"I-i'm Pregnant" Sadie uttered as my eyes widened, dumbfounded at the unexpected news. I turned to Edde and he also had that same look on his face.
I felt my heart break into a million pieces as I blinked back the tears that threatened to escape my eyes.
"I really should get going, Thanks for today Edde" I uttered in a painful smile which I guessed Edde noticed.
"Come on Elizabeth, it's not what you think… What do you mean you're pregnant Sadie?" Edde snapped at Sadie as he held my hand stopping me from leaving.
"Yes I am pregnant, pregnant for Ken and that's why I came to you" Sadie said as I could hear Edde's deep sigh of relief, my heart was also finally beating normally as I hissed. I was totally scared that I was losing Edde.
"What do you want, I ain't withdrawing my complaint against him just so you know. Ken must be sentenced to prison" Edde said as Sadie hissed frustratedly.
"That's exactly why I came, you really need to reconsider this. I can't be a mother yet, even if I should be I can't train a child and focus on my career… Please Edde let Ken go, I need him to decide what I should do especially as he has a wife" Sadie pleaded as Edde sighed.
"Go home Sadie, we will talk about this later. I have somewhere to be" Edde muttered plainly like all Sadie said was bee sound. I felt for her in some kinda way because that was exactly the decision I was fighting when I got pregnant. Her case is different because she has a lot of money and can take care of her child with or without Ken… Unlike me.
"Please consider me for the first time in your life!" Sadie said as Edde ignored her and led me out of the house.

Our drive to my Cafe was weirdly silent but I had a lot to ask Edde.
"You got something to say?" He asked as if he read my mind.
"Will you consider Sadie?" I asked worriedly as he twitched his lips sideways.
"Should I?" He raised his brows involuntarily as I hissed and shrugged.
"If you feel it's right, putting myself in her shoes I would say you should withdraw your complaint and release him… At least for the sake of the baby, Sadie might abort the baby if she feels like she's alone" I suggest as Edde pouted his lips with his eyes focused on the driveway.
"But he did you bad, he kidnapped you and hurt you" Edde pointed as I held back an eye roll.
"At least not as much as you hurt me, by the way he kidnapped me because of you… I have nothing serious against Ken, fuck it, just make your own decisions" I snapped with a sudden change of mood and turned to the window.
I could hear his loud sigh as he blew raspberries and continued driving.
"Turn to Queensway" I instructed as he glanced at me and back at the drive way.
"Is that where you live?" He asked as I scoffed.
"I told you already, you will never know my home" I snapped as his eyes darkened.
"Then who are you going to meet there?" He growled, making me flinch, why is he acting up already?
"Hey, calm down Edde. I'm not going to see anyone, I own a Cafe here" I sighed as he went mute. "Gosh! You scare me sometimes"
"I'm sorry" he uttered calmly as I ignored him, anticipating to get to my Cafe and probably see it opened, I would really be surprised if it was. "Are we good? I mean you saw that I and Sadie ain't toge…"
"Well, I bet you both recently got into a quarrel and you came running back to me. I refuse to be used again, how sure am I that Sadie's baby won't be confirmed to be yours?" I retorted irately as he hissed.
"Come on, Betta, I already told you. There was no me and Sadie, my relationship with her Sadie ended a long time ago and…"
"And then you both finally came back together and your bitchy girlfriend couldn't keep her legs closed and repeated exactly what made you both break up and then you decided to run back to the naive Elizabeth… Right? Come on bro, I'm not a fool!" I snapped as his eyes dropped sadly.
"Elizabeth you ain't even listening to me, at least allow…" I raised my hand up to shun him as I took my phone out of my purse to see my mom's caller ID popping out on the screen.
"I'm sorry I gotta take this, it's Mrs Courtney Albie" I said and swooped to the answer icon, I really hope he doesn't Yell my head off for cutting him off in such a mannerless manner.
"Hello Mom, I thought you lost my contact" I sneered sassily as she ignored my little joke.
