoke up.
" Are you hungry? " She asked innocently, not aware the words could mean another thing entirely.
He stared at her with an unreadable expression " Yeah, I'm damn hungry... "
She started to get up " Then let's go have dinner "
He stopped her " I'm hungry for you so I might just have you for dinner tonight " And he pulled her in for another deep kiss. They spent the night making love until she fell asleep with him still inside her.
