Manda's emerald eyes were full of confusion as it struggled to speak. Under the influence of the Mangekyō's Yin Release chakra imprint, its mind gradually dulled.

Stunned, the Uchiha, Nonoyu, and Kimimaro stared at Yu's back, but quickly followed his orders and began eating the pills.
The group of enemy shinobi who had just launched a fierce assault now stood dazed in the fast-growing Wood Release forest, their pupils glowing red.
"I think… I understand now,"
Nonoyu murmured, her misty eyes trembling as she stared ahead.
She guessed that Yu had probably borrowed their chakra to resist that second wave of attacks—
—and turned the hopeless situation around.
His ocular powers were terrifying beyond belief.
At the forest's edge…
Yu removed his hood, revealing his face to the freezing rain. He raised his black blade, stepped over the remains of Wood Release vines, and calmly walked toward the massive army of shinobi still gathered down the slope.
The manipulated ninja around him, their pupils glowing red, could only watch helplessly as Yu passed them by, moving toward the others.
It's over. It's all over!
No one would come to save them.
A range of emotions surged in the hearts of the shinobi.
Yu's eyes were calm. One man, one blade, walking through the downpour—every step he took down the slope caused the enemy shinobi to retreat further.
He passed by Manda, still as a mountain.
Yu didn't spare it a glance.
Normally, even if Yu drained all the chakra from the Uchiha around him, he still couldn't control a summon of Manda's caliber instantly.
Manda, Gamabunta, and Katsuyu—these three summoning beasts were the strongest across the three great sacred lands. Their spiritual strength and chakra levels were just below Tailed Beasts but far beyond ordinary summons.
At this moment, Yu had absorbed chakra from over 1,500 ninja and used a portion of it to imprint Manda.
Now, those 1,500 shinobi—along with Manda—had become mobile chakra reservoirs for Uchiha Yu.

Tsunade and Jiraiya noticed Manda's unusual condition and sensed that Yu had briefly glanced their way.
They looked at Orochimaru.

"Uchiha Yu… is extremely dangerous,"
Jiraiya assessed silently.
Tsunade felt bitterness and frustration welling up inside.
Konoha's leadership, by mishandling the Uchiha situation, had created a powerful enemy with their own hands.
He once belonged to Konoha—his strength should have belonged to Konoha!
The Other Side of the Cliff
"Hurry—quickly… record this… Uchiha Yu's Mangekyō Sharingan has the ability to absorb chakra!!"
"And also, immediately pass on the command: have the Konoha shinobi and Sunagakure reinforcements pull back and set up defensive formations."
"We're preparing to retreat!!"

Within the black-and-white vision of Hiashi and the others, Manda's mountainous body was burning with blue chakra flames. The shinobi controlled by the Yasakani all had flickering embers of chakra burning in their eye sockets.

Those blue chakra flames stretched into fine threads, all connected to Uchiha Yu.
He was continuously drawing chakra from them.

The nearby Sannin didn't yet grasp how terrifying this was. But the Hyuga, gifted with Byakugan, who saw the true form of this technique—were already beginning to feel the helpless despair of confronting a monster.
The sheer volume of chakra—vast as a stormy ocean—seemed like it could reduce them to dust if it were unleashed in full force.

Hiashi gritted his teeth, picked up his pace, and led the retreat down the cliff.
