The silence soon fades away as if the movie was over. The man behind the counter snapped us back to reality.
"Ahmm.. (clears throat). As I was saying your friend needs to wait by that desk. Uninvited visitors aren't allowed to the upper floor." He said.
I gave him a glare seeing he spoke to us without giving the eye contact again.
"I'll be over there Joyce, you go fuck that interview." Peter reassured me.
I smile for some seconds as I watch him head over to the waiting desk, and then, I remembered something.

Finally arriving at the door, I took a deep breath and exhaled before I opened the door knob. I smiled walking inside but it didn't last more than 5 seconds before it swept away.
There were more than 10 people sitting down in this small hall to the interviewer's office , staring at me as I stood there feeling eerie. I joined them in the available seat without saying a word and feeling a bit embarrassed.
Seeing these men and women here as well means the competition must be tough, though I prepared myself to contend by taking another deep breathe and exhale.
