Percy's connection to the scorpion spirit changed the game.
The great golden earth spirit slammed into the Fire Minotaur with enough force to shatter the earth around them and send ripples through the air.
He watched the two spirits fight with a smile on his face. Behind him, Griffon and Sebas looked uncertain what to do as Thalos dashed towards Lethel.
Griffon's white wings unfurled behind him then he took off. His body zipped over the darkened stone in a blur.
But before he could pass Percy's golem, a spike shot from the earth and nearly impaled him. Griffon twisted his body, eyes wide with shock at the attack's speed.
He spun to a stop, feet screeching against stone.
Percy turned to him with a pleased smile.
"I'll be your opponent."
Griffon's forehead wrinkled with confusion, and very soon a sneer escaped him, furious at the bastard's audacity.
"I won't play games with a Rank 1 child."
Percy didn't bother speaking any more. He reached out with one hand and a barrage of stone spikes shot from the ground and walls towards Griffon and Sebas.
Griffon grimaced before taking off, his form turning into a white blur, racing between the earth shards, each so fast they made the air scream. Meanwhile Percy just watched him, standing in the same spot.
The scorpion spirit enhanced my control of earth magic, specifically my attack speed and defensive abilities.
It was similar to how the minotaur enhanced all of Lethel's direct attacks. Rank 4 spirits strengthened certain types of spells and gave conditions for getting stronger.
For Lethel, the longer he fought and kept moving the more he built up power for a final charge, which was the cataclysmic explosion he generated before.
For Percy, the more hits he landed on an opponent the faster his casting speed got for earth spells.
It didn't pass on to his fire or wind affinity, but it wasn't needed, since the scorpion enhanced his earth control to a ridiculous level.
Countless stone projectiles chased Griffon through the sky; Percy could even make his golem's hair and clothes sway in the torrents of wind caused by his attacks. At the same time he was also attacking Lethel.
Five massive pillars descended onto the fire spiritmancer, each as colossal as a multi-storey building. Their weight and speed compressed the air as they pressed down on Lethel's tiny form.
Lethel looked up, clicking his tongue. Then he flicked five fingers towards the stone pillars. A brief flash of white erupted from all around him, blinding the world before disappearing.
Then the pillars began to turn red and expanded as heat surged through their interior.
All five of the pillars exploded into blocks of charred stone, falling around Lethel as he fire-shifted away from Thalos' attacks. The swordsman still gave chase, appearing behind Lethel almost instantly.
Five crimson sword slashes burst into existence, but Lethel was already gone, and so was Thalos.
Everywhere they clashed, all that was left behind was red swordlight and the afterimages of white flames.
Percy could only barely keep up with them; his attacks were fast, but both of them were moving beyond what was even possible.
He turned back just as Sebas arrived, slipping through his stone shards in a sandy wave.
The Basker family head reformed his body then sent a giant sand hand towards Percy, who just glared. He stretched out his hand and gravity was distorted in front of him, grasping the sand hand and locking it in place.
"I'm slowly redesigning the gravity circle in the temple into a spell that I can use," he said casually. "It won't be long before I have something that can erase your foul existence from this world."
He bent the stone under their feet, raising Sebas from the ground and trapping him in a stone sphere.
Griffon used this to his advantage though, flying towards the stone sphere, because he knew Percy wouldn't attack in that direction.
Stone spears rushed past Griffon's bare skin as he just barely dodged them. Percy was standing right there.
He had no evidence, but his spirit told him destroying this golem would help the situation.
He tightened his grip on the two morningstars in his hands and started chanting, summoning earth spirits.
"Beneath my feet, the world stirs, her breath steady, her pulse eternal. I open my spirit to her silent song, take her weight to my limbs, her strength to my will. From the bones of stone, let my power rise!"
The two spiked balls glowed with golden light as he surged through the barrage of stone spikes, drawing golden light from the earth around him.
He was almost there, but one more spike blocked his way. Griffon charged right through it, pointed his morning star ahead, roaring with all his strength.
A heavy crash ripped through the air and the spike was filled with golden light before Griffon blasted through the other end.
Percy almost clapped for him, but the man flashed right in front of him, morning stars raised to smash his face in.
So Percy stretched out one hand and caught the attack.
The air rung with a metallic hiss, the ground exploded underneath his feet as the force surged through him. And a smile found its way onto his face when Percy saw Griffon's expression.
"I've been making spells, you know," Percy said. His other hand stretched out and the gravity in front of him was distorted. "I have hundreds of golems to help me with calculation."
Griffon slammed into the ground, feeling both heavy and too light at the same time. Percy continued speaking, ignoring the man's groan of protest.
"Fighting all three of you at once is a piece of cake. What my mind is focused on now is creating a methodology for analysing circles to reproduce spell chants. That way I can get magic from the old empire that is kept secret by the more powerful families in Crona."
The mental exhaustion would be insane after this, but it was definitely worth it.
He would gain a lot of spells to use in normal combat as they were faster than magic tools.
But enough of that. He drew the stone replica of Cloudeater on his hip and pointed it at Griffon's throat.

Sand surged from the small hole that Sebas had spent a while drilling through, surrounding Percy instantly before it began glowing with a golden sheen like something out of a dream.
A sandy dome formed around Percy to hold him back. Sebas' head reformed at the top of the swirling dome.
"Go and help Lethel kill Thalos!" Sebas urged Griffon. "You're the only one that can keep up with them. Once Thalos is dead we can find the boyโ"
The air expanded with a shrill whine that drowned out their voices; the earth trembled and caved in instantly.
A tremendous wave of energy rippled over space, blasting Sebas' sand form throughout the room, and sent Griffon crashing into the wall.
Percy was left standing at the center of a crater with a single hand raised. His face was disgusted, but now that Sebas was gone, he smiled.
He just rapidly compressed air with his gravity spell and created a compounding effect.
That single attack counted as almost two hundred against Sebas, and had pushed him closer to the condition presented by his spirit manifestation. His attacks would now be unbelievably faster.
He turned to Lethel; it was time to end this.
