The door was suddenly pushed open, followed by Kristine holding a tray. She made her way towards us, settling the tray on the drawer beside me before turning to me.
"Get up and eat while it's hot" she commenced. However, my body was unable to move or much to say, I didn't try to move an inch. Her eyes grew small into a frown.
"You know what I'm capable of doing right? So better get your ass off that bed" By the tone of her voice tells me she's holding in her answer. Yet, I'm finding it difficult to lift up my body. Not because I'm weak but too lazy to.
Kristine was about to open her mouth to talk which I know won't be a pleasant one, Neil was quick in stopping her. Great!
"Take it easy Kristine. You know what? I'll help her. I know you must be tired" he said. My mouth almost broke into a smile at his statement. I can't believe he's making my plan working.
"What the-" She commenced again. This time around, it was my turn to halt her.
"Yes Kristine, I know you're sleepy. I'm sorry for waking you up in this late night" I ushered hoping she'll heed to my words. A hiss resonate out of her lips followed by her rolling her eyes.
"Whatever. I know you're doing it on purpose to spend some time together "
"You could say that" Neil ushered back playfully. Her eyes travelled to me back to him before making her way to the door. "Have a peaceful and enjoyable night" She uttered.
I know what her words meant and If I say my heart didn't skip a bit, then I would be lying. Before any of us could have a chance to reply her, she turned on her heels, pushing the door open and closed it with a loud thud. Enough to turn our ears deaf.
As soon as she left, Neil helped me up, pushing the tray in front of me. "Eat up" He said or much to say, he ordered. However, I didn't move an inch or try to. Only stare at him.
With one brow raised, he stares me down. "I can't. My body is weak" I uttered trying to play innocence. Yet, the guy in talk isn't ready to back off or needless to say, he doesn't seem to grab my words.
"But you'll only take the medication only if you eat something or don't you want to get better?"
"I do but..." My words suddenly came to halt.
"Oho! You're so clueless"
"Why?" He asked one his brows creasing more. At that situation, I might think he's not the Neil I know. He sound clueless. Closing my eyes for a milliseconds, I opened them again. Heaving out a sigh.
"Okay since you're being clueless, let me explain to you. You know in movies, when the woman is sick, the the man feeds her. Why? Because she cannot eat on her own due to the sickness. Don't you know?"
I blinked my eyes twice awaiting his reaction. Yet, none came only a confused expression. I puffed out an annoyed breath before reaching for the spoon.
What will expect? It's not like we're real couples. We are only acting based on the situation. This is reality we're talking about. I better get use to that.
I was engrossed in my thought when I felt a pair of warm hand on top of mine.
"Don't be angry. I was planning to do that already" He muttered enough for me to hear.
"Planing to do what?" I asked even though I knew what he was talking about. Still, I want to hear him say it.
"Eat up before it gets cold" He said his face turning serious. My mouth forms a thin line and I did as I was told.
"So local!" I muttered without him hearing. Slowly and gradually, I cleared out the bowl and took the medication. All of a sudden, the room grew quite. The only sound that could be heard is that of the clock tickling with each passing second together with my heart thumping on it's ribcage.
Neil was consciously way too close to me that I could feel his breath fanning my face. It's unlike me to behave the way I did. I know what I feel for Neil is something I didn't expect but as the saying goes, love finds you in an unexpected way. I just hope he feels the same way towards me like I do. I pray so.
"Pray? About what?"
"Hu?" I covered my mouth using my palms. Did I say it out loud.
"Nothing" I proceeded to get down from the bed when Neil did something I didn't expect from him. I found myself tangled into a warm body or preferably to say warm chest. The increase of my beating heart was visible to my ear. Yet, Neil was obviously calm. Am I the only one feeling it.
"Where are you going?" He asked in a husky voice enough to send shivers down my spine. I inhale in a deep breath before my body started relaxing. "Nowhere" I answered.
"How are you feeling now? Any pain?" He asked once again. I nodded my head instead.
When a silent prevailed, I decided to bring up the issue. "Do you think we'll be able to leave this place without any problems?"
His reply didn't come immediately like I expected instead, he turned me around the way I was facing him. "Trust me we'll leave this place very soon and you'll be with your family once again" As the word family left his lips, it made me curious.
"I don't if I should be happy or not. I mean it's not like my parents will be delighted to see me back. It-" My words came to an abrupt stop when Neil places his thumb on my chin staring at me intently. It was the kind of look that made me lost myself in the pool of his eyes. His eyes are alluring that I couldn't take my eyes off them. It was a new feeling to me.
