After ten more minutes as I finally finish my girl's portrait, Michael has finished the flower vase. That drawing is again amazing. Orange tulips in beautiful blue vase. But since it's just a flower vase and he did it really quickly, it's not something really great like the first drawing. Probably he wanted to finish the scenery drawing now itself.
He gets up and hastily goes to Miss Anderson, who smiles looking at his picture and then gives it back to him after signing it. Michael smiles. Probably he got 'O' again for the drawing or at least 'A' since it's a late submission. O means outstanding and no body actually gets that. He got it for his last portrait.
As he comes back and places the picture in his binder, I see he has got ' O' itself. Miss Anderson couldn't lower his grade although he submitted two weeks late. She seems to have really liked Michael. But I guess all the people here is now extremely jealous of him.
Although I finished my drawing I don't go to submit my sheet. If I do that, Miss Anderson will ask me to leave. I'm leaving only after Michael leaves. So I sit there doing more touch up on my girl's eyes, lips and hair whilst side eying Michael drawing the next picture. Apparently he is drawing Sunset.
When the bell rings after fifteen minutes, Michel is more than half way through his last work. The sea and the sun is almost finished and he is working on the sky. Just by looking at it, I know it's gonna be a masterpiece when he finishes it. The fiery red sun in the center with hues of pink, orange and magenta surrounding it, looks just so original.
But he has ruined his hoodie. The right hand sleeve is full of drops of blue, red and yellow paint. Stupid boy ! Why couldn't he just roll it up ? And ironically he has rolled up his left hand sleeves. Probably he didn't want to take my advice. I sigh.
" Ethan, haven't you finished yet ?", Miss Anderson asks furrowing her eyebrows. Michael, me and Miss Anderson are the only three people now left in the room.
" Ahmm..yeah.", I nod and stand up from my seat, walking to her.
" You need to improve your drawing skills a lot.", she says whilst writing an 'A' on the assignment register under my name.
" Yeah..I'm trying.", I lie taking my sheet back. She nods. I then turn and proceed to walk towards the door.
" Are you leaving ? Weren't you waiting for Michael?", She asks.
" Ahmm..I..actually.."
" Michael you may leave now.", Miss Anderson says cutting me. " Just submit it next week. And I already gave you 'O' for all three weeks.", she says. Michael nods smiling.
Woah ! I guess that's not fair since he didn't submit yet.
Okay it's fair since it caused Michael to smile again. And his work is definitely a masterpiece.
I walk to the doors and wait for him outside since Miss Anderson thought I was waiting for him. Also there's no one in the corridor. It's already five minutes since the bell rang.
Michael unclips his painting from the easel and then walks towards the door after smiling once more at Miss Anderson. He doesn't put the drawing in his binder as the paint hasn’t dried yet.
I walk along with him as he walks out. "Why are w..walking with me ?", he asks.
" There's no one here.", I say.
" Don't walk with me."
" Look you ruined your hoodie.", I say ignoring him, reaching to grab his left hand. But he quickly moves his hand and tuck it in his pocket, holding his drawing in his right hand. " What ? You don't like me touching you ?", I ask clicking my tongue on my cheeks.
" Yeah, I don't like.", he scoff. " G..go away."
" No.", I say. He sighs and starts walking briskly. I also increase my speed. But he speeds further and then starts running.
Suddenly my eyes go wide on seeing who is coming from the opposite. Tony and Sofia. Shit !
Michael stops running on seeing them. Tony and Sofia smirks and walks towards him. I can't see Michael's expression as he is facing his back to me. I bet he is looking extremely terrified now. I slowly walk towards him as Tony already saw me and I can't escape.
" Trying to escape from our buddy ?", Tony asks as he reach near Michael. I also reach just behind him.
" N..n..no..", Michael stutters.
" Oh..what is this ?", Tony asks and snatches the drawing from Michael’s hands. " You drew this ? So you draw well.", Tony asks and then hands the picture to Sofia, who looks at it amusedly.
" He really draws well.", she says to Tony.
"Hmm..yeah. And I decided one thing. He is the one drawing my Botany and Zoology records.", Tony says.
" Mine too.", Sofia chirps.
" Between did you finish my English assignment? Where is it ?", Tony asks. What ! So he is making him do his assignments ?
"No. I- I had lot of w..works to complete.", Michael says.
" What works ? Didn't I tell you I want to get my assignment today ? I need to submit it tomorrow.", Tony snarls furiously, clutching Michael hoodie.
" I- I'll d..do it today.", Michael stammers nervously.
" If I tell you to do a thing, you need to finish it at the time I say.", Tony says and leaves Michael's collar. He then grabs the drawing from Sophia's hands and tear it into four, dropping the pieces to the floor.
" Oh..that was a nice drawing.", Sophia coos giggling. Michael looks down at the pieces of paper lying on the floor and both his and my hands fist into tight balls.
" I want to get my assignment at my dorm at sharp 8 ! Understood ?", Tony barks. Michael nods clenching his teeth together. " Now go start working on it." Tony scoff giving him a push and chuckles as he scampers away.
" Hey, what's wrong ?", Sophia calls me looking at my fisted hands.
" I gotta go.", I say unfisting my hands and proceeding to walk.
"Dude, we have practice.", Tony calls.
I sigh inwardly. " Tell coach I won't be at practice.", I say trying hard to control myself.
" What's wrong ?", Sophia asks.
" I'm not well.", I say.
" Is it because of him ?", Tony asks furrowing his eyebrows. " What ? Do you have a soft corner for him ? Don't tell me you are going to go to him."
" Enough ! Stop torturing him. ", I suddenly scoff making both Tony and Sophia jump. My anger takes control of my self and I continue. " What satisfaction do you get by making his life a hell ? "
" Hey..Ethan ! Are you sure you are alright man ?", Sophia asks in surprise bringing me back to my senses.
" Sorry...I-I don't think so. I'll catch you guys tomorrow. ", I say quickly and hurries away without daring to look at their faces once again.
