Loki couldn't believe he couldn't land a decisive blow. He continued to fire more and more blasts from his scepter, each attack becoming more desperate, but none found their mark.
Dave stood calm, his movements fluid. He used Armament Haki, his hands coated in a shimmering black aura, effortlessly deflecting each blast. The powerful magic lasers collided with his Haki and fizzled out harmlessly.
Frustrated, Loki charged at him, swinging his scepter with fury. But Dave waved his hand, releasing a powerful shockwave that sent Loki flying backward. Loki crashed into the edge of the bridge, his body slumping near the ends and he fell from it but saved himself at the last time as he grabbed the edge of it.
"Loki!" Thor rushed to his brother's side, his voice filled with concern. He knelt near Loki, who appeared battered and bruised from the clash.
Dave just stood there calmly as he watched Thor check on his brother.
Thor looked at Loki, who was clutching the edge of the bridge, barely holding himself together. "Loki, give me your hand!" Thor pleaded, reaching out.
But Loki's gaze darkened. "Isn't this what you wanted, Thor?" Loki said bitterly, his voice laced with venom. "My death?"
Thor's face contorted with pain at the accusation. "No, Loki," he said firmly. "I don't want that. I never have."
"But does it even matter now? I a Prince of Asgard, was even defeated by that mortal so easily!!" Loki said venomously.
"No, it doesn't matter, Dave is no mortal" Thor said.
Loki stared at him for a moment, as if searching for some hidden deceit. Then, his expression shifted to one of resignation. "You've always been the favored one," he whispered. Slowly, he raised one hand as though he might accept Thor's offer.
But as Thor leaned in closer, Loki suddenly swung his scepter, aiming for Thor's extended hand. The sharp edge grazed Thor, forcing him to pull back in reflex.
"Enough of this!" Thor shouted, grabbing Loki's wrist to pulling him back. But the moment he did, Loki's scepter slipped from his grip, and end up falling in the cosmos below him.
Thor restrained him, his voice softer now. "Stop this madness, brother. Whatever you've done, we can fix it together."
Loki hesitated, his breathing ragged, his gaze flickering between Thor and Dave. "Rather than living here, I might as well fall into the endless abyss of space," Loki said, raising his hand.
Thor leaned in, extending his hand again. "Please, Loki, take my hand," Thor pleaded, his voice heavy with emotion.
Loki glared at him, his eyes filled with a mix of anger and despair. "Let me go," Loki said coldly.
Thor shook his head, his grip firm. "I forgive you, brother. Please, just stop this madness," Thor said, his voice breaking slightly.
As Loki stared at Thor, conflicted, another hand gently rested on his free arm.
"Son, stop this and return," Odin's voice boomed, steady and commanding, yet laced with a fatherly plea. Loki turned to look at him, his expression a mix of disbelief and pain.
"Father," Loki whispered, his voice almost trembling.
Odin nodded solemnly. "Yes, I am your father. Please, now stop this," Odin said, his gaze firm but compassionate.
Loki shook his head, tears forming in his eyes. "No... I am not your son," he said, his voice rising with bitterness. "I am just a cold child you picked from Jotunheim!"
Odin's faces reflected their sorrow as Loki continued. "That's why you've always favored Thor... but not me," Loki said, his voice breaking. "I was never enough."
A faint, bitter smile crossed Loki's face as he released a burst of magic, forcing Thor and Odin to step back slightly, freeing himself from their grip as he begin to fall in the void, Dave watching this didn't do anything, if he wanted he could have easily saved him but then how Loki will meet Thanos and get the Mind Stone Scepter?.
"Loki, no!" Thor shouted, reaching out again.
But it was too late. Loki let himself fall, plummeting into the endless cosmos below, his figure fading into the void as Thor and Odin could only watch in silence, their hearts heavy with grief.
Odin and Thor sat their as Dave just looked at them and didn't said anything.
A few days later, as Asgard mourned the death of Loki, a grand feast was held in honor of the late prince. All of Asgard gathered to partake in the event, yet the hall was heavy with sorrow. Frigga sat silently, her face impassive, though her eyes betrayed her pain. Thor, after only a few bites, stood up and quietly left the hall. Frigga watched him go with a somber expression.
"Where is he going?" Sif asked, concerned.
"He needs some time alone," Frigga replied, her voice soft but resolute. Sif nodded in understanding.
Meanwhile, Thor walked to the far end of the palace, where Odin stood, gazing out into the endless cosmos. Thor's heart was heavy as he approached, his eyes searching the stars, hoping for a miracle.
"...what are you looking at father?" Thor asked hesitantly, his voice low.
Odin exhaled deeply. "Nothing, I cannot see anything," he admitted, his voice tinged with sorrow and regret.
Thor simply nodded, standing silently beside his father. After a long pause, Odin broke the silence. "Forget it," he said firmly, though his tone carried a weight of sadness. "It was not your fault."
Thor looked at Odin, his eyes filled with guilt. "His hatred for you... it was not born in days or months but grew over years," Odin continued. "He could not stand to watch you take all the glory while he felt cast aside, insignificant."
"I thought it was childish jealousy, something he would grow out of," Odin said, his voice faltering. "But I failed to see that the same jealousy would one day consume him."
Thor shook his head, his guilt evident. "It is not your fault, Father," Thor said softly. "Loki's pain ran too deep."
Odin nodded, placing a firm hand on Thor's shoulder. "You will be a wise king," Odin said, his voice steady but filled with fatherly pride. "I am dying, Thor. Soon, Asgard will need a new king."
Thor turned to face Odin, his expression conflicted. Odin looked at him with a calm determination. "Always remember, my son, it is not this place that makes Asgard. It is the people who make Asgard. To be their king, you must be a protector of their lives, not just their land. Always keep this in mind," Odin said before walking away.
Thor remained standing there, staring out into the stars, contemplating his father's words. After a moment, he spoke softly to himself, his resolve hardening. "I promise to protect our people, Father," he whispered.
As Odin disappeared into the distance, a faint smile formed on his face, knowing Thor would carry the weight of his wisdom into the future.
