VR will just pull the trigger when Orni took away the gun from his hand and pointed it at her head. Everything happened so fast that VR couldn't understand anything. But, his whole blood turned cold seeing Orni pointing the gun at her.
" Angel, drop the gun," VR said cautiously trying to get close to her.
Orni replied going backwards," I am not a murderer like you. I don't want you to die because of me. It would be better if I die. It's better dying than living with a despicable person like you."
" Stop this madness, Angel!! Have you thought about Roman & Rion before uttering these words?" VR lashed out at Orni.
She screamed back with the same intensity," Then, what do you want me to do? Stay here like your puppet? Huh!! I loved you, I trusted you but in return what did you give me? Except for pain did you give me anything else?"
" I loved you too and I will love you forever," VR tried to convince her.
Orni answered letting out a sarcastic chuckle," If you truly loved me then you would have let me go instead of kidnapping me & keeping me here like a prisoner."
" I can't tolerate you. I can't even tolerate breathing in the same air as you. I want to be free. I want to be free from you. No matter how many days or how many years you keep me here I won't accept you back. Neither I can kill you nor you will leave me. It's better if I give up on my life. I am fed up living here with you," Orni screamed at the top of her lungs.
VR replied with the same intensity," And, I can't let you die. Once I failed to save you but not again. You told me to kill myself, right? I am ready to do that. No one will accuse you of murdering me. It's my redemption. If you feel disgusted breathing in the same air as me then it should be me who should stop breathing. Not you."
Saying that he snatched the gun from her hand and pointed it at him. A gunshot echoed through the whole area but nobody was killed. Orni pushed VR's hands that he missed the gunfire.
" What do you want? I am ready to do anything for your happiness. Why aren't you understanding this simple thing?" VR yelled at Orni's face who was looking nervous.
Finally, Orni voiced out," I want you to surrender to the police."
VR took down the gun after hearing her. For the next few seconds, he just stared at her face shockingly. It took a few minutes for him to understand what she just said.
" Are you scared that the police will show you your actual place? You know what you can make petty promises only and fake claims of loving me. That's why you are stunned to hear my demands. Where did your proud words go that you will do anything for me?" Orni asked mockingly.
VR was silent after hearing her. He wasn't a fool to not understand what she wants. She wants him to rot in jail and gets tortured by police just like he tortured her. She wants him to go through the same pain that she went through.
" You could have told me clearly what you want," VR said letting out a chuckle.
Before Orni could say anything further he grabbed her shoulder tightly. She yelled to leave her but he didn't leave her.
" I will surrender on one condition," VR said while Orni looked at him questioningly.
VR started to explain by looking directly into her eyes," I know why you told me to surrender to the police. When I will surrender, the police will bring me under justice. They will open all the old cases. Once the cases are opened I will get the death penalty for sure. That's what you want, right? You want me dead but not before going through pain and humiliation. "
" If you are understanding then why do you bother to ask me? I know you won't surrender. It's just your another fake word that you will do anything for me. You are just a selfish person. Nothing else," Orni answered back but VR can feel the taunt in her voice.
Tightening his hold on her soft flesh he said," Then, you have to promise me something. I will surrender if you promise me something."
" What promise?" She asked suspiciously.
VR responded," You have to promise me that you will never marry nor you will get involved with another man ever. Even if I get the death penalty or life imprisonment you won't marry again and if I don't get a death penalty you will accept me once I return from jail."
" What kind of rubbish demands are these?" Orni let out a wriggling in his arms.
VR replied looking at her possessively," You are mine. You will remain mine even if I die. Your body, mind, soul everything belongs to me."
Orni was silent for some time. She never imagined that he will ask for something like this. After thinking for some time she decided to agree with him for now. Who cares about his silly promises? The only thing matters to her are that she wants to go home. To her parents.
" Fine. I promise that I will never marry nor I will be involved with other men. The only man in my life will be you," Orni promised having no other choices and a satisfied smile formed at the corner of her lips.
Suddenly, VR pulled her into a tight hug. She tried to free herself from him but he didn't let her go. He felt peace holding her in his embrace while she only felt disgusted by his touch. He kissed her head gently but Orni pushed him away from her.
" Call my brother right now," Orni shouted sounding pissed off.

