Elizabeth packed her books into her new bag which Edde bought for her, she just wanted to leave the class immediately as her course mates kept staring at her, this didn't happen only in the class but right from when she entered the school premises with Melanie, she has never gotten so much attention in her life and she just wished the ground would open and swallow her up at once.
Turning to Mel, Elizabeth groaned, physically pissed off as Melanie had been on her phone the whole time and not making any move of packing her things, Elizabeth ignored her and packed her books into her back wearing a long face.
"Guess you love the numerous eyes on me" Elizabeth said as she grabbed Melanie's bag with her heading towards the class exit "Meet me when you're done fucking your phone!" Elizabeth yelled, pissed off as she pushed the door open.
"Hey Elizabeth! Wait up!" Melanie called out running after Elizabeth who ignored her walking ahead with her head high with a long angry face, she could still see fingers stylishly pointing at her, People taking photos of her and people saying stuffs about her but she tried her best to accept it as it is bound to happen hence she is with Almighty Edde Loxley.
"Come on Etta, you can't be mad at me I am actually setting up something for you that you will definitely love" Mel said giving Elizabeth that knowing wink and a cocky smile that made Elizabeth wonder…
"Mel what have you done?" Elizabeth asked stopping in her lane and turning swiftly to Melanie who still had a smile on her face.
"Let's go get a drink while we talk about it," Mel said, pulling the disturbed Elizabeth along with her.

"Yes, two cups of apple flavored smoothie" Melanie ordered constantly stealing glances at Elizabeth with a wide smile on her cheeks, she couldn't wait to announce what excited her that much. "Thank you!" Mel said cheerfully as she handed some dollar notes to the middle aged lady and took the smoothies headed under the tree Elizabeth stood.
"I see the look you have been giving to me, Melanie you have done something crazy right?" Elizabeth asked curiously as she took her smoothie from Mel who was grinning from ear to ear.
"More like I did something amazing, well… I created an Instagram account for you knowing fully well that you won't do it" She said, biting her inner gum once Elizabeth gave her a hard glare and stood in front of her blocking her walk lane.
"Why would you do such a thing without my permission, Melanie!" Elizabeth yelled, obviously pissed off as Mel raised her brows.
"You mean thank you? You already have 110k followers within 24 hours Etta, You're a big deal now!" Mel said, raising her phone screen to Elizabeth's eye level.
Gasping Elizabeth grabbed the phone to be sure of the number of followers she has got indeed "how possible is this! That was fast!" Elizabeth muttered in shock as Mel snatched her phone from her.
"You should always thank me" Mel winked sipping from her smoothie "Yeah right, About Edde how is your stay with him going".
"Well, as you know, Living under the same roof with that dude is hell on Earth for me and staying in the same room with him makes it worse because all I want is to avoid him totally" Elizabeth replied sadly.
"You both share a room!?" Mel asked in Surprise as Elizabeth turned to her and nodded slowly "Let's take a seat and talk better" Mel suggested pointing at the cement made chair at the school love garden.
Sitting down Elizabeth sighted a group of girls stylishly taking pictures of her making her lower her head feeling uncomfortable.
"Edde has lots of rooms in that Mansion of his and I still wonder why he insisted I stay with him. He doesn't love me, we don't even talk! Worst still he makes me look like a dummy around him. I am literally his asset Melanie!" Elizabeth said in a cracked voice almost letting her tears down as she held them back knowing eyes were on her. Her heart was heavy and needed to be freed by crying her ass out, Melanie understanding Elizabeth's mode pulled her into a side hug caressing her shoulders.
"Etta, I have always told you this, Boss up! You're the lady here and women ain't supposed to be treated like a piece of trash around guys!… You shouldn't let that dumb playboy Edde to reduce your ego, get him on his knees and let him respect you instead!… If you don't listen to my words Elizabeth then I will take it that you find his touture satisfying" Melanie said as Elizabeth nodded slowly.
