Sean kissed my forehead when I woke up in the morning, I smiled sleepily.
“Wake up, sleeping beauty, I have to go to work now.” Sean caresses my cheek with the back of his fingers, I close my eyes and try to get up from my lying position.
“This early?” I asked after looking at the alarm clock on the nightstand, it’s only 7 in the morning.
“I have a meeting at the office and breakfast there,” he replied and I nodded.
“I’m going to my mom’s house today,” I tell, Sean nods and smiles.
“Sam will take you.”
“No, I’m taking my Audi,” I refused.
“Don’t start again, Ariana.”
I frowned, why does he always want to fuss over trivial things??
“Sean, I’m just going to mommy’s house in my Audi, I should be the one saying don’t start again.”
Sean took a deep breath and nodded.
“Drive carefully,” he said, and I was grateful that he had no intention of starting any argument so early.
“I want us to have lunch together this afternoon,” he said again before he left I nodded in agreement, Sean again kissed my forehead and then my lips, I stole the opportunity to deepen our kiss. The fresh scent of a Sean Al Abraham was like heavenly scent to me, I was breathless after our kiss.
“Don’t tease me, honey, or I won’t be leaving for work,” he said with his golden eyes radiating wild and hot passion. I smiled apologetically and let go of my embrace, Sean got up from his seat, he looks very handsome with a dark blue suit that fits his body combined with a tie that matches his suit.
“See you later, honey, I love you,” he said which made my blood boil, I smiled broadly at that expression. He left me alone in our room with my silly smile still on my face. My memory flashed back to three o’clock in the morning a few hours ago, after our hot romance in the kitchen, he confessed his love for me. I hugged myself tightly because of the feeling of happiness that I can’t describe. I smile with happiness inside me, how cute he is, professing love in the kitchen. I giggled at the memory.
My cell phone rings while I’m drying my hair with the hairdryer, it’s from Caroline.
“Hey, where are you?”
I’m glad she called me, I’m curious about her engagement preparations with Andrew.
“At your house, where are you?”
“Still at the apartment, I’ll be there in a minute,” I said and our conversation ended. I put on a dark blue dress with a wide neck model that slightly exposed my shoulders, then put on five centimeters of higheels, I put my ipod and handsfree into my handbag, not forgetting my cell phone.
I arrived at mom’s house a few minutes later, it was still breakfast time when I got there, just my mom and Caroline.
“Hi darling.” Mama came over to me and hugged me affectionately, I smiled enjoying her brief comfortable hug.
“Where’s Ron?” I asked looking at Caroline, I sat in the chair across from her, next to Mom.
“He is having business with his professional friends,” answered Caroline nonchalantly, I furrowed my brows, I don’t know what Ronald is currently doing.
“Ron what’s busy right now?” Curious, I reached for a piece of bread then spread my favorite peanut butter chocolate, then bit one end.
“Photography, looks like he’s been doing that for three years and now he’s going to be signed to Victoria Secret.”
I nodded and was amazed at Ronald’s career achievements, he’s a talented man.
“That’s amazing,” I complimented, Caroline snorting.
“That would make his predatory nature even wilder, you know what a Victoria’s Secret model is like.” Caroline rolled her eyes, I chuckled, Ronald is famous as the favorite playboy among women, even though he is a playboy, but many women are waiting in line to be his girlfriend, my Inner goddess rolled her eyes, except for me.
“How is Sean? Are you all right?” asked mom, I smiled brightly and nodded excitedly.
“Are you guys planning to have kids?” The question choked me up as I sipped my chocolate milk. This is a topic I don’t want to discuss with Sean, I don’t know and I’ve never asked this. Our relationship has just started and I think it’s too early to talk about this.
“I haven’t discussed that with him,” I say honestly, I go back to the bread and spread peanut butter on it.
“Honey, you better talk about it soon, you are married and I think it’s a natural thing,” said Mama, I was just silent thinking about this discussion. Child?? Maybe not so bad, but for now I feel like getting to know Sean better first.
“How was your engagement party preparation, Caroline?” Mama changed the topic, and I feel saved, I’m not ready to talk about the topic to anyone even I haven’t discussed it with myself.
Caroline told the details of the party later, I don’t think she invited many people, just our family and Andrew’s family. I took Caroline to my old room after breakfast, mom went to her boutique.
“What happened to the rich handsome lord?” asked Caroline to begin her interrogation. We lay on my bed with our feet dangling over the side of the bed.
“He confessed his love to me last night, after we had hot sex in his kitchen,” I say which makes me blush every time I think about it.
“You look changed, Ana, you look more mature, he must have exhausted you from having to make love to him every time.”
I turned to look at Caroline with a surprised look for a moment then I rolled my eyes, Caroline chuckled.
“I am pregnant.” The news stopped my breath for a moment, I got up from my lying position and looked at him.
“Are you serious??” I asked in disbelief and wanted to make sure. Caroline nodded while biting her lip, she looked worried and doubtful but then she smiled.
“This is new for me and Andrew too but we are happy with this” he said with a happy smile I don’t know what to feel but I really haven’t thought about this.
“When do you want to have children, Ana?” Caroline’s question confused me, my Inner Goddess looked brooding on her red sofa looking up, as if expecting an answer from the sky.
“I don’t know Carrie, Sean and I haven’t discussed this yet but I think it’s still too soon for us.”
“Maybe with the presence of a child your relationship can be built quickly.”
I thought about what Caroline said, maybe there was some truth to it, but I still had my doubts about myself.
“I still want to get to know Sean better, he....” I stopped to think of the right words.
“He’s a broken man,” I said and hoping that was the right line, Caroline frowned deeply.
“What do you mean he’s broken?”
My mouth and throat suddenly went dry, should I tell what the man had said? Should I tell Caroline about it?? I don’t want his flaws to be known by others. My Inner Goddess looked at me with her sharp gaze and shook her head slowly.
“He’s complicated, Carrie, I still need to get to know him well, and I need to be able to help him come out of his past,” I said the last sentence in my mind. We both breathed heavily at almost the same time, there are things that I can’t share with Caroline, even though I consider her like my sibling, but everyone has their own limits in my life, and I only allow one person to be able to see into my soul at most. Within and with me share all things, including my deepest secrets. I think I have chosen Sean as that one person because he is the one who owns my heart right now.
“Don’t be too hard on him as well as on yourself, you both have to let go of your ego to make your relationship progress.”
I was stunned, Sean and I might have to try that, let go of our ego for the betterment of our relationship.
“Good solution, Midwife Mrs,” I said with a smile showing my teeth, Caroline glaring at me and pinching my waist, I jumped a little from my sitting position.
