We took the oath to destroy Jack Crawford even if we have to give our lives for it. The whole story or rather the past that Andrea narrated for me, sounded like a horror story. It was too scary for me to believe. But the situation I am in at present confirmed that whatever she said was the reality of her life...... the reality of our life.
Till yesterday I believed that my mom died just after giving birth to me but now when I finally know the truth about her death I feel my heart breaking into a thousand pieces. I never even met her, but still, it hurts me so much.
I can't even imagine the pain Andrea had gone through. She lived with her. She shared her life with her, she was moulded by her. And she had to watch her die. She even sold herself to save her but to no avail.
"What if we refuse to sign the papers Jack wants us to sign?", I asked her.
"He will just torture us and make us sign it", She sighed. "He is desperate and he will do everything to make us sign those papers", she added.
"She is right Adria dear, you have no idea how low I can stoop to get what I want", Came Jack's voice. He entered the room with a bulky bald man following him like his tail.
"This man here is Gama. He is a magician and he has many magical ways to help me get my work done. My sweetie Andrea already knows that, don't you dear?", he said pointing at the bulky man. I looked at Andrea as he mentioned her. She was squirming in her chair. It looked like she wanted the chair to swallow her. She was so scared.
"Gama dear, go greet our sweetheart", Jack ordered and Gama started moving towards Andrea. She was shivering due to fear now.
"No.. no st..stay away from me. Please", she cried.
"Stay away from her you monster", I hissed but they ignored me completely.
Gama moved forward and cupped her cheeks. He made her look at him, her eyes were filled with tears.
"Leave her you swine. Keep your filthy hands off her", I shouted again. He continued ignoring me.
"Hey, love", Gama said. If his looks were scary then his voice was scarier. It was so hoarse and loud. "Sir Jack wants you to sign some papers. And as much as I want you to obey him I won't mind if you don't. Because if you don't obey him I will get the chance to 'make' you obey", he bent down and licked her cheek. How disgusting!
"Fucking leave her!", I screamed for the nth time but this time my cry did not get unnoticed.
"Wait, Gama", Jack stopped him. "Let's not waste time. I know how to get my work done from these bitches", he pulled Gama back and mumbled something in his ears.
Gama had the same monstrous smile on his face but now he did not go towards Andrea, instead, he was walking towards me. "New toy", he bent down in front of me and smiled creepily at me.
"Stay away from her", Andrea hissed. "Stay away from her!", she now screamed and was trying to break her binds. Her chair made noises as it chattered on the floor.
Gama moved from my side and went towards Andrea. He slapped her hard on her face. The sound echoed in the small room. "I don't like it when you act like a whining bitch", he spat at her face and turned to me again. Andrea went almost unconscious but still was mumbling something. Gama came near me and grabbed the hem of my t-shirt.
"Let me check whether even your body is the same as her or not", he was literally drooling over my face.
He pulled my t-shirt first. I closed my eyes shut when he was about to tear it. I kept them shut not wanting to look at his disgusting face. Also not want to look at my so-called father when he himself was ordered some man to play with his daughters' virtue.
I waited but instead of feeling my t-shirt being torn from my body I felt his hand moving away from me and then I heard a loud thud. I opened my eyes to see what happened.
Gama's lifeless body fell on the floor just beside my chair. Blood oozed from his head where a big hole was clearly seen. He was shot right in his head. Chunks of his brain fell out but the scene did not disgust me. The monster deserved it. But it surely made my mind go numb. I kept looking at it for a few seconds blankly and finally decided to look up at the person who shot him and saved my virtue. "Augustus", I whispered. But someone whispered his name along with me. Andrea.
Of course, she did. It didn't take me any time to know that my sister 'Andrea' was 'The Andrea' Austin kept talking about. And if I had any doubts Andrea cleared them after mentioning her boyfriend when she was in school. But I had more important matters and questions in my head than thinking about it.
"What the fuck", Jack screamed and put his hand in his pocket to take out his gun. Augustus was faster, he shot right on Jack's hand making him scream in pain. He held his injured hand with his other hand and fell on the floor. He was crying and cursing but no one gave a shit about him. Not even his own daughters, he deserved it too.
A few men appeared from behind Augustus, one came forward and injected something in Jack's arm making his body go lifeless. Must be anaesthesia. Another man came forward and started working on my binds and Augustus went near Andrea and started working on hers.
"Augustus, Augustus!! Oh, God! it's really you. You came! He sent you, didn't he? How is he? Oh, God! I knew he will save me", Andrea kept crying.
"It's okay, princess. You are safe now. And he is fine", He spoke to her softly. The whole time he did not even spare me a glance.
"Thank you, thank you so much", she cried and then looked at me. "Adria, see he came. He promised to save me and he saved me", she said and I just kept looking at her.
"Let's go", Augustus announced. He asked one of his men to help Adria move.
Jack was already been dragged out and now some men were clearing Gama's body.
"Let's go, Adria", my sister called out."I'll bring her", Augustus told her with a smile on his face. She smiled back and started walking with the man who was helping her.
Augustus finally looked at me, his soft expressions changed completely. Anger replacing them. I recalled my unpleasant memories with him. The way he warned me. And now I had hurt his best friend, his brother and I knew he was going to make me pay for it. He saved me just to destroy me.
"I wish I could shoot that bullet in your head", he said and turned on his heels not before motioning me to follow him.
