Hearing the system's assurance, Dave nodded and began examining the orb closely. Using his strength and focus, he twisted and maneuvered the orb, solving it like a complex puzzle. As he worked, the orb began to shift and emit a radiant purple glow.
Finally, with a soft click, the orb opened, revealing the Power Stone within. The gem shimmered like the most exquisite jewel, its brilliance illuminating the room.
"Infinity Stone of Power," Dave muttered, holding the gem between his fingers. "Though calling it 'infinity' is an exaggeration. Even with this, there are beings like Celestials and others far beyond its power."
He allowed the Power Stone's energy to course through him for a brief moment. A surge of strength flowed through his body, amplifying his abilities exponentially.
"It's like I'm a hundred times stronger now," he said, smirking as he examined his hand, now brimming with glowing energy.
Standing up, Dave summoned his Devil Sword Dante. The weapon pulsed with a newfound intensity, its blade resonating with the Power Stone's might.
"Haha... feels like a good combo," Dave muttered, his smirk widening as he marveled at the raw power he now wielded.
Dave brought the Power Stone near his sword and carefully attached the gemstone to the handle's tip. There was a groove-like space at the end of the hilt, perfectly designed for such a purpose, as it already holds a red gem but there is still space for another gem. As he placed the Infinity Stone of Power onto it, the gemstone fused seamlessly into the handle.
The sword immediately reacted. A sinister red energy flared around it, mixing with a pulsing cosmic purple aura. The weapon seemed to hum with newfound power, vibrating as its strength increased exponentially.
"Hahaha, now this is power," Dave murmured, a grin spreading across his face as he swung the sword experimentally. He could feel the surge of energy coursing through the blade, far beyond what it was capable of before.
His mind wandered as he considered the other Infinity Stones. "There's also the Soul Stone at another planet, Mind Stone in Thanos' hands. The Space Stone is with S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Time Stone is in the Ancient One's possession," he thought aloud.
Finally, his thoughts landed on the Reality Stone. "The most powerful of them all... it's still lost, drifting between realms. Finding it is possible with my abilities, but it's set to arrive on Earth soon enough. I'll just wait for it," he concluded, already planning his next move.
With a satisfied sigh, Dave sheathed his sword, now glowing faintly with the Power Stone's energy. He leaned back on his bed, arms crossed behind his head, and allowed himself a moment of rest. The universe was vast, and his quest for the Infinity Stones was far from over—but with the Power Stone in his possession, his journey had just taken a significant leap forward.
As the Asgardian ship approached Nidavellir, the vast, dark expanse of space was illuminated by the faint glow of a massive, ring-like structure. The forge itself was suspended within the cosmic void, its immense size dwarfing the ship as they drew closer.
The colossal rings slowly rotated around the central core of Nidavellir, radiating with remnants of molten energy from the star at its heart. The entire forge exuded an ancient and powerful aura, a testament to the craftsmanship of the Dwarves who resided there.
"Magnificent, isn't it?" Thor remarked, his voice filled with awe. "This forge has created some of the most powerful weapons in the universe—Hofund, Mjölnir, Gungnir and countless others."
Natasha and Diana leaned closer to the viewing window, their eyes wide as they took in the sight.
"This place... what is it build upon?," Natasha murmured, her gaze lingering on the swirling molten rivers visible through the forge's open design.
"It's the heart of a dying star," Thor explained, pride evident in his voice. "Its energy powers the forge. Without it, the Dwarves wouldn't be able to create such extraordinary weapons."
The ship docked at one of the massive platforms extending from Nidavellir. As they disembarked, the heat from the forge was palpable, even through their Asgardian garments. The ground beneath their feet was made of blackened metal, worn smooth from centuries of use.
A booming voice greeted them as they stepped onto the platform. "Thor Odinson! What brings you back to Nidavellir?"
They turned to see Eitri, the towering king of the Dwarves, striding toward them. Despite his imposing size, his features were weary, his hands scarred from years of forging.
Thor grinned broadly. "Eitri! It's good to see you again, old friend. I've brought a companion seeking a weapon of great power."
Eitri's eyes shifted to Dave, narrowing slightly as he studied him. "You radiate strength... and something more profound, hmm? What is it you seek?"
Dave stepped forward, his voice steady and respectful. "A sword—crafted with your unmatched skill. One that can harness the energies of the cosmos."
Eitri stroked his beard thoughtfully. "A sword, you say? And you have brought the proper materials, I assume?"
Dave nodded, gesturing toward a chest being carried by the Asgardian crew. "Rare metals from the depths of space and treasures from Asgard. I trust they'll suffice."
Eitri inspected the chest as it was opened, his expression brightening at the sight of the shimmering materials. "Yes... this will do nicely. But such a weapon will require time and precision. The forge demands respect."
"Take all the time you need," Dave replied. "I want it to be perfect."
Eitri studied the materials Dave had brought with great care, his large hands moving with surprising delicacy as he inspected the rare metals. One, in particular, caught his attention—a shimmering piece of Eternium. "Where did you even find this? I have never seen this metal before," he muttered, his tone a mix of astonishment and curiosity.
Dave smirked. "Let's just say I've been to places most wouldn't dare venture."
Eitri nodded appreciatively, then returned his focus to the task at hand. "You want a sword capable of holding the power of all six Infinity Stones?" he asked, his voice low but laced with seriousness. He paused, looking up at Dave with an expression that seemed to pierce straight through him. "A weapon like that isn't just powerful—it's dangerous. Why do you need such a thing?"
