ADRIA'S POV:
"I.. I hired Edward seeing his experience and skills. First time in my life I trusted someone so soon after meeting them so I was furious after knowing that the man I trusted so much, betrayed me. I was determined to destroy him and have him compensate all the loss that he caused me", Austin began telling Andrea everything but Augustus stopped him in middle.
"I don't think we should do this in presence of Edward. He is going to get very angry on knowing what all happened here when he was unconscious, we can't let this happen. The doctor warned us that we should keep his blood pressure in check", he reasoned.
"I don't care what the doctor said. I want to hear every word from his mouth. I want to know what all this bastard did to my daughter so that when I kill him I won't feel much guilty", dad spat at him.
"Dad please, we can't risk your life. You are hyper enough already, I don't want you to be more stressed. I and Andrea want you by our side. So please", I requested him.
"But princess.."
"Dad, please. I never got a chance to demand anything from you. Consider this as my first demand from you as your daughter. I want you healthy. So please wait in some other room", Andrea requested him. He sighed heavily and stood from his chair.
"Just because of you two girls I am going from here but I want to know everything that happened with my daughters. Every injustice they went through, I will punish the culprits with my own hands", saying he walked out of the room. Austin called the nurse he had appointed for dad and asked her to take him to his room and check his blood pressure. He also ordered one of the maids to send some food to his room.
"If you are done babysitting the old man can we continue", Augustus said rudely. I decided to ignore him again for his irrational behaviour. And then everyone else stayed silent. Only Austin was the one who spoke. He didn't look at me even for a second during his confession, all the time he was looking into Andrea's eyes.
To me, it was hell uncomfortable to watch him sitting there, his eyes and voice filled with guilt while he spoke about all the tortures he had done to me. I had gone through them but I could feel all the wounds opening and the scenarios playing in my mind again as I was listening to him. I could feel every mark on my back itching as he told Andrea about the time he tortured me in his basement. The mark of his name on my chest burned as the awful day was mentioned.
As if throwing himself in more guilt Austin told Andrea every small detail, every bad word he spoke against me, every mark he put on my body, every touch of him that made me uncomfortable. But he skipped the part when he was good to me. When he showered me with love. When he brought a perfect dress for me and planned a wedding for us. Maybe he is embarrassed to say that to Andrea, the girl he loved the most.
My stupid brain must not be thinking about it now. I have to sort out my feelings but it can be done later.
Even though my heart broke with every word that he said, I almost started crying when he told us about Connor. Austin told us that Connor's father actually cared for him and asked him if he wants me safe or not. Mr Blake was a greedy man but he was ready to betray his friend Jack and not tell him anything about me and dad provided his son once told him that he loved me. But Connor decided otherwise. He was more interested in the supposed money he could have gotten from Jake in exchange for us. Moreover, he was the one who suggested making use of our situation and making my father work for them. The father and son were going to hand us over to Jake anyway once dad did all the work for them.
Connor never loved me. He was attracted to me but never loved me. He was willing to let me go for his own greed.
But their plan went wrong. They thought that Austin would harm my dad if he gets to know about him but he will let me go. If that happens they were going to take me and hand me over to Jake.
But their plan was messed up. Austin mistook me as Andrea, no one knew about her involvement with Austin so this was uncalled for them.
Not knowing what to do Mr Blake informed Jake about everything. jake was furious and he threatened them. He told them that it was their mistake I missed from their hands and now they had to find me at any cost. Connor played all good and helped me run away. He even manipulated me into stabbing Austin.
I was confused and asked Austin thats why he was playing good in the warehouse where his father and Jake kept us. They already had me then why act good? Austin reasoned that Connor was acting good because he still wanted me physically and according to Connors words he 'did not want me to make a scene while fucking me'. I never thought Connor could be this filthy. Was he pretending to be good since the first day?
"I got his letter once. It had 'Don't fall for his lies' written on it. Who helped him to bring the letter to me?", I asked him once Austin was done telling us everything.
"Cara helped him", Augustus said in a blunt tone. Cara was the maid who used to help me here.
She helped me cure my wounds, dress me up when I couldn't even move and even feed me when I was too weak to eat from my own hands. Did she know everything about Connor? Did she help him with everything? I voiced my doubts to them.
"No, he manipulated her. She had .. she had seen you suffer so decided to help him", Austin was the one who explained me. I felt relieved, I really liked her and trusted her.
I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't notice the shivering Andrea beside me. Shit, I can't even imagine how must she be feeling after knowing that the man she loved has done horrible things to her sister. Hell, he was thinking that I am 'her' when he initially started his torture.
"Andrea", I touched her arm softly. She jerked as if my touch burned her. When she looked at me her eyes were wide and full of fear, then they softened and a gasp escaped her lips.
Jumping from her seat she hugged me tightly and started crying. I didn't know what to do. I wasn't used to such affection. Still, my hands went on their own and hugged her. She was crying loudly while my tears flow silently down my cheeks.
"It all happened because of me. I am so sorry Adria. If only I didn't exi....", she cried but I stopped her.
"Sister, please don't blame yourself. I am fine", I said rubbing her back.
She pulled off from the hug and wiped hir tears. Her helpless face suddenly turned into a fierce one. It was the first time I was seeing her like that.
"OMG", I exclaimed as a loud voice echoed in Austin's almost empty study. Andrea just slapped him.
