Author's POV
"What are you doing here?"
Rosetta asked hiding the crumbled paper behind her.
Skyler looked at her and then to the bouquet.
"You are acting like I caught you cheating on me..."
He said in serious tone.
Rosetta stepped back from him and walked towards dustbin.
"It's from my students... And if I had an affair, I wouldn't be marrying you. Anyway this marriage means nothing..."
She replied and threw the paper in dustbin.
"Good... Because I don't like to share my things."
Skyler looked at her with hard gaze, she looked at him with frown.
"Even if I can't use those things..."
She understood the double meaning behind his words. She could have argue back but at this moment she was thinking about Vlad's threat.
She knows that he is more than capable to harm anyone. Her family is capable enough to protect themselves but what about skyler's family, are they ready for the problems?
Rosetta was in dilemma thinking that is she dragging more people in her mess for her selfish reasons. She is doing this marriage because of Vlad, so he can lose interest in her but is it really worth it? What if he hurts Skyler or his family. Can Rosetta take that guilt. She wasn't ready for that.
Jackson has already informed her that Vlad is planning something big on her wedding day. May be he is going to hurt someone.
Meanwhile Skyler was looking at her bedroom's interior. She has beautiful room but dull in colours. It was neat and clean. He was impressed by the book collection she has on her shelves. There was no TV or any other gazette. Most of the books were about personality development and about life. But the weird thing he noticed that she has no bed, she was sleeping on the floor.
Her mother removed the bed from her room when they started her strict training.
Rosetta sighed and looked at Skyler.
"Skyler... I don't want to marry you..."
She said in serious tone. She wasn't ready to risk anyone's life for her. It will be better if she finds another way to deal with Vlad.
"I'll deal with my mother..."
Skyler's eyes snapped towards her when she said that. His blood started boiling in anger and he couldn't understand why. Her rejection felt like someone has stabbed his heart with sharp knife. He clenched his jaw.
"Why?"
His voice came out thick and dark but he didn't show his anger.
"I have my reasons..."
She replied calmly.
Skyler didn't break the eye contact with her as he sat on the sofa like he owns it. It was looking small in front of him large frame.
He crossed his legs and threw the papers on the coffee table which he were holding in his hands.
"Do you know what is this?"
He asked and she shook her head.
"This is an agreement between our fathers. They have promised alliance to each other and this news has spread in the underworld like wildfire. Many mafia clans has agreed to merge with us because they knows that kings and knights are unbreakable when they are together. This marriage has benefited us the way you can't even imagine. Our fathers has signed the deals of billions with other families just because of this alliance."
Skyler stated while she was listening to him quietly.
"You know word is everything in our world and our families has given their words. Your this immature decision can cause us loss of billions... I don't care about money, I can earn it back in no time but I can't bring back the respect of my father which he will lose in this shit and same goes for your father. When I first met you, I cleared it there itself that it's a very big decision, once you agreed then there is no going back..."
Skyler wasn't ready to accept her decision. He couldn't understand what made her change her mind.
Rosetta released a defeated sigh, he was right. For a moment she forgot that this marriage is not just about herself. She walked towards the window and looked out. This situation was suffocating her. She was feeling trapped. She saw her father who was sitting in the garden with her mother.
She loves her father, he treats her like princess. Her mother couldn't give her warm shoulder like other mothers does, her father was doing it for her. Rosetta can tolerate anything but not her father's disrespect, she can kill for him.
She agreed to marry so Vlad won't hurt her family but breaking this marriage will hurt them in worst possible way.
"You are right... I can't do it now..."
She mumbled and he smirked. Fire in his heart slowly died down.
Skyler threw another envelope on the table.
"Sign it... It's contract about our marriage..."
He declared.
Rosetta walked towards him and picked it up. She opened it and read those papers. It has terms and conditions about their marriage which they discussed in their first meeting.
Rosetta licked her dry lips, she had no choice but to sign it. It was for everyone's welfare. She signed the papers and Skyler smirked. By signing this agreement she officially signed herself to him.
She was about to turn back but he grabbed her hand and pulled her on his lap. She scrunched her eyebrows in disapproval.
She was about to get up but he stopped her.
"We need to give them strong proof that we are really in love..."
He whispered close to her face. She inhaled his rich cologne and gulped.
"Your mother still has doubts..."
Rosetta couldn't agree more. Not just her mother but everyone was doubting their relationship. Jackson has already advised her that if she wants to make Vlad believe then she must act like a lover of Skyler. They were hopeful that he might lose his interest in her. But she has no idea about which proof Skyler is talking about.
She sat there looking at him questioningly.
"What are you talking about?"
She asked but her voice came out dry. She was sitting on his lap uncomfortably.
"Nothing just a little show... Don't hide it..."
He smirked and she stayed silent.
"Take off your hoodie..."
He said.
Rosetta was wearing sports bra in which she usually does her exercise so it wasn't big deal for her. She took off her hoodie.
Skyler removed her hair from her shoulder leaving it bare for him. Rosetta gulped hard when he caressed particular spot on her neck. Her heartbeat increased when he leaned down and kissed it.
She flinched when his wet lips touched her skin but he wrapped his hand around her waist dragging her closer. Rosetta clutched on his shoulders when sucked on her sweet spot and she couldn't hold back her moan.
It fuelled his fire, he started sucking hard and it drove her crazy. She was inexperienced and his touch was driving her crazy. She was about to lose her senses.
She involuntarily tilted her neck giving him more space and he smirked. He started kissing and sucking on her neck like hungry wolf.
Rosetta's hands were roaming on his shoulders and his hard muscles were driving woman inside her crazy. His scent was already addictive. Skyler roamed his tongue from her collarbone to jaw and it made her shiver as Spark ignited in her whole body. She felt wetness between her thighs.
Skyler didn't stop, he left red hickeys on her pale skin. He was holding her head Still by her hair.
"Skyler..."
She gasped when she felt something hard poking her thighs.
Skyler Groaned in response, he wasn't in control of himself. His beast has taken over him.
"That's enough... We should stop..."
She rasped.
Rosetta pushed him away and quickly stood up, it was not easy to pull herself away from his hold.
"Stop...."
She panted heavily.
Skyler looked at her with red eyes, he was breathing heavily too. He closed his eyes and cursed while punching the sofa.
"Fuck..."
He ran his hands through his hair frustratingly and stood up. He grabbed the papers and strode out of the room.
Rosetta stood there frozen not believing what she just did. It was unexpected.
On other hand Skyler couldn't realise that he has started growing unhealthy obsession for Rosetta. Her every move was affecting him.
This time he wants to find out that why she was saying no to this marriage. He wants the reason.
