C H A P T E R - F I F T E E N
Finn sped past Grind into the garages. Although I had never been there, I could see that there was a rectangular, one-story structure there as well. He stopped riding as soon as he reached the door. I got off, he followed, took hold of my hand, and as Finn led us inside, a motorcyclist held open the door for us. While they were hanging out in what appeared to be a pub, the motorcyclists were all awake and their attention was drawn to Finn and me.
As guys walked toward the front entrance, Finn hissed, "Callouts, brothers," but that was all he said. He continued taking me into the bar and around it to a back corridor.
Finn dragged me along the corridor. It was full of doors, and he brought me to the final one. He pushed it open and drew me inside. It was a bedroom that needed to be cleaned thoroughly.
A motorcyclist followed us in, and Finn stared at him, then at me.
"Are you finished with Falcone?"
" He asked what I thought was an outrageous question.
“What? " I inquired again.
"Babe, I'm curious, are you done with Falcone?"
"Um... sure," I said.
He looked at me and asked, "Are you sure about that?"
“Yes! What exactly are you --- ? ”
My inquiry was cut off. He turned to the biker as soon as he heard my response.
"Falcone demonstrates, any of his boys, you aim to maim and get her out of here." Yeah? ”
Oh my goodness!
“Finn!" I yelled, and he swiped at me.
Then he grabbed both sides of my head and dragged me up to his face.
"You may be through with Falcone, but Falcone isn't done with a woman until he's finished with that woman." I'm not sure why, but you just got yourself a predicament. And because I was there and nearly got shot right with you, peaches, this is our position. Do you understand what I'm saying? ”
I was terrified that I had, and that by acquiring him, I'd leaped out of the frying pan and into the flaming fire.
All I could say was "Finn."
"You get me," he growled as he stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut and locking it.
I locked my gaze on the door.
Oh boy.

My eyes opened as my body jerked.
I was dozing off on the undressed bed at what I took to be the Mayhem Compound.
The sun has set. Fortunately, my biker rations included a delectable pastrami on rye with melted Swiss cheese, curly fries, and a thick chocolate shake chased by a diet coke. I had been locked in for a long.
I was terrified and utterly bored at the same time. I was concerned about my father and Melinda, who would be concerned about me. However, I had no idea that I would doze off after haphazardly flopping down on the unmade bed.
I believe I slept.
I attempted to feel what woke me up, but I was unable. I listened while I peered into the pitch-black space, which was pleasantly lighted by light entering through the window.
I kept my eyes on the door and my ears perked up.
I first heard it then. a soft bang that resembled a body hitting the ground. a large body crashing to the ground. Perhaps a large biker's body sliding to the ground
Holy sh*t.
I sprang out of bed and started looking around the room frantically for weapons. There I was in yet another circumstance requiring a crowbar.
I couldn't locate a weapon in the time I had. I heard the gunshot because it destroyed the door's lock, and I also saw it.
Shit!
I sprang onto the bed and sprinted across it in the direction of the window, which I had previously seen was barred but was still my only hope. With one arm over my tummy, I was caught leaping off the other side of the bed. I let out a "oomph" sound before being twisted around and slung over a shoulder.
I made the decision to fight and yell at this point. My captor quickly bowed as I kicked, twisted, and yelled my head off in the hallway. After a violent landing, I was pushed even more firmly into the wall.
"I'll bind you and gag you if you don't shut up, Gia. I am not joking."
I looked at Falcone's shady face as I listened to his recognizable deep voice.
I closed it after cooling it. Suddenly, I was back over his shoulder.
When we finally arrived to the bar, eerie commandos flanked him. I also noticed the floor being covered in ghostly biker bodies. There was no electricity at all, not even on the beer signs, and the lights were off.
Once we were outside, Falcone and his men rushed to their SUVs.
Yes, Falcone ran to an SUV while carrying me over his shoulder.
Okay, so perhaps he wasn't quite a superhero. He could have been a superhero.
Then Falcone unlocked the car's passenger side door, and I was thrown inside. The commandos dispersed as Falcone circled the hood and holstered his pistol, and I observed his other hand making movements. We slid out of Grind's premises and onto the Highway when he folded in between me, turned on the SUV, and sped backwards like a speed demon.
I inhaled deeply before launching into "Falcone -"
He hissed, "Don't talk," and I gasped for air.
He didn't appear angry. He seemed furious.
He reached into one of his cargo pockets and took his mobile out. He opened it, pressed a few buttons, and held it up to his ear.
After a few of beats, "Ray?"
Oh my god. Dad.
"She's all right. I have her."
Shit!
Falcone came to a halt at a traffic signal. "I'm not sure, but she was in a secure area. He probably simply panicked out."
"May I speak with him?" I inquired, holding out my hand for the phone.
I glimpsed his face in the streetlights when his head turned to face me.
Then I pursed my lips and dropped my hand.
So, I couldn't talk to my father.
I was also in trouble.
It's useful to know... or not!
"All right, let me chat to her, check if she's eaten any food, and get her crap together. Yeah? " Pause. “Right. Later.”
He snapped his phone closed and flung it on the console with enough force to make it clang furiously.
I took a deep breath. Then I allowed him a few seconds to settle down. Then I tried again.
"Falcone -"
"Swear to God, Gia," he grumbled again and didn't continue, but that was enough. I closed my mouth. He plainly needed a few more seconds.
He drove, and I knew where he was going. To his lair.
I remained silent the entire journey. I likewise remained silent as he came to a halt before his large rolling garage door. I too remained silent and still when he exited, walked through a door to the side of the great moving door, and then the big rolling door slid up. Furthermore, I remained mute as he went back into the car, drove into the garage, parked, retrieved his phone, and exited.
I left as well.
He shut the door after going to the box on the cable. I hung on. He then proceeded to the interior door, pushed it open, and walked inside. He beeped in the codes on the security panel, and I took a deep, calming breath before following.
I made my way over to the platform and halted. He turned on lights while moving about. the one next to the corner chair. The sitting area has two standing lamps. He flipped a switch, and the kitchen was illuminated by lights I had not noticed hanging from long wires from the ceiling.
I leaned on the platform's iron support column.
