The shirt, clearly oversized in design but snug on her due to her curvy figure, fit tightly around the chest, giving her a casual yet oddly provocative look.
Naruto couldn't help but gaze at Hinata with a mix of tenderness and fascination.
Noticing his eyes drifting over her body, she smiled shyly without saying a word and slowly approached the bed. She climbed up gently, crawling toward him before curling up against his chest, letting out a soft sigh of relief.
Naruto kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her, feeling her completely relax in his embrace.
"I have to go back to the Hyūga Compound before sunset..." she said softly. "My father didn't like that I stayed over at your place... before marriage."
Naruto discreetly swallowed at her words.
Not because he was against the idea of marrying Hinata—far from it—but he felt it was still too soon to bring it up.
"Wasn't Hanabi supposed to cover for you?" he asked with a playful smile, changing the subject.
Hanabi had helped her sister sneak out the night before, distracting the guards long enough for Hinata to slip away unnoticed. In theory, her absence was supposed to go undetected for a few more days.
"Hanabi did what she could, but she couldn't keep up the act as long as we'd planned..." Hinata said, puffing her cheeks. "My father's been keeping a closer eye on me since the Chūnin Exams... ever since I beat Neji."
She lowered her voice.
"And I'm pretty sure it was that idiot uncle Hizashi who tipped him off about my disappearance..."
Naruto sighed, closing his eyes in resignation.
Ever since Hizashi had come back to life, he hadn't missed a single opportunity to make it clear he didn't see Naruto as worthy of Hinata.
Naruto was already thinking of a way to teach him a lesson.
After his training with Might Duy in the Pure World, not even the beating he got from Madara was enough to set him straight.
Suddenly, Hinata looked up at him, blushing.
"Since today's my last day here..."
She began drawing small circles on his bare chest with her finger, timid but bold at the same time.
Naruto raised an eyebrow, surprised by her sudden shift.
"Are you sure...?" he asked softly. "Last time we tried something ... you turned down the idea."
Hinata looked away, clearly embarrassed.
"I-it's just that... I think that's something only a husband and wife should do..."
Naruto nodded with understanding. He knew how strict the Hyūga Clan customs were, and he respected her choices. He was willing to wait however long she needed.
What mattered was that she felt comfortable when they took that step.
But then... what had changed?
Hinata, still blushing, looked back at him, visibly nervous.
Naruto saw a faint glimmer in her eyes, a spark of excitement.
"We... we can do other things instead."
Naruto stayed silent, surprised by her words, and watched as she, summoning her courage, slowly began sliding downward.
