MEET LEVIN
Levin came to Italy to meet his friend dale but on getting to Italy the story is now changing to different thing, maybe he had made a mistake moving to Italy, the way levin looked at it, the place was filled with resorts, marines, special events and unique attraction. Every one was competing against the other and promotion was the key.
His friend dale had encourage the move. They met at turkey state university years earlier and had remained friends even though their careers had taken them to different parts of the state, he respected dale's opinion and with all the drama in levin's life, getting away from Detroit and it bad memories had seemed to make sense.
Turning the key in the ignition, levin looked in the rearview mirror, then checked the side mirror before backing out of the packing spot.... Memories of the interview bounced back in his head, and he wondered if he might have forgotten something or if perhaps he had been too abrupt.
Some of the man's questions had seemed demeaning, levin wondered if he might have offended the man. What new, levin, old boy? You have done that before.
At thirty he felt unsettled, he hated the feeling, life had dealt with him in so many ways, and he wished he could let them roll of his shoulder like rain, but he could not. They soaked into his beings and left him saturated with regret.
Levin straightened his back and tried to focus on the present, he could do nothing about the past, except learn from it, but could he?
The light turn red just ahead, and he pressed on the brake, he slid his hands inside his pocket before the light changed to green, pulled out a paper and glanced at the address written on it, six o clock in the evening. His stomach twinged reminding him that he had not eaten since breakfast, and the day had trudged past, leaving his appetite unresponsive.
He wondered if he would be disturbing his brother if he decided to go to his place now, in truth, he did not care after thinking about going to his brother's house he decided to go. He turned at the next block and headed down waverly, watching the house numbers has he drove. He slowed, certain the house had to be nearby. He spotted the address and pulled into the driveway. He stepped down from his car and called his brother on the phone to tell him he is in front of his house, am coming to pick you, wait okay his brother will never change immediately Bryan get down and saw his brother, he ran to him and hugged him tight to himself, I miss you so much levin, mara keep watching the whole drama from her window, when they get inside Michael Bryan's friend also embrace levin and welcome him home, As he stepped into the foyer, the scent of food surrounded him. Beef, perhaps and something rich and sweet, his stomach gave a silent growl as he backed away to let his brother close the door.
"I"m afraid this is a bad timing, I have interrupted your dinner ". Stop behaving like a stranger levin, you are my younger brother so you should be free around me, by the way, the scent is coming from the basement, it my crazy neighbor that is performing magic.
Wow she must be a really good cook, yes she is good and also stingy at the same time, she eat alone and am sure she will die alone, don't say that Bryan, I normally use to eat her delicious cookies, that because you are close to her, she is friends with everybody in this compound except you who choose to take her as your enemy, she made cookies? Yes, she sells them, can I see where she is making them? After you have eaten levin, am sure you won't be able to stand her....
Just eat first okay, by the way what is the name of her cookies. "Your choice ". Your choice? Yes that somehow funny.
