Under complete tension, I held my breath and looked horrified into the deep blue of Pasqua's eyes, only to pull myself together as quickly as possible...
"You're crazy," I laughed slightly hysterically, pretending to be ignorant, but his expression immediately became so serious and insistent that I held my breath again. I didn't really know what else to say at that moment, because no one was allowed to find out about our existence, so it was even worse that he apparently already knew it...
Unfortunately, I didn't even get to reply to his statement, because Jamal suddenly took a quick step behind him, then immediately hit the back of his head with a frying pan and I could only watch in horror as Pasqua fell unconscious in front fell on the dark wood of the porch.
"Are you completely insane now?!" I snapped at Jamal, who just looked at me with a grin and swung the pan back and forth in his hand.
"Not wrong, but warmed up," he retorted with a dirty grin, and after glancing at Keno, who seemed perfectly at ease with the situation, I started to bend down for Pasqua, but was stopped by my alpha.
Without warning, he came towards me and grabbed my waist from behind to pull me back into the house with a jerk. Meanwhile, Jamal grabbed Pasqua inside by his jacket and dropped him again like a sack of potatoes onto the carpet.
"You two are both completely deranged, apparently!" I yelled in anger and horror, wanting to free myself from Keno's tight grip, but he didn't release me, merely turning to his Beta for a moment, ignoring my desperate struggles altogether .
"Will you excuse us for a second?"
"Of course," Jamal smiled slyly and then sat down in the green armchair next to the carpet to rest his feet on Pasqua's back as if it was made just for it.

Unfortunately, my insult to the Beta was nipped in the bud as Keno clamped one of his hands over my mouth while leading me on my back down the hallway into the bedroom where he finally released me and closed the door behind us.
"Keno!" I growled menacingly, fixing his gaze and pointing towards the wall that bordered the living room while my entire body shook. "What was that?! He's a friend of mine and you can't just let Jamal almost kill him!"
"A friend then?" asked Keno, who suddenly stared at me blankly and I was amazed once again that his stupid jealousy seemed to outweigh any other emotion in his mind. "A friend who makes your cheeks turn red if he looks at you for too long?" he continued his accusations, slowly walking closer and closer to me, so that I took cautious steps backwards like a cornered deer .
"A friend who will get you aroused?" he provoked further and when I suddenly felt the wall behind me and he was barely a meter away from me, I recognized the dark wolf in his eyes very well and just saw an opportunity to exorcise him now as quickly as possible.
Once again I reached out and wanted to smack him, my heart racing, but when he grabbed my hand in a flash, then immediately pressed himself against my body and started licking my mark with his tongue demandingly, I didn't stand a chance. ..

I pulled my knee up with full force and rammed it into his crotch, after which he immediately let go of me and contorted in pain, which I was not at all sorry for at that moment.
"Now can you pull yourself together please?!" I demanded out loud and he sat down on the edge of the bed with his hands in his crotch to nod in agreement.
"My wolf, Aria. It wasn't my intention," he said, still groaning in pain, and I put my hands on my hips, rolling my eyes in annoyance. His wolf really wasn't easy to handle, but I felt stronger than ever here at home, so at least I tried to control him here.
"Your wolf isn't quite tight! Just like Jamal! You can't just knock people out for no reason!"
"For no reason?" he repeated with a questioning expression, looking up at me. "Little one, that wimp, whoever he is, knows about us! We can't let him go with the knowledge!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked him with a frown, knowing full well that knowing about us was actually Pasqua's death sentence.
"You know that very well."
"No!" I blurted out immediately and I wanted to go straight past him to stop Jamal from doing something stupid when Keno grabbed my wrist and stood up to give me a sympathetic look.
"Can you promise me that he won't say anything? I mean, can you be sure that he would never betray you, no matter what?"
I looked thoughtfully into my companion's eyes, but I had to admit to myself that I couldn't promise and my hesitation, even Keno, was answer enough.
"We still won't kill him," I murmured, staring thoughtfully at the closed door until an idea struck me.
I looked up at Keno with a big grin, and the wider my smile got, the more confused my companion seemed.
"We will go in search of Gloria and take him with us!"
"No way!" Keno growled at me at the thought of it alone, but I didn't let my idea die that easily.
"Yes," I kept trying, raising a brow in triumph, but Keno just shook his head and pulled my wrist close to plant a soft, apologetic kiss on my cheek.
"Both of us, we're going to go find Gloria," he whispered against my skin, kissing happily down my neck, which reluctantly aroused me... Or rather, made my wolf moan. "And Pasqua will be driving back to the pack with Jamal."
I clawed at his shoulder, taken in by his caresses, trying not to get carried away, but my wolf became stronger and stronger inside me because of his wolf. The human was slowly disappearing and although I was afraid of losing myself completely, it felt so good to have a companion that I was more and more comfortable with it.
"Okay," I breathed, separating slightly from his strong, fragrant body to take a first look at him. "But you have to give me your word that nothing will happen to Pasqua," I added, making some space between us to offer him my pinky finger.
Confused, he glanced at my fist, which I stuck my finger out of, before raising a skeptical brow at me.
"What shoud that?"
"It's a little finger oath. You can't break it! So? Do you promise?"
I flashed a hopeful grin and held my finger out even further to watch him extend his pinky and interlace it with mine.
"I promise," he smiled and I immediately threw myself into his arms and sought his closeness at that moment, because now I only had one thought in my head.
"Keno?... Will you also promise me that we'll find Gloria?"...
