Electric arcs danced on his skin, and his powerful muscles, honed to perfection, were on full display. They rippled with barely contained energy, like tempered steel, radiating an aura of invincibility.
Sweat dripped from his brow, but Arthur didn't bother to wipe it away. He was completely focused on controlling the lightning that coursed through his body.
His frame, once merely strong, now quivered with barely restrained power, the subtle vibrations escalating into tremors. His veins bulged, pulsing like angry serpents beneath his skin.
Initially, he had planned to use the same current he'd used on the Skypiean criminals to strengthen his body. But he discovered that the intensity was practically negligible, barely scratching the surface. So, with a surge of determination, he had drastically increased the current output.
The arcs morphed into crackling snakes of lightning, and Arthur's muscles swelled.
Half an hour later, the transformation subsided. This latest internal organ strengthening had been a complete success.
Exhaling deeply, Arthur jumped into a tub to wash himself clean.
"Good thing I spent ten months experimenting. If I hadn't gotten to know my internal organs so well, this could have been dangerous."
He was still shaken by the recent experiment, but mostly, he was thrilled. It was a stroke of genius to use others for his experiments, saving him from a potentially fatal outcome.
"Strengthening my internal organs has made a noticeable difference in my power!" Arthur clenched his fist, feeling the surging power within. He felt a dizzying sensation—as if he could shatter Sky Island with a single punch.
"Maybe one day, when my organs are strong enough, I can exhale and it'll be like a sword, and a mere huff will kill a man?" He grinned, looking forward to the possibilities.
To celebrate his success, Arthur decided to indulge in a celebratory drink while taking a bath.
In his previous life, he had enjoyed alcohol, but since his rebirth, he hadn't touched a drop. But now, there was no helping it. As his body grew stronger, he would probably have to drink constantly, becoming a full-blown alcoholic.
After all, alcohol was the essence of grains, packed with energy. Arthur couldn't possibly carry around mountains of food while he sailed the seas, could he?
He stood up from the tub, wiped away the water droplets, and a constant smile played on his lips. From now on, every part of his body could be strengthened simultaneously. He would grow stronger every day. The title of the Strongest Creature was within his grasp.
Dressed—Arthur cheerfully left the temple, ready to explore Upper Yard, a place he had arrived at almost a year ago but had never truly seen.
"Lord God, you're out?" Constance had been waiting outside the temple. Seeing Arthur, he immediately approached.
"How is the modification progress on the 'Ark - Thunder God'?" Arthur led the way out of the temple, his hands clasped behind his back. He wanted to see the Golden Bell and the ancient Poneglyph.
"Lord God, we found the descendants of the man who designed the Waver centuries ago. His shipbuilding skills are among the best on Sky Island. I believe it will be completed soon!" Constance bowed his head respectfully.
"Hmm, there's no rush." Arthur nodded. He had seen the original design of the Ark Maxim and found its appearance utterly hideous. So he had drawn a new design himself, based on an Aircraft carrier from his past life.
However, changing the Ark's established appearance would inevitably require alterations to the internal structure and component placement. That was why the construction of the Ark had been delayed until now.
Walking on the cloud path, Arthur gazed at the area ahead, shrouded in mist. He didn't see the Golden Bell or the Poneglyph as he had expected.
"What is this place? Where is the Golden Bell?"
Constance was confused. "Lord God, I've never been here before. I'm not sure. As for the Golden Bell... I've never heard of such a thing on Sky Island!"
"You don't know?" Arthur frowned.
He vaguely remembered a place where the displaced Shandians lived.
Perhaps it was in that misty area?
With this thought, Arthur activated his Observation Haki, scanning the misty area.
In the mist, as Arthur suspected, there was indeed a small village.
At this moment, about twenty Shandians, armed with weapons, were sharpening their blades, preparing to attack the Temple again.
They were almost indistinguishable from the Skypieans, both having white wings and wearing peculiar shoes for gliding on clouds.
"In the name of the Great Warrior Kalgara, I, Vidar—will lead our people to reclaim Upper Yard and erase the shame of our ancestors' expulsion!" A dark-skinned, mohawked young man with a long braid solemnly declared.
He held a bazooka and a shield. His face was marked with terrifying tattoos, and his eyes were sharp.
"Erase the shame, Reclaim Upper Yard!"

The Shandians behind him roared in unison, their eyes filled with unyielding hatred.
"Vidar, I heard that something major happened on Upper Yard recently. This might be our chance." A similarly shirtless young man said gravely.
He wore red-rimmed glasses, carried a blue skateboard, and had a long sword at his waist.
"Kaminari, don't be careless! This could be a trap set by Gan Fall to lure us in!"
"Regardless, we must reclaim Upper Yard this time and make the Golden Bell truly ring, fulfilling our ancestors' 400-year-old agreement!"
"Kill all the Skypieans! Ring the Golden Bell!"
Their speed was incredibly fast. The skateboards were faster on the cloud paths than a person running at full speed. They moved through the forest, about to emerge from the mist.
"Reclaim Upper Yard? How laughable..." Arthur smiled coldly. Upper Yard was now his territory. How could he allow others to interfere?
"It seems the modified Ark might face a shortage of gold. If I melt down the Golden Bell and those gold pieces, it should be about enough."
Arthur didn't care if they were innocent or not. Being robbed of their home was simply a matter of strength.
The Shandians' ancestors were useless—Now Upper Yard was in his hands. There was no way he would return it.
To avoid endless future trouble, he decided to bury the Shandians on the island they dreamed of.
"Divine Judgment - Rain of Thunder!"
Arthur extended his palm. A ball of lightning flew into the clouds. The clear sky instantly turned dark. Bolts of lightning snaked through the clouds.
Rain of Thunder was an enhanced version of Enel's Thunderstorm. Arthur could use it to bombard any area within his Observation Haki's range. It was the perfect move for large-scale battles.
"What's going on?" The advancing Shandians were stunned by the sudden change. One moment it was sunny, and the next, the sky was dark.
After a moment of brewing, the dark clouds suddenly rained down a dense barrage of lightning bolts!
The dozens of Shandians were terrified, unable to understand why lightning was falling on them...
"Constance, go back and tell the God's Militia to enter the mist and move all the gold near the temple!"
Arthur casually wiped out the Shandians and turned to leave.
