"Who are you?"
Rosetta asked to the man who is hiding behind the mask.
That man looked at her amusingly, Rosetta couldn't see his smirk hidden behind the mask.
"That's for me to know and for you to find out, sweetheart..."
He replied, his voice was soft like melody.
Rosetta looked at him carefully trying to recognise him but she couldn't. She doesn't know this man. He wasn't familiar at all.
"What were you doing here?... Why you saved me?..."
She questioned.
That man chuckled and stepped back from her to leave without answering her questions.
Rosetta grabbed his hand making him turn around, she was about to snatch the mask away from his face but he easily blocked her hand.
He grabbed her hand tightly and it became impossible for her to move. Rosetta understood that he is skilled than her. He knows what is he doing.
"Ahh! Look how ungrateful you are..."
He mocked.
"I saved you and you are disrespecting me like this... I thought you are a good girl Rosetta..."
His buttery voice was unfamiliar to her.
"How do you know me?..."
She asked.
"Who doesn't know you?... Daughter of great Damian knight... Your mother is quite famous too... Powerful lady, I like her..."
He replied.
Rosetta got irritated by his reply, she wanted to see his face. She tried again but he blocked her hand and pushed her away. She stumbled back.
"Ungrateful brat..."
He said shaking his head.
"You should respect my privacy..."
Rosetta rolled her eyes and attacked him. He easily blocked her attacks and within seconds she was on the floor hissing in pain.
"Tsk tsk, are you hurt princess?... Looks like mommy isn't giving you proper training... what a shame."
He mocked with fake worried voice.
Rosetta clenched her jaw angrily. She quickly stood up and attacked him again. He twisted her hand behind her back and slammed her against the wall.
Rosetta couldn't even move an inch, his grip was too tight and hard to break.
"Leave me"
She growled.
He twisted her hand again making her scream in pain.
"Ahhh!..."
it felt like he is trying to dislocate her shoulder.
"Look how delicate you are... Baby, go to the mommy and daddy for help. If you keep fighting with vlad like this then you will die soon..."
He was too close to her face. He inhaled her scent and she closed her eyes in frustration.
"It will be waste of such a beauty..."
"Mind your own fucking business..."
She snapped.
"Stubborn brat..."
He clenched his jaw. He pushed her aside making her stumble forward.
Rosetta grabbed her hand and tried to soothe it. She turned around to look at him but he was gone. She frowned, how can he disappear like he wasn't even there.
She couldn't understand who is he and what he wants? How he knows about Vlad? How he get here, was he following her? If yes, then why?
By his energy and voice he seemed to be young then how can be he so skilled. He was perfect like her mother. Rosetta couldn't even stand for a second in front of him.
She dusted her clothes and called Jackson.
"Can you take care of dead bodies?"
She asked.
"Of course... Where are you?... In office. How is skyler?"
He asked.
"I am going to him now. He should be fine but I have to make sure."
She answered while walking towards his office.
She reached to the entrance of the building but receptionist stopped her. She looked at her dirty clothes up and down. Her white hoodie was Dirty due to fight.
"How may I help you miss?"
Receptionist asked with scrutinizing gaze.
"I want to meet skyler"
Rosetta answered casually.
"Do you have appointment?"
Receptionist asked. Her expressions suddenly changed to mocking one.
"I am his wife"
Rosetta answered.
Receptionist burst out laughing.
"Sure... Every girl says the same but at least they weren't overconfident like you. Look at your clothes bitch... Get out don't waste my time. Boss doesn't have time for beggers like you..."
Rosetta closed her eyes angrily, she was already irritated by that man and sharpshooters. Skyler would be in danger at this moment and she Wants to be there before something happens but this stupid receptionist was wasting her time and disrespected her.
"I want to meet skyler, inform him that I am here..."
Rosetta gritted, she was furious.
"Listen bitch... Look at yourself, even our cleaners have high standards than you. Fuck off before guards throw you out..."
She scoffed.
"Guards throw this stupid bitch out before boss find out, otherwise he will fire me..."
She glared at Rosetta.
Guards came running towards her and saw Rosetta.
"Mrs. King, good afternoon..."
One guard greeted her and Receptionist looked at Rosetta in shock. All the colours from her face drained.
"Good morning, can you take me to the Skyler... His phone is busy.."
Rosetta asked trying to control her anger.
"Of course Mrs. King... Please, this way..."
He said.
"Ma'am..."
Receptionist called her, she was almost on the verge of crying. She was sure that she is going to lose the job.
"Please, I am sorry... Don't complaint about me... I couldn't recognise you"
Rosetta gritted her teeth and slapped her making her head aside. Everyone looked at them stunned but everyone was laughing silently. They all know how rude that receptionist is.
"Clothes doesn't matter, you should respect everyone inspite of their looks. Work on your language first..."
Rosetta snapped at her.
The guard led her towards Skyler.
"Mr. King is here in meeting room... It's about to start, you can go inside"
He informed.
"Thank you"
She thanked him and opened the door.
She entered inside and everyone looked at her. Meeting room was full of people. Skyler was sitting on the head chair like a boss he is. He seemed relax but was focused on the file he was reading.
He looked up as he heard door opening. His eyes fell on Rosetta who was standing at the door looking at him blankly.
She did came there but has no reason to give him.
Skyler closed the file and placed on the table while looking at her with frown.
He looked at her up and down and she looked like she came here after doing two three street fights.
She was mess.
