The next morning, Lisa woke up feeling excited and leaving Marya behind, she set to go for shopping, hoping to get everything set up in her shop. She needed a table and a chair for her small office at the back. Again, she needed a counter, where she would have a receptionist stationed. Although she knew for now, she would have to work as the receptionist. She needed to search for workers as she could not do all the work by herself. Looking at the leaflet that contained all the plans for the wedding she was organizing. They had already paid a part of the amount, which she could not believe was almost ten thousand dollars. This was the beauty of handling plan for rich people.
Everything had to be done perfectly. Setting out, she got what she needed and printed a paper that advertised her need for male and female workers. For now, she had to acquire the tents needed to make the place beautiful. Starry lights were also needed. She needed to prepare everything as she only had a month before the main day and if she did not prove competent, she would have herself to blame. Whistling she walked to her shop and then started doing a few adjustments here and there.
Thankfully as she was there, she got a ring on the door and a young Italian masculine guy came in. he was toned alright and handsome as hell yet he looked pretty young. Smiling at her, she felt her heart race, not with desire, but with awe at his beauty and utter sexuality. Talking with him for a while, she realized that he was looking for work and his knowledge with tents proved useful. And so, she had her first hire. Feeling excited, she gave him a date for reporting and went on to close the place.
She also had to start looking into a suitable school for her daughter. She was already a big girl and brilliant. She needed to study. So, she took that time from the shop to look into schools around her that were perfect. As of now, she could not afford expensive schools and neither did she want her daughter to grow up a spoiled brat. Her mind working fast, it was already dark by the time she came in to the house, exhausted and excited. Right now, her mind was on getting her own place, and the fact that she needed a car if she was to be dropping her daughter off at school.
Removing her coat, she hanged it on the hooks at the door, while removing her shoes. Right now, her feet were aching and her back too. She just wanted to soak in hot water in the tub and just relax. Marya and Alex were in the dining room, waiting for her. so, when she got in, Marya was quick to call her. She went on and hugged them both while kissing their cheeks. “Let me have a quick shower and then I’ll join you guys for supper. I’m supper famished.” The idea of a long bath dumped, she went to the bathroom and quickly washed off the sweat and the dirt from within her. wringing her hair to drain off the excess water, she picked a crop top, and a short to just relax into the night.
And relax she did. Disusing the steps that she had taken with Alex, she took care not to mention looking for her own house because she knew her friend would not be up to the idea yet. The dinner had been ordered because Lexi was really a bad cook. The only thing she could at least make well was boiled water. Laughing as they shared their meal, she felt her heart swelling. These were the people that mattered to her, all together, her dad included. She was happy. Yet the hole in her heart was growing larger with time.
Thinking of all the work that awaited her, it excited her to accomplish something on her own. And also felt good because she would have something to keep her mind away from Omar. She was thankful that things were going on well. She had asked Lexi, to help her set a website for her work, where she would post pictures of the wedding decorations that she had done. Being in Hawaii had made for a difference in decorations, the wedding decors influenced by their traditions. They usually had flowers around their places, so natural. Most of the weddings she had organized had been on the sea or rather on the beaches. Here, she could feel her blood thrumming at the challenge.
Omar walked to his office feeling stressed. He had been trying his very best to convince Mr. qin that he was the right person to get the tender even though the guy was proving hard to convince. Things had been going a little bit better before tabloids splashed his name with pictures of his ex with him. He had been holding her, supporting her as she looked faint. He wondered how Lisa would feel seeing her picture sprawled all over the media like that.
He did not get why they had even taken so long to post the picture but now, he wished he had not touched her. did he. They talked of him being unstable and reverting back to his old girlfriend. Was he thinking of even being with her? God no, he knew there was no way they would be together. So, when he met with Mr. qin, he stupidly admitted that he was now dating her. how stupid was he. Now he was wondering how the hell he would get her to work with him to help him get the tender.
