Overlord: Ancient one Chapter 100

As I surveyed the battlefield from my vantage point atop Nazarick, a swirl of conflicting emotions roiled within me, leaving me uncertain and unsettled. For so long, I had prepared for this moment, honing my skills and amassing my forces in anticipation of the coming conflict. And yet, now that the war was upon us, I found myself grappling with a sense of unease that I could not shake. Was it fear? No, that could not be it. I am Ancient One, feared nothing and no one. And yet, there was an undeniable sense of trepidation gnawing at the edges of my consciousness, a nagging doubt that whispered of uncertainty and doubt. Was it guilt? Guilt for the lives that would be lost in the coming battle, for the blood that would stain my hands and the hands of my enemies alike? Perhaps, but that too felt insufficient to explain the turmoil within me. Or perhaps it was something else entirely, something deeper and more primal than mere fear or guilt. Perhaps it was the weight of responsibility, the knowledge that the fate of nations hung in the balance, resting upon my shoulders alone. But even as I grappled with these conflicting emotions, there was a part of me that reveled in the chaos of war. A part of me that thirsted for battle, for the thrill of combat and the sweet taste of victory. My demon side. [It's seems like you're worried, Sir.] Friday asked. A wry smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I turned to face Friday, my ever-faithful companion and confidante. "Worried, you say? No, my dear Friday, not worried. Merely... contemplative." "I always wanted do cool things, fighting against the odds, defying destiny itself. And here I am, in the midst of a war that will shape the course of history. It's exhilarating, in a way. Like being a character in one of those epic tales I used to read as a child." Friday regarded me with her usual stoic expression. [You always did have a flair for the dramatic, Sir.] I chuckled at her observation, the tension of the moment momentarily forgotten. "Guilty as charged, my dear Friday. But what is life without a little drama, a little excitement?" But even as I relished in the thrill of battle, a small voice in the back of my mind reminded me of the cost of war. The lives lost, the families shattered, the futures destroyed because of my single wish. I could hear the voice of people, voice of their shattered dreams, their hope shattering due because of my choose. But even as the voices of the fallen echoed in my mind, I felt nothing, like an empty vessel because of my doppelganger side. Should I be happy with the fact that, I don't have to feel guilty about the outcome of my choice or should I be disgusted about the fact that I am not talking the responsibility of my choice. But even as doubt threatened to consume me, a steely resolve began to take root within my heart. I had chosen this path, and now I would see it through to the end, no matter the cost. For better or for worse, I was committed to my cause, and I would not falter in the face of adversity. Because I am Ancient one, The True Evil. Different side of battlefield As Bors and Crimson launched their sneak attack on Aurora, the air crackled with tension. Aurora, the strongest NPC in Nazarick, stood her ground, her eyes flashing with defiance. "You think you can take me down with your cowardly tactics?" Aurora spat, her voice laced with contempt. "You're nothing but weaklings, hiding behind your cheap tricks." Crimson's eyes narrowed, his lip curling into a sneer. "Watch your tongue, little girl," he growled. "You may be powerful, but you're no match for the might of the Great Gods." Aurora laughed, a sound that sent shivers down their spines. "Is that so? Well, let's see if you can back up that big talk with some action." With a swift motion, Aurora lunged forward, her sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Bors and Crimson scrambled to defend themselves, but Aurora's blows were relentless, each strike leaving a trail of blood in its wake. Blood sprayed through the air as Aurora's sword found its mark again and again, cutting through flesh and bone with terrifying ease. Bors and Crimson fought back with all their strength, but it was clear that they were outmatched. "Is that all you've got?" Aurora taunted, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I expected more from the so-called 'Great Gods'." Crimson's face flushed with anger, his attacks growing more desperate as Aurora pushed him back. "You insolent wretch!" he snarled. "I'll show you the true power!" But Aurora was unfazed, her movements fluid and graceful as she danced around Crimson's attacks. With a final, decisive blow, she sent him crashing to the ground, defeated. Bors watched in horror as his comrade fell, knowing that he was next. But Aurora showed him no mercy, her sword plunging into his chest with a sickening crunch. As Bors fell to the ground, his lifeblood pooling around him, Aurora stood victorious over her fallen adversaries. "Weaklings," she muttered, her voice dripping with contempt. "You never stood a chance against me." And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving Bors and Crimson to die alone on the blood-soaked battlefield. For in the end, it was Aurora who emerged victorious, her pride and strength shining brighter than ever before. Bonus chapter for 100 ps. Enjoy. How was the chapter?
