CHAPTER FORTY TWO
KIM SEOKJIN’S PART 2 FLASHBACK
After a few hours, he woke up, leaning against the big tree. His eyelashes flattered open, feeling somehow weird as he kept hearing voices that should never be heard and murmurs that even a normal person couldn't hear.
He felt weird.
Seokjin screamed in agony as a strike of pain hit the side of his neck, and his eardrums are close to bursting out in any minute now. He tried to find the source of the noise by narrowing his eyes, and saw the young man who saved him and attacked the werewolves a while ago.
The young man was still fighting against the wolves while a girl followed along. Seokjin's eyes followed every movements of the man until his gaze fell back to the girl with a werewolf behind her, ready to attack.
"H-Hey!" Seokjin tried to scream but it turned out to be squeaked. It was too late. The girl has been brutally bitten by a werewolf and shrieked in pain. Seokjin doubt that the girl would live even after that.
The young man who tried to save Seokjin watched the girl in complete horror before he carried her in bridal style and let her sit right next to Seokjin. With that, the young man went back and in instant, he defeated all the wolves before he approached the two left with Seokjin who was quick to close his eyes.
The young man grabbed the girl and cried out for his somewhat beloved before another guy came into the scene.
"Save her, Jimin. You can save her. Only you can save her." The man who saved Seokjin begged the guy named Jimin, while holding the girl.
"I'm sorry, I can't..." The guy named Jimin answered, bitterly.
"Jimin!"
Seokjin was clueless and continue to close his eyes tightly, not wanting to disturb the two as he kept on listening to their conversation. His eyebrows furrowed as he heard mumbles of a man. He barely can't hear and it wasn't spoken verbally but rather in mind.
What is this? Seokjin was rather confused as to what is happening to him.
"Please Jimin-ah, I beg of you. She's your girlfriend, remember?!"
Damn. Why can't he save his own girlfriend? Seokjin mentally muttered.
By now, Jimin could have heard what Seokjin was saying but he was too busy with the drama between him and Taehyung.
"Not when you forced her to go to you, and made me a monster, Taehyung." Jimin's voice snapped at the man who saved Seokjin, known to be Taehyung.
What monster?
"Jimin! She's dying! Just save her now! Let's talk about that later, okay?!" Taehyung pleaded.
Just what is happening right now? Seokjin mentally yelled.
"Jimin!" Taehyung continue to yell for the other.
"Then die for her, Taehyung. If you really love her, you will be willing to sacrifice your life for her." The Jimin guy hissed back.
"Jimin?!"
"Turn her. But if you do, you will die. You can only turn someone into a vampire once a day and considering that you turned me into one today, you won't be able to."
A vampire? Vampires exists? Who am I kidding? My wife is a werewolf, of course vampires exists. Seokjin mentally huffed.
Jimin's voice chuckled bitterly. "You can't save her, Taehyung."
"That's why you will be the one to turn her into!"
Jimin guy let out a laugh in disbelief. " You really think I'd turn my—your woman into a vampire, Taehyung? I won't. If you really love her, then die for her."
Just what in the shit is happening? Whose woman? They're fighting over a woman? Seokjin panicked.
Jimin left the area but before that, he glance at Jin and confused as to why he was hearing mumbles from the man who is dead.
Is he alive? Jimin wondered and Seokjin surely heard it through his mind and panicked. Jimin just shook it off and speeds away from the area.
That man can hear me? Wait. How come I can hear that guy's thoughts? Jin panicked mentally.
He tried to peek a glance by opening his eyes a little bit and that, he witnessed another pack attacked again, leaving the girl leaning on the tree with the silver haired guy whispering.
"I will come back for you." And that, they left Jin with the girl dead by his side.
END OF KIM SEOKJIN’S PART 2 FLASHBACK
"Are you okay, hyung?" Seokjin was snapped out of his daze as Hanisha's face appeared in his mind—he was just thinking how he met Hanisha back then and how his wife died too.
Seokjin shook his head and smiled at the younger. "I'm fine. I just remembered her. She was sure a beauty, you know."
"She was..." Jimin sighed and looked down. "And now that she's back to me, I'm not going to waste any minute with her, hyung."
Seokjin looked at Jimin in worry because he didn't want the younger to be hurt again. He had doubts that Ha Na might not be his soulmate too but by the looks of it, he had to lie to comfort himself from the guilt he was swallowing, and lie for the younger from his lost love.
"But Taehyung's in love with her this time too." Seokjin sighed.
"I don't care. I just want to be with her." Jimin bit his tongue from the insides, eyebrows knitted together while playing with his fingers.
The elder couldn't help but just go along with the younger's decision. If that's what he wants, the elder will just give his way.
"And I just hope that no matter what will happen, you will save her this time. Don't be afraid, Jimin-ah. I'll be here as your hyung."
Jimin's expression softened, eyebrows now apart and looked at his hyung. "Thank you, Hyung."
The elder just nodded but then something hits his curiosity. "By the way, why did Taehyung let you out so easily?"
Jimin stopped his tracks, avoiding his gaze in which the elder finds it suspicious. The elder have known the younger for a thousand years and when Jimin lie, he would avoid eye contact from the other.
"Maybe he felt pity?" Jimin lied, biting the inside of his cheeks this time.
Taehyung told him not to tell Seokjin about it, and he had to shut up about this case. Jimin was hoping that Seokjin wouldn't hear it and gladly, he didn't. After all, he tried to suppress all his thoughts.
Jimin decided to take a quick glimpse at the elder before standing up. "Thank you again, Hyung. I won't forget this."
Seokjin chuckled, noticing how uneasy the younger is. "No problem. Now go."
Jimin nodded, and Seokjin just let the younger go with a lie sprouted from his mouth but instead of making it a big deal, he just let it off this time. He didn't even bother to read the younger's mind as he respects Jimin's decision.
However, just why did Jimin lied to him?
Jimin, on the other hand, went outside and was quite startled when he was greeted by Ha Na who appeared out of nowhere.
"Are you okay now, Jimin? Did Jin treated your wounds?" She asked, pain and worry filled her doe eyes.
Jimin nodded, and stared at his beloved for a moment. He wanted and needed this because he won't be able to feel nor see her for a moment of time. His hands travelled on her head, tugging her hair slightly forward before pulling her into a hug.
I might die if I don't succeed this time, Ha Na. Jimin internally cried as Taehyung's words filled his mind while he was hugging his woman in his arms.
'Don't tell Jin about it. If you fail your mission after letting your sins off, I won't hesitate to kill you even if you're my best friend.'
'I've already paid my sins for what I did way back then, right?'
And that, a tear slipped down his cheeks as he tightly embraced his soulmate before he set off to his journey to find the person who sent the letter.
