CHAPTER 43 NOTHING SCARES ME
NEXT DAY
Gisel woke up very early and got ready for the visit to her father's company. She wore a blue and white fitten dress and neatly brushed her curry hair over her back with a light make up on, exposing her charming beauty. She gazed at her reflection in the mirror, bemused at her new look and smiled.
" I love the new me." She muttered. Her gaze travelled down to her father's portrait in front of the mirror with a sigh; a faint smile spread on her face.
" I'll make sure I complete all your dreams dad– I promise to make your company the greatest and world's best. Trust me." She added. Not wasting anymore time, she gorgeously picked up some files from her drawer and trod out of the room.
Natasha sauntered out of her room with her gaze fixed on her phone while she scanned through it. She briskly shuffled past Gisel's door.
" Hope I get there on time to meet the board of directors. I really need to introduce these contracts to them– It was dad's biggest awaited contracts." Gisela mumbled as she hastily locked her door and turned to leave. But suddenly bumped into a soft wall, which sent the documents, flying in the air. In a glance, it scattered all over the floor.
She hastily crunched on her knees as she gathered back the documents. She kept ranting without checking who it was.
" Hey!– watch where you're going" She cried. " What's the rush for, Aggie?" Her voice echoed but a rather unexpected voice barked.
" Let me have those documents."
Marvelled by the statement of the person, she swiftly turned to see who it was as she swiftly picked up the last paper.
" You again? " She exclaimed with a grin. " Never !! , Natasha... not even in your dreams." She warned.
Natasha chuckled and drew closer to her, leaning a bit closer to her ears.
" Hand it over peacefully or live to regret the consequences sooner or later." She whispered and retrieved back. Gisella laughed with a smirk; she inched forward and leaned closer.
" I met evil as a child, Nat" She sneered. "So nothing scares me " A smile instinctively dazzled on her face. " Anyway, thanks to you, all those experiences you made me go through, shaped me into who I am now so just get out of my path– I've got a business to attend to." She replied and strolled past her, answering a call on her phone.
" Hello, Desmond....yes meet me at your junction. Don't worry, I'll be there shortly to pick you with my car. I'll be driving."
Natasha glared at her back with sailed lips, her eyes exposed her fury as she watch her fade downstairs. She scoffed, her mouth slightly twisted.
" I can see you're really prepared for this challenge, Gisel." She chortled. " Game on, let's see who survives after this fierce battle of revenge and defense." She expressed with a faint smile and stormed off into her room.
DOWNSTAIRS
Lizzy stood in the hall as she paced around, nervous and lost in thought while Lola strolled after her.
" Is she really serious about what she said last night" She sharply blew her cheeks. "Gosh, this girl is really becoming something else lately. How can she take care of this huge company without Natasha's help? – Where did she even get this strange attitude from?" She sighed with creased brow. " I don't seem to understand anything now. First, she was timid, care free and wired but after her return from wherever she vanished to that night at the hospital, she suddenly became like this.....What is really going on? I need to find out."
All along, Gisel stood at the end of the stairs with her worried gaze on her. She sighed, a chuckle eluded her mouth as she sauntered down towards her.
" Hey, Lizzy?" She called and Lizzy jolted, startled.
" Hey, Gisel....you're finally here" She wore a sheepish smile. "I've been waiting over an hour now– Let's get going." She uttered, dashing off to the door.
" Wait, Lizzy–" She cried, making her pause in her steps.
" What's it, dear?– Do you need something?" asked Lizzy, turning back with a sheepish smile, nervous.
" You seem a bit worried, aunty....Is everything alright with you?"
Lizzy became tensed, hearing Gisel's question but quickly brushed it off, forcing a smile.
" Oh, dear, why ask such a question? I'm perfectly fine. Let's go before we get caught up with time...."
"No, aunty." She snapped. " I've been watching you over the past 30minutes now and I saw how worried and tensed you looked." She inched closer to her. "Come on, tell me– What's eating you up."
" Um, it's nothing dear....come on, let's go...we're almost late. Desmond might be waiting by now–
Aggie!!! " She turned. "Hurry, come for Lola before it follows us out."
She exclaimed and trod out of the house without looking into Gisel's eyes. Gisel sighed and followed her out. She shrugged.
" Alright, if you say so– I just wanted to help." She called and sped after her.
They took Antonio's car and drove out of the house. Natasha stood in her room as she gazed at them through the window.
" Let's see how you arrive at that company, alive." She muttered with a grin.
