My phone rings just as Aiden and I step out of the clinic from having my blood drawn to see if I am pregnant or not from this first round of IVF. We prefer to go walking and wait on the phone call rather than sit in the office for a couple of hours. Neither one of us think it worked because I haven't had the first sign of pregnancy like the doctor described but I am okay with it we knew the first round had the lowest chances of working. It has been three weeks since the transfer and I am honestly looking forward to tonight because Aiden and I will finally get to have some sexy time.
Pulling my phone out I see it is Naida.
'Hello.' I answer, but immediately hit with little Joseph's cries.
'Kelsie! I hate to call and ask this but could you please come visit for a few minutes? I am in desperate need of a shower and Kelvin is having to clean. Joseph hasn't stopped crying for an hour now.'
'Of course! We can be there in about fifeteen minutes.'
I hang up and Aiden looks at me. "Where are we going to Cookie?"
"Naida and Kelvin's. Joseph is crying and Naida said she needs a shower. Although she sounds more like she also needs some sleep because when she said my name it almost sounded like she could cry."
Aiden helps me in the car and we take off.
Arriving at Naida and Kelvin's house, we walk up and knock on the door but I can hear Joseph already. Poor baby, has been going through colic for almost a week now. He is officially seven weeks old.
Kelvin opens the door and my poor older brother looks haggard.
"Come in Sis." Kelvin tries to smile.
I go right for Naida holding Joseph. She has baby spit up and milk all over her shirt underneath the burp cloth.
"Come here little one." I pick Joseph up and he whimpers while I rock him side to side while rubbing his tummy. Something I have read up on for colic babies since I have had free time. It helps him too while they have been at the house and us cooking for events. Naida has tried the tummy rubs but he normally wiggles for his mommy but it works for me most times.
In less than five minutes, Joseph is barely crying and his eyes start to droop.
Naida sits on the couch and puts her head in her hands, while her shoulders lightly bouncing up and down with soft sniffles. Kelvin joins her and rubs her back while kissing her head.
"Why don't you guys go shower, eat something, and get some sleep. You both are in need of it. I will clean this up here for you." Aiden whispers and squats down in front of Naida.
"I couldn't let you do that man." Kelvin shakes his head.
"Yes Bubs you can. Let Aiden clean and I will tend to Joseph. You both really need it." I lightly smile at my brother and Naida.
"Thank you so much Kelsie." Naida sniffles and gives me a side hug when she stands.
"You don't ever have to thank me. I am here to help, actually if his bag is packed we can take him for the rest of the day and you guys come over for dinner." I offer and Aiden nods too.
"I couldn't ask you to do that." Naida sniffles.
"You're not asking, I am offering. You both need to shower and sleep then I can feed you guys dinner when you come to get him this evening."
"Thank." I give Naida a gently but firm look which stops the words from coming out and she lightly laughs.
"I will get his carseat and travel bassinet put in your car. His diaper bag is ready just let me add his formula and bottles." Kelvin stands and Aiden goes to help him.
Naida kisses Joseph's head and walks to the back room.
Kelvin goes and joins Naida, while Aiden cleans the spit up on the floor and couch. Once it is done, we lock up and hide the key where Bubs always has it placed then get Joseph in the car and go home.
"I'm sorry I hadn't asked you if we can do this today. I know we were going to walk around and spend the day together."
"No reason to be sorry Cookie. I am actually glad you offered and they accepted it because they both looked like they could really use the sleep. We are still together today and tonight we can still have our time together." Aiden smiles.
I nod. It is true we will still get to have our sexy time and even if we somehow keep Joseph over night he should sleep some to where I can get the cock somehow even if it is just love making in our bedroom and not the dungeon.
By the time we get home Joseph is still sleeping. Aiden has me hold him while he gets the travel bassinet set up in our living room and I lay him in it gently, while Aiden goes to get his formula and diaper bag. Once Aiden is inside the house and watching Joseph, I go and pull out some meat to thaw for tonights dinner.
"Does steak pasta sound good?"
"That sounds very good Cookie." Aiden smiles and has Joseph in his arms.
Looks like I am not the only one that spoils him with being held while sleeping. It makes me smile seeing how Aiden doesn't hestiate to pick up Joseph. He never has and when he comes home after work while we are still in the kitchen cooking for catering he will pick Joseph up and tend to him without a second thought once Naida showed him how to hold and pick Joseph up.
Joseph is laid back in the bassinet and I heat up some leftovers for our lunch that we eat together in the living room with the tv on. Joseph wakes up to be fed and I hold him while Aiden goes to ready his bottle.
The doorbell echos around the house and it makes Joseph really cry with the sound. I walk over to the door and with one hand open it up to reveal Aiden's dad I had seen in passing once and then a woman that has Aiden's eyes.
His parents are here.
"Hello, we were told that Aiden was home today when we went to the company." The man smiles.
"He is in the kitchen. Why don't you come in. I am Kelsie." I smile.
The woman has her eyes on the baby now and then she starts bursting out in tears. "My son had a baby and didn't even tell us."
Uh oh.
Now I don't know what to do! I have a crying baby ready to be fed and Aiden's mom crying in our doorway thinking this infant is ours.