" Ma," Orni cried out hugging Srilekha tightly.
Srilrkha cooed in Orni's ear," Shh.... baby..... Don't cry. It's ok."
" I missed you so much. I thought I will never meet you again," Orni hiccuped in her mother's embrace.
Orni returned to her family while VR surrendered to the police. He called Shivansh and told him to take Orni back to her family. He gave his address and of course, Shivansh didn't come alone. He brought the police with him. When the police arrested VR he just surrendered silently. Shivansh was stunned to see VR's behaviour but didn't give that much attention since his only concern was Orni & her children. He is glad that they are safe and sound.
" That bastard didn't abuse you again, right?" Sanjay asked gritting his teeth.
Orni assured holding his hands," He didn't dare, Papa."
Sanjay replied sounding vulnerable," You won't believe how much depressed we were. How many sleepless nights we spent!! I am glad that you are safe and sound."
" By the way, you said that he surrendered. How did this miracle happen?" Srilekha asked curiously.
Orni answered having a blank expression on her face," He surrendered on my wish. He said he will do anything for me."
Saying all these Orni returned to her room and shut the door. Remembering his promises Orni felt disturbed. What if he really returns to her life again?
" It was just a silly promise, that's it!!" Orni whispered rubbing her chest to soothe her racing heart.
On the other hand, VR was sitting inside the jail and staring at the wall blankly. Neither he is sad nor he is happy. The only thing he knows is that he deserves all this. After what he did to her, he deserves punishment. Brutal punishment.
He knew that very soon he is going to be presented in front of the jury. He knows that except death penalty he will get nothing once he confesses his crimes. He was lost in his thoughts when he heard some hustling and bustling outside. He couldn't hear properly until he pressed his ear on the wall.

Ranvijay Mehra ko Ajad karo ( Release Ranvijay Mehra)"
VR heard people protesting for him. The arrest of famous artist Ranvijay Mehra came to the limelight again when he surrendered. Some of his fans spread a rumour that Orni is the culprit who is behind his arrest. Orni fake claimed that she was kidnapped and raped by Ranvijay. It became a trending topic on social media. There were mixed reactions from Ranvijay's fans. Some believed that he is actually VR and some didn't. But, eventually Orni's name was tainted by all these.Along with Shivansh. Some people even accused Shivansh that he framed Ranvijay because of his jealousy over his ex-wife who was none other than Ranvijay's wife.

Hearing all of them yelling Ranvijay's name VR felt extremely guilty. Ranvijay loved him truly though they were stepbrothers. He wondered what he did for his brother. Did he really deserve that genuine love from Ranvijay?
VR was lost in his thoughts when he felt a tall figure appearing in front of him. He looked frontwards only to meet Shivansh. A constable opened the gate for Shivansh though it was illegal. But, everything is possible when money is flaunted.
" You?" VR asked with confusion.
Shivansh replied smirking," I can't explain how much good I am feeling after seeing you in this empty, dark and cold cell."
" You have personal enmity with me. I know that. Orni isn't the only reason behind this hatred in your heart for me," VR said and the next moment he fell on the ground because of the punch on his face.
Straddling over VR, Shivansh said angrily," Yes. I hate you. Because you dared to marry my wife and even convinced my daughter that you are her father!! No matter how much I try to make her realize that I am her biological father, she keeps calling your name. You even used them as pawns to get Orni! Bastard!"
" Which wife are you talking about? The wife whom you left on the road. She was 8 months pregnant. Vulnerable, out of money & shelter and emotionally broken. If I didn't marry Niyati then you would have never met your daughter," VR hissed at Shivansh.
Before Shivansh could say anything further VR continued saying," You are no better than me. Have some gratitude towards me that I saved your family. I hated you but I jerked away all the malice against you when I got to know that you saved Orni."
" Don't even take her name with that filthy mouth of yours!!" Shivansh growled in VR's face.
VR ignored Shivansh and then pushed him away. Standing on his feet he wiped away the blood using the back of his hands. He shared a heated glare with Shivansh who was fuming in rage.
" I will make sure you get the death penalty," Shivansh said with determination and then stormed outside.
