In the past twenty years, Yan Chuan began his martial arts journey with ’Copper Bridge Iron Horse’, then moved on to ’Tiger Form Boxing’, ’Crane Form Boxing’, ’Thousand Pounds Fall’, ’Gongzi Fuhu Fist’, and ’Ten Forms Boxing’. Using these foundations and theories accumulated over twenty years, he could easily create the quite rudimentary ’Seventy-two Skills’ and devise techniques like the ’Tiger Crane Double Forms’ and ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’ based on ’Cheng Family Boxing’.
A series of self-created martial arts—
All of these are Yan Chuan’s accumulation, enabled by his ample knowledge and theory. With the help of "Derivation Skill", through the accumulation of inspiration bit by bit, he developed these martial arts.
This did not come out of thin air but has traces to follow.
But the ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’, this type of boxing—
Almost absorbed and fused the essence of ’Cheng Family Boxing’, this is the highest martial art of ’Cheng Family Boxing’, beyond which there is no further improvement.
At least based on the current foundation and in Yan Chuan’s present knowledge system, it’s hard to create a more exquisite boxing technique than ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’.

As Yan Chuan continues to learn and further his studies, broadening his knowledge system, accumulating from theory to practice, eventually, he’ll be able to create more powerful boxing techniques.

"Dragon, Tiger, Leopard, Crane, Snake, these are the ’Five Forms’."
"Inner Strength, Mind, External Skill, Fist, Leg, Grappling and Throwing, Body Movements, Vocalization and Breath, these are the ’Eight Techniques’."
Again this is a summary and categorization from another perspective of the ’Cheng Family Boxing’ system. Yan Chuan originally thought the ’Five Forms Eight Techniques Fist’ could surpass the ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’, but in the end, it was only ’Ren★’, just like the ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’, bringing little improvement to Yan Chuan.
"The potential of ’Cheng Family Boxing’ has been fully tapped by me, and on this foundation, at most, I can only create some intermediate and advanced boxing, top-level ones are difficult."

Previously when developing ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’, it took Yan Chuan only thirteen days to complete.
But this time, developing ’Five Forms Eight Techniques Fist’, first had feedback from Chen Ze, then with two weeks of feedback from people in ’Advanced Study Hall’, and finally got feedback from four top experts including Zhong Hui and Che Zheng, then finally gathered 100 inspiration.
It took eighteen days.
Much harder than the ’Six Harmonies Eight Techniques Fist’.
It can be imagined, in Yan Chuan’s current state, forcing the development of stronger boxing techniques will only be more difficult, take more time, and the martial arts gained may not necessarily improve much.
Instead of laboriously increasing the height, it is better first to broaden one’s breadth.

Specifically what to prepare, Yan Chuan already has a plan: "Qinggong comes first, as it is a life-saving method. Apart from this, ’Cheng Family Boxing’ and ’Cheng Family Spear’ are already bonded with me and my master and can be openly used but not for shady dealings."
If he doesn’t want his techniques to be recognized and traced back to him later on, Yan Chuan still needs a set of alternative combat and killing techniques to isolate from grievances and consequences.

As for another boxing technique, Yan Chuan already possesses one: he obtained the ’Six Sand Palm’ from Du Hanfeng whom he defeated last month. In terms of intricacy and power, it is not inferior to ’Cheng Family Boxing’. It’s ready-made for Yan Chuan, to use and train with, without needing to hastily develop it.
However, as for ’Qinggong’ and ’weapon’, Yan Chuan doesn’t have them and can only create them himself.

This is the lightweight skill founded by Mu Sang of the Iron Sword Sect in "The Deer and the Cauldron". It was later passed on to Jiu Nan Nun, who then passed it on to Wei Xiaobao. In "The Deer and the Cauldron", it is reputed as "the top light skill in the world". This Qinggong requires profound inner strength as a foundation to master.
Wei Xiaobao had no inner strength, so Jiu Nan could only teach him some body movement and stepping techniques that didn’t need an inner strength foundation from it. After mastering them, even Xu Tianchuan, who specialized in agile martial arts, couldn’t catch him, which indicates the wonderfulness of this skill.
