Dave slowly opened his eyes, rubbing the sleep from them as a glowing screen hovered in front of his face.

Dave stared at the screen for a second longer before exhaling slowly.
"...Of course. From demons and pirates to Saiyans now."
He swung his legs off the bed and stretched with a tired smirk on his face. "Guess the multiverse really is endless."
He paused, then cracked his knuckles with a grin.
"Alright then... Tournament of Power, huh? Let's go break some universes."
But then, Dave flopped right back down on the bed with a low grunt.
"Though... after all this time, I still kinda wanna try that parallel universe thing," he mumbled.
Sitting up moments later, he reached out toward the nightstand, pulling the Darkhold back into his lap.
"I just hope I don't get gender-bent again..." he muttered under his breath, flipping through the cursed book with casual dread.
After a quick incantation, he closed his eyes and focused—then suddenly—
He found himself falling, wind roaring in his ears.
"Okay! That's new!" he yelled as he twisted mid-air, reflexes kicking in. Quickly, he tapped into Mumud Magic, his fallback when his own mana was low. It wasn't raw mana-based—it let him draw energy from the surrounding world, more like siphoning ambient energy into simple structured spells.
It wasn't ideal for high-tier casting, but for basic mobility?
Dave extended his hand mid-fall and muttered the incantation, forming a quick levitation matrix under his boots. A glowing ledge of mana formed beneath him, catching his fall in the nick of time.
"Phew..." He hovered gently in place, eyes scanning the alien skyline.
"Alright... let's see which poor alternate reality I just crash-landed into this time."
"Whoa, man! You can fly?" a voice called out.
Dave blinked mid-air and turned toward the voice—only to see a young guy in a red-and-blue suit swinging through the air. A webline snapped out and latched onto Dave mid-hover.
Before Dave could protest, the guy yanked him toward the nearest rooftop and gently planted him on solid ground.
"I was just about to save you, y'know," the guy said, hands on his hips. "But I guess you've got that covered."
Dave stared for a second, still processing the outfit—modern Spidey suit, slightly bulkier arms, and strange claw-like attachments.
"You... are Spider-Man?" Dave asked, raising an eyebrow.
The web-slinger gave him a thumbs-up. "Yep! That's me—well, kind of."
Dave chuckled. "This multiverse never runs out of surprises..."
Spider-Man looked at him again, squinting wondering what is he saying but he then loked back and added. "You can stay here. I'm going after the guy who tossed you earlier—some nut named Klaw. He's a supervillain with electromagnetic claws that can mess with people's nervous systems. Real charming guy."
Dave raised an eyebrow again. "Electromagnetic claws? Sounds like a mix between a science fair project and a bad horror movie."
"Yup, and unfortunately, he's got the attitude to match," Spider-Man sighed, tightening his gloves. "He's been scrambling tech all over the city and brainwashing folks. I could use backup, but—well, not sure if you're a fighter or just... a floater."
Dave gave him a dry look, floating upside down now. "I've probably seen more battles than you've had web cartridges. But alright, go be the hero. I'll watch your back—from up here."
Spider-Man nodded and leapt off the rooftop with a flourish, web-swinging into the distance. "Suit yourself! Just don't get zapped!"
Dave hovered silently for a moment, staring after him. "Electromagnetic claws... right. What next, a villain with gravity boots and a quantum saxophone?"
Then he sighed, stretching his arms as he looked at the chaotic skyline in the distance. "Still... guess it wouldn't hurt to tag along. Let's see what this Klaw freak is made of."
With a flick of his wrist, a small magic circle spun open beneath his feet, boosting him into the sky.
Dave soared through the air, his cloak fluttering behind him as he followed the residual trail of electromagnetic interference Spider-Man had unknowingly left behind. Even without Broly's monstrous power or Whitebeard's tremors, he had learned enough arcane knowledge to hold his own. This version of him—just a mage, no templates—wasn't weak. Just... focused.
He drifted lower, hands behind his back, as the skyline shifted from neat high-rises to a more industrial sprawl. The power lines here buzzed unnaturally. The hairs on his arms stood up.
He whispered to himself as a faint pulse of arcane energy shimmered in his eyes—an old detection spell still active. He traced the source to a distant rooftop where faint arcs of violet electricity flickered in the air.
As he landed, his boots barely touched the gravel before a jolt surged past his feet.
Klaw's voice boomed, sharp and metallic. From behind a vent stack, the villain stepped forward, crackling claws humming with raw force.
Dave said nothing. He simply lifted a hand, fingers spread wide, and muttered a short phrase under his breath. A translucent barrier shimmered into existence just as Klaw lunged forward, claws slashing across the air.
Dave glanced at Klaw again—his red suit reinforced with arc-tech, one hand a twisted construct of EM energy pulsing like a barely contained thunderstorm.
"Ultimate universe, huh?" he muttered. "Figures. The attitude gave it away."
Klaw bared his teeth, flexing the claws. "Another bastard who thinks he can be a superhero. You people are like roaches—pop up in , acting as Hero despite having such capabilities."
Spider-Man stepped forward, twirling a web shooter on his wrist. "Okay, first of all? That's rude. Second—this guy just whooped your fancy little glove without even touching you."
Klaw growled. "I wasn't ready."
