“Did you hear that there's new trustee and he’s much younger, near about our age.”
“Ya even me too, heard he’s very hot as well.”
“He's also a very popular business tycoon.”
“Hey, did u read today's newspaper???”
“Why is there something new in it???”
“Last night both the Mr. Oberios were spotted at Mumbai international airport with a GIRL.”
“Oh yes, it’s on the first page, damn that girl is so lucky. These two hottest business tycoons are with her.”
“The two men were at the airport since 6pm..and they left at around 10pm.....almost 4hrs they were waiting for that girl, wonder who that girl is?”
“The two people who are such time punctual and workaholics have just waited and wasted their time like that only.”
“I even heard she's quite younger to them both.”
And so on…there were rumours everywhere. Shaking their heads seeing people having such mindless gossips about someone else Fab 5 now were fuming in anger that how could people discuss in front of them about someone else. It was as if the entry of Fab 5 had now become stale news and no one even acknowledged their presence anymore.
That's exactly when a girl came running in and tripped over someone's feet. Gearing up for a nasty fall she realized that she had not kissed the ground but was held mid-air by a pair of strong arms. Looking up she was mesmerized to see a beautiful pair of brown eyes that belonged to Karan, which even though having a mischievous glint had a soft and compassionate side to them.
But alas to their dismay their eye lock was disturbed by our very own female version of hulk, Maira.
“How dare you? Can't you see properly and walk?” Maira’s voice boomed in the canteen. Gathering herself the girl responded, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to. It was just an accident”. Laughing sarcastically, Maira spoke, “Oh so you mean to say you didn't mean to but yet ended up throwing your pathetic self on my brother? Right in front of me?”.
Before the girl could say something Alya spoke up, “Hey you bloody commoner don't you know who we are?” The whole time for a change Karthik and Karan were quiet. Karan was exactly standing behind that girl while Alya, Maira and Yash were standing in front of her. Yash was busy taking the video while the two girls very bashing the poor soul. And our very own Karthik Thakur was just sitting there, watching the show.
The girl was standing there blankly when another girl walked in, she had a low ponytail and spectacles. “Naina, you left your wallet-” she looked around analysing the situation. “Uhm..Let’s leave” she said quietly while pulling her sister away.
The students who were in the canteen were now very scared, knowing fully well what will happen to the poor souls who was Fab 5 fresh target. The girls was wearing a blue and pink with golden colour design dress with her hair neatly tied in a pony tail. They were simple yet beautiful. And Karan was mesmerized by Naina’s beauty and simplicity still dazed in the moment they had just shared.
“You, new girl. Do you have a name now”, Maira’s voice broke the silence.
Meekly the girl responded, “Ishaani”
Alya hearing this started laughing, “Naina? Ishaani? Like seriously? So old fashioned.” Hearing this even the rest start laughing except Karan, who was in deep thoughts. There were lots of thoughts running in his mind, ‘Her name is also Naina, her accent is also same. Could she be my Naina by any chance??? But if she is the one, then she would tell me.’ But soon realizing that she didn’t even know who he was.
His thoughts were disturbed by our very own hukk, Maira who was forcing her to drink some nasty soup mixed with oils. Almost on the verge of crying, Naina and Ishaani could be heard saying “Please...leave us, let us go”. Alya cooing her said, “Oh please, now don't be a spoil sport and ruin our plans, drink” By now, almost the whole college had assembled in canteen to watch the show.
Being scared Naina stepped back from Maira's hold and then she again tripped but this time she tripped over Karan's shoe. And again, before she could hit the ground Karan caught her and made her stand steady while making her face him.
Karan who was holding Naina was so lost that he didn't realize that he was still holding her arms tightly in such a way that the person who didn't see the earlier incident would think that he was torturing her.
Just then there was a very loud noise.
Thud.
The newcomers were gathered in the canteen, their attention occupied by the exciting drama occurring. The tension was stretching on every minute, but no one had the courage to say something or take their eyes off the scene.
At the same time, the seniors, who just finished their classes, started pouring out in the hallways with hurry, each one of them eager to hear, see and then go home and relax after a long and tiring day. Just outside the campus, something manages to attract their already tired attention.
A black BMW, which definitely stood out in the current scenery, stopped at the entrance. Watchful eyes looked with interest at the person inside the car. Who else could it be other than a celebrity, making such a scene at the campus? Some whispers could be heard, snickering and all kinds of comments about the mysterious person.
The watchman rushed to open the door and the whispering got louder, to the point you couldn’t even call it whispering anymore. Everyone’s attention locks on the car and the mystery person stepping out. It was…her.