"They're your parents why won't they be happy. Trust me they're worried" I don't know if he's saying that to comfort or just but some part of me wish it'll be true. If they're worried like he said, then why didn't they call for once to know how I was doing or how I'm coping with the unfamiliar environment.
I was engrossed in my thought when I felt him inch closer placing a small kiss on my forehead, down to the tip of my nose. He stopped and gaze into my eyes and I found myself lost in them once again.
"I love your eyes" I found my mouth saying without having a control of it. Snapping my eyes shut, I bite my bottom lip in embarrassment. Why do I have to say it out loud?
"And I love your lips" And that's what it takes for my heart to almost rip out of it's ribcage. I know he could hear the sound of my heart thumping by the smile that graced through his mouth. I have to admit I love his smile too but I'm not going to say that to add myself another embarrassment.
Wait.
Why should I be embarrassed when he's not? We're both saying our minds. I slowly opened my eyes landing them on him who was already looking at me with some kind of expression that I couldn't decipher.
"Fuck it!" I heard him say, before my mouth was covered with hiss into a hot sensational kiss. I didn't waste time in responding. Snuggling closer, I wrapped my arm around his neck, deepening the kiss. Nothing could be heard at that moment, only the sound of our moans and that of our beating heart. Neil's hands were secured on my waist while I held on to his shirt like my life depend on it. What started off slowly turned into a fast pace. My sickness was long forgotten as well as everything. The only thought in my mind was the moment we are in. The moment about us. I didn't care if what we're doing is wrong. I only know one thing for sure, that is I've fallen for Neil. I don't know what's in store for us in the future yet, I'd enjoy the time while it last.

The morning sunlight penetrate through the room, illuminating to my face. I snuggle more closer into Neil's body, feeling the warmth all over gain. The coldness I once felt long forgotten and that of the sunlight.
"Sleepy heads" I heard him whisper to my ear. The mere touch sending a familiar shiver down my spine.
"Good morning" I whispered back in a not so clear voice snapping my eyes open. Neil's eyes were still stood but a smile was curved up in his face.
"I know you're not sleeping so better open up your eyes" I ushered again using my hand to smack his eyes open. When I didn't hear any reaction from him, I used the chance to tickle him which made him snap his eye open. He was supposed to be the one smiling, instead tables turned on me and I was the one laughing as he tickles me. I tried to make a run for it but was being held tightly around his arms.
"Stop it Neil" I ushered amidst laughter. He halted his actions but didn't let go. All of a sudden, he inches his face towards me. Closing my eyes, I anticipate to feel the warmness on my lips. But someone decided to interrupt the moment. Someone who always finds a way to interrogate us with her gaze. Someone like Kristine.
"Good morning...." she trailed off her eyes walking their way on us. Pushing myself from Neil's body, I got out of the bed. "Yeah. Good morning Kristine" I answered forcing out a smile. God! Why does she have to spoil the moment? Just when I was about to get kissed.
"I see you've gotten much better. I must say Neil did a good job taking care of you all night" For some reason, I knew what her words meant. This is Kristine we're talking about. "But-" before she could have the chance to continue her blabbering's again, I held her hand leading us out of the room. To save myself from any embarrassment.
"Did I say anything wrong?"
"Can you keep your voice down" I said through gritted teeth.
"Whatever. Anyway how are you feeling now. Mr. Micheal has an urgent issue to take care of, so he had to leave early. You can go for the checkup later" She explained. I heaved out a sigh of relief. I'm glad she decided to drop the topic. I know how nagging Kristine can be.
"I'm feeling much better now. The soup and the medication helped" We made our way towards the dining. The aroma of freshly cooked food beat through my eardrum. My stomach made a growl sound just in time.
"Rest assured your tummy would be filled now" Kristine uttered patting my stomach. Opening the lid that was covered on the plate, the aroma immediately over power my sense of smell. Freshly made paste with meatballs surfaces before my eyes.
"Dig in" I didn't waste time as my stomach is already crying out of hunger.
"Easy dear. Nobody is snatching your food away. I've already eaten mine you know" she remarked heaving out a sigh.
"What for?" I asked
"Nothing. Go on. Eat your food"
I didn't talk or attempted to until I feel my stomach could not occupy any food. Reaching for the glass of water, I gulped it down immediately. "I must say Mr. Michael is a good cook" I exclaimed.
"Yeah. He won't allow me to help him"
I lazily rise up to a standing position. "Let me freshen us then we leave for the hospital"
"Alright. Don't stay too long" I. Knew it. She'll tease me to her heart content today. I don't think I would put anything in my stomach through out today.
