CHAPTER EIGHT
Yoongi was ramming all of the papers in his office while a guard entered entered his office. He looked at the guard, waiting for the report, and leaned back on his chair.
"What orders does the higher ups have?" Yoongi asked, raising an eyebrow. The guard slightly bowed at him.
"Alpha Jeon said that we need to hasten the attack in five days." He simply reported.
"Five days?" Yoongi's eyebrows furrowed, confused as to why there will be a sudden attack. He was at least expecting for the alpha to attack in two weeks or so.
"That's what Alpha Jeon ordered." The guard said firmly before Yoongi dismissed him out.
Yoongi rubbed his temples, thinking, why would Jungkook rush the attack when he basically recommended the pack to attack the palace three months ago but Jungkook was fast to disagree.
The Alpha even told Yoongi the reason why he can't attack yet, and that is because he wasn't confident enough. Yoongi knows—the whole pack does, that Jungkook had trouble shifting to his wolf form.
And then it hit Yoongi. Did Jungkook already formed to his wolf side?
He shook his head, trying to get such thoughts out and focus more on the attack in five days yet as he scanned his papers, something caught his attention, eyes widened. He grabbed it, opening it and noticed it was a report from one of the guards. It was an old report, actually.

"Isn't it ironic?" Yoongi chuckled bitterly, eyeing the old report as he eyed the name of someone he knows for a long time. "How you became your own enemy's Duke?"
Yoongi didn't leave his eyes on the report for a full minute and snapped out of his trance when another guard entered his office. It was the guard he sent to get secret information from the palace.
"Why didn't you knock?" Yoongi asked, frustrated, and the guard bowed in apology.
"I did, Beta Min." He responded politely. "And you told me to come in."
"I did?" Yoongi asked, even questioning his life, and the guard nodded making the beta just let the situation go.
"Alright." He huffed, putting the old report back. "Summarize the report here."
The guard bowed again as he started. "Three months ago, after Duke Kim Namjoon overthrown the former king, he imprisoned the other Dukes: Kim Seokjin, Jung Hoseok and Park Jimin. And the supposed future Queen flew out."
No wolves knew about Ha Na being the Vampire's former Queen since they've isolated themselves deep in the forest after the massacre. All that ever knew about Ha Na being the future Queen of the Vampire Race was Tía Caroline, Yoongi, and Jungkook.
Hence, with this report, Yoongi was taken aback. "And what happened to Taehyung?"
"He died." The guard responded, nonchalantly.
"He died?" His eyes widened, even remembering the night he met Taehyung.
The guard nodded before continuing. "After his death, the palace was surrounded by guards, and no one could easily get in. But as from what I gathered, the current King must've killed him already. No doubt."
Yoongi started to ponder. If Taehyung really died, why is Jungkook still pursuing the war even though he knows that the alpha doesn't even like being a leader of the pack—how much more if becoming a King of all races? If Jungkook won't be the King, who will be the one to sit on the throne? Would it be one of the Dukes?
Just why can't they sit back and just watch?
Is Jungkook doing this to reconcile both races? Yoongi sure hoped so. He just wished that Jungkook wouldn't have any other intention other than reconciling the whole races.
Yoongi let out a sigh. "What happened to the Dukes afterward? I'm pretty sure they weren't imprisoned only."
"That's what we were trying to find, Sir." The guard replied. "Duke Kim Seokjin was reported to be still in the palace, Duke Jung was said to have escaped along with Duke Park Jimin."
"Jimin?" Yoongi's throat suddenly became dry as his voice cracked at his name. "What about him? Where is he now?"
"There were no whereabout of the two Dukes, Sir." The guard shook his head. Yoongi nodded, leaning back on his chair.
"You can go n-now." The Beta suddenly stuttered making the guard confused but just went out of his office.
Yoongi's lips started to tremble at the thought of Jimin being in danger. His eyes started to get blurry, wondering, did he fail again? "Jimin, just where are you now?"
Yoongi was tired after all the plan for the war and decided to walk around. He went out of the office, rubbing his temples again with heart feeling heavy each second time. He turned around, suddenly seeing a flash of light and his eyes widened at the sight of the fragile boy crying in front of someone—it was him.
"Hyung...." The little boy cried. "I need to save her—my girl."
The memories still lingers in his mind. His mind couldn't forget the boy crying in front of him.
"What about us? What about mom and dad?" That was Yoongi's reply back then.
"We are werewolves!" His younger brother whined. "They will be fine! But my girlfriend is a human...I can't let them hurt her."
"Are you going to leave us?" Yoongi's voice cracked.
"I promise I will come back."
Another set of image appeared in front of him. It was the time where he was crying, his hands holding his mother and father's frail hands.
"Jimin, you promised you'd come back. Where are you? Mom and Dad are dying already. I'm a beta, Jimin. I can't rule the entire pack." Yoongi cried while he brought his parents hand together.
"Sir." Another wolf came behind him. "I came here to tell you that we have found your brother."
"Finally?" Yoongi stood up, eyes widened in happiness and surprise. "After a decade, we finally found him. Where? Where is he?"
"He became the Duke."
That was what he heard. Even at the end, Jimin never came to them nor tried to find them. Maybe because he completely forgotten them?
Thousand years passed, their parents died, never did Jimin approached them nor did Yoongi approached Jimin. His little brother became a Duke, knowing he himself is a werewolf who survived a vampire's bite, and Yoongi didn't want his brother to be killed just because he is a half werewolf. He hid the fact for thousand years just to protect his younger brother, Jimin.
And as for Jimin hiding his werewolf side made Yoongi wondered.
Yoongi changed his life, living his life like a human who changed his last name from Park Yoongi to Min Yoongi and fabricated his parent's names—even found his love of his life, Min Ha Na.
His steps were halted as soon as he smelled something familiar. Thousand years of not smelling the scent, now invaded his nose.
Park Jimin?