"I will try to be bold towards him," Elizabeth replied, obviously unsure of her ability to stand and talk back to Edde Loxley.
"And that's the Spirit babygirl!" Melanie said, pecking her cheek countless times.
Elizabeth has always wished to be like Melanie, Melanie is everything in one woman! She is bold, strong and beautiful, every man she comes across respects her.
Elizabeth has never been with a man before and doesn't know how to deal with them, Melanie's words kept replaying in her head as she wondered how on Earth it was gonna be possible to talk back to Edde, Edde's gaze alone makes her melt! His presence seals her tongue! So how does she go about all Melanie said?
"Edde sent me the part payment of the money he promised" Elizabeth said in a slight smile.
"hmm… That's nice to hear, 1.5 million dollars isn't a joke, at least he is honest with his words" Melanie said as she played with Elizabeth's curls.
"I was shocked when he sent it, we never talked about him sending me a part payment, All good… I am still thinking of how to spend this money" Elizabeth said, taking a deep breath "Let's get going, I need to resign from Barbara's Pizza palace and go see my mom, I don't think Edde will give me this opportunity again so I gotta use this one well".
"Are you resigning because of the huge pay from Edde?" Mel asked as they both headed to the parking lot.
"Edde asked me to resign"
"He is such a cunt!"

Entering Barbara's Pizza palace I felt nervous approaching her for resignation, this wasn't the plan and I felt like it was too sudden and knowing how disagreeable Barbara is made me think twice.
"Are you sure Barbara won't pour hot cheese on me?" I asked myself inaudibly as I slowly approached the counter, I felt a bit relieved that there were no customers around to witness the embarrassing act Barbara might display.
Leaning towards the counter and smiling at the brown handsome guy, Bob behind the counter.
"Hey Elizabeth, you didn't come to work today ma'am Barb was worried especially as you didn't call to inform her" He said worried as I wrinkled my forehead amazed, Barbara was worried about me? Wow that's new "Well, don't be scared, you still have your job! Ma'am Barb kept emphasizing on how work goes faster when you're around unlike the lazy new waiter" Bod said, making me amazed the more, never knew Barbara appreciates my work here! And she never praises me even indirectly.
Now I feel bad for wanting to resign, I bit my upper lip in frustration "Is Barb in?" I asked as he nodded, I walked into the kitchen which was behind the counter.
I sighted her jotting things down in her little book while two girls prepared the pizzas, I cleared my throat nervously walking to her.
"You don't have to be nervous Elizabeth, I won't bite you" She said making me freeze at the spot as I watched her drop her pen and closed the book "Just that you will have to work for straight one week, and yeah I see you trending on socials with Edde Loxley will you like to talk about all that?" She said coldly as I sighed deeply walking towards her.
"Ma'am Barb, that's not why I came actually" I pouted as she crossed her arms together.
"What's the issue?" She asked, raising her head.
"My husband asked me to…"
"Resign?" She completed as I nodded slowly in guilt. "Well, I saw that coming you're married into a Billionaire family so what will you be doing working with a mini pizza shop" she shrugged her shoulders sarcastically.
"No… No ma'am that's not the point, I…I…" I was short of words and filled with guilt "I will just leave ma'am Barb, thanks for having me" I said, faking a smile as surprisingly she hugged me.
"Take care of yourself Elizabeth…" She said in a smile! First time seeing her smile.
Melanie drove me to Mom's house but sadly she wasn't around. "I will just call her when I get home" I said shrugging at the sound of home, Edde's house isn't mine!
"Etta how about we go catch some fun at the classic strip club downtown!?" Melanie grinded excitedly as I checked the time on my phone.
"No Mel, it's past six Mel, Edde is waiting for me and I am sure that if I go back late he will get mad at me and will not allow me come out again"
"Fuck Edde! We are gonna party hard tonight!" She said switching on the ignition switch.
"No please, Mel" I pleaded, hopefully she accepts.
"Yes please, Etta" She replied as I rolled my eyes heavenward… Fuck him by the way!