"Where are you Elizabeth?" She asked plainly as I twitched my lips sideways, I didn't know if I should lie or tell her the truth.
My mom now hates Edde so much after hearing what he did to me, she could spit on him if she sees him now. Melanie never fully liked him or trusted him anyways so Edde was basically painted black to them.
I glanced at the focused Edde and sighed. "I'm with Ed-Edde" I stuttered with a tightened teeth as I waited for her to blast my ear.
"Edde who? Don't tell it's that bastard! Why will you go back to him after he treated you like shit! What's wrong with you Elizabeth!" My mom yelled as I ran my hand through my curls and hissed.
"Mrs Courtney it's a long story, you really won't understand. But I promise, I would never have nothing to do with him" I uttered as I could feel his eyes shooting daggers at me, I wasn't sure of what I said. My mouth said it but my heart was already falling for Edde's lies.
"Did he touch you? I mean… You know what I mean" she said as my brain flashed back to the incident of few hours ago, he fucking touched me. Everywhere and he penetrated me without protection, he equally released inside me! That almost slipped my mind.
"No mom" I lied plainly as she hummed.
"Well, that's not the reason I called Elizabeth. Uhm, I need some money for surgery. I'm having so many wrinkles and I really want to…" She blabbed as I cut her words short.
"Don't start with me mom!, You're fucking getting old and wrinkles are bound to happen, leave me be I don't have the kinda money you might need for surgery!" I snapped, I didn't mean to sound mean to her but my mom deserves it. There is no way I'm supporting her to get surgery again after she recently done a breast implant.
What a mom!
"Bye Mom!" I said and ended the call immediately. I noticed she wanted to pressurize me.
"Take this, do not forget" Edde said and dropped the pregnancy pills on my lap, I thought he forgot or maybe intentionally released in me.
I picked the pack and threw it into my purse.
"Stop here" I said as he slowly parked his car in a corner. "Thank you, you can leave now" I Muttered faking a smile and came down from the car.
"You have something to do with me Elizabeth!" Edde shouted and drove off.
What a dick!
I turned to my Cafe to see it opened with customers going in and out of it, I couldn't help but smile. Jae was really keeping it going!
"Hi Ma'am, welcome back!" I heard as I turned to see my delivery man driving in with the bike, I smiled at him and nodded.
"How are you doing?" I asked as he bowed his head a little.
"I'm doing great ma'am" he said as I nodded and headed in.
The Cafe was filled and it was quite unusual as it was afternoon. Is Jae handling my own Cafe better than me? If that's it then I'm jealous.
I walked to the counter to see Jae Bent over engrossed in whatever he was doing.
"Hi, please can I get a cup of caffe latte?" I said in the best voice I could fake.
"Oh yes" he said cheerfully as he raised his head. "Oh my God! Baby girl where have you been?" Jae squealed enthusiastically as he hurried over to me pulling me into a hug. "I have been restless since you left Elizabeth, I couldn't get you on the phone and I knew no one to call. I was damn scared Elizabeth" he muttered, squeezing me harder into a hug as I smiled at the generous hug.
"What happened to you?" He asked breathlessly as I smiled, I wasn't quite sure it was necessary to let him know, that would only raise questions that I might not like to answer.
"Nothing happened to me, I went to see my son and he couldn't let me go" I lied as a smile spread on his lips.
"Hmm… More like, his dad couldn't let you leave! I see the love bite" he uttered giving me a cocky wink, I was totally confused.
"Love bite?" I furrowed my brow as he nudged me gently.
"Hickey! It's so big and clear on the left side of your neck. I bet you both had a good time" he smiled as I curiously turned to the mirror on the wall above the hand drier, Jae was right. It was so bold that anyone could see it.
My delivery man must have seen it and possibly most of the customers, thinking of that made my cheeks burn in embarrassment.
I bet Edde did this on purpose! That bastard, he prolly did it so that any man he thought I was seeing would know that I'm taken.
I'm not taken…
